Breathing heavily I ran to where Jake and I used to sit and talk and fell to my knees. I didn’t want this on the day he was declared officially gone, I didn’t want confessions.
I covered my mouth keeping in a pent up scream and cried, I looked at the pond through my tears and pulled off my shawl and converse before stepping into the water.
It was cold but somehow relaxing, I sat down and looked at my reflection, the reflection rippled and was replaced by Jake and I when we were human.
“Hey Jake! Hold up!” I yelled, Jake stopped and turned towards me his bag over his shoulder. I ran towards him only to trip on the concrete and fall, he moved quickly and grabbed me only to fall over to.
When we hit the ground I felt something warm and soft touch my lips, my eyes widened and I looked at Jake who was just as shocked as i am.
We were both 14 in that image, he was my first kiss and I had planned on keeping it that way. I sighed and looked back down at the water before plunging into it, instantly I was surrounded by memories.
I gasped and realized I hadn’t choked on any water, I looked at my hands my eyes wide in shock.
My skin was hot pink, I froze and then felt for my face feeling gashes in the side of my face.
I spun around in the water and then froze when I met eyes with Jake. He smirked “that tattoo looks great on you akemi.” He said, I smiled automatically and answered with no control of my body “thanks!”
He disappeared into a cloud of smoke and then was replaced by another Jake next to me “so, tokoyaki for dinner tonight?” He asked, I looked at him “what?” I asked.
He grinned “I’m asking you on a date ms. Airhead.” He said ruffling my hair, I blushed “oh”
This same thing happened more then once before it all stopped abruptly. All the Jake’s that had been in my memories froze in place in the water.
I stared when ice started to form over them and a different figure walked through the sea of memories, he stopped and I stiffened.
He looked up and locked eyes with me, I waited for it to be another memory when he spoke words that he had never said before.
“I miss you...” he said his voice raspy.
Shivers went down my spine and I looked at my hand before gasping, the ring was gone and so was the heart on my cheek.
“Where did it go....” I mumbled, Jake’s ice cold hand touched my cheek.
“The heart and the ring....are both seals to keep your true form hidden away...” he answered before kissing me.
I blinked and kissed back before water trickled into my mouth and he disappeared, I choked and swam quickly to the surface before hands reached in and grabbed me.
I coughed as I was pulled free from the waters deathly grip, I fell to the ground gently before everything went black.
A high pitched scream shot through the air like wildfire causing me to shoot up in the bed and look around frantically. I threw the covers off of me and ran to the door before seeing kelly on the ground and kye stiff next to her with Sasha and the others staring in shock.
I pushed everyone out of the way and then dropped as soon as I saw the scene.
Harley was sprawled out on the floor, blood pouring from multiple cuts and her head. I took in a sharp breathe before scrambling over to her body before arms grabbed me from behind and splender walked in front of me.
“Leo...lock her in the room.” He ordered, his voice stricter then usual.
Leo frowned and nodded before picking me up and throwing me over his shoulder, I screamed and kicked and punched trying anything to get him to put me down before I gave up entirely and tears poured from my eyes.
I buried my face in the back of his shirt and cried violently before the tears turned black and stained his shirt.
“This is for the better...” Leo mumbled as he sat me in a chair, I looked at him hoping he’d see the pain in my expression. He did and ignored it before pulling out cuffs and a mouth muffler from a box.
My eyes widened as he turned towards me, I shook my head slowly and he sighed “listen...were only doing this because we know how she....was attacked” he said crouching down in front of me.
I glared through the pitch black tears “then there’s a way to help!” I yelled he sighed and stood up before cuffing my hands.
I screamed and tried to get them free only for them to dig into my skin, he winced slightly at the scream and then grabbed my face.
I bared my teeth and growled like a wild animal, he covered my mouth before he struggled to put the muffler on my face.
I kicked and thrashed as he turned to leave, I soon calmed down when he shut off the light and I cried.
