The Vassals get nervous and anxious
"Because most of you persistently want to selling the magic items, the Duke decided to exchange the magic items with foods instead of selling them"
All the Vassals shocked

Some of the vassals got mad because of Vincent's mockery, some are still confused, some are disbelieved and etc. The more important point are the room get quiet again.

Vincent trying to stay calm and take a glance to those vassals
*glare* "I've made a vows that I, Vincent Jasper only assisting the Duke for the rest of my life and can't assisting other people without the Duke permission. If you want me to assisting you, you should ask the Duke's permission or there will be consequences for forcing me to assisting you from the Duke" *glare with murderous aura at vassal E*
Vassal E frightened and the other vassals shut his own mouth down. The room get silent again.
"Sir Vincent, how about Sir Edward? Will the two of you work together on this matter?" *ask vassal C*
"Edward have his own works, this unimportant matters were thrown away by the Duke to this amateur and incompetent ones. And it seem the Duke can't come to believing his own vassals or he wouldn't be forced to make this inexperience guy take the responsibility instead. If the Duke didn't trust the Amethyst Dukedom vassals then I as his subject must follow him and can't take any vassals to assisting me" *Vincent continuously mocking calmly*
Some of the vassals get mad and some of them get cold sweats
"Anyway this things was decided by the Duke himself while I'm away, so I can't possibly influenced the Duke to made his decisions on this matters. If there were any objections I'll tell the Duke later and the Duke promise to hearing the objector opinions thoroughly and directly."

Vincent look at that Vassals
"Either the Duke looking for the objector himself or I bring that objector to the Duke myself! Or how about we arrange one more meeting tomorrow that will be attend by the Duke himself?"
The Vassal are all frozen.
They all know that Verduny didn't want to met them. Whenever Verduny meet a Vassals, that Vassals either get fired, resigning, get trauma, become an idiots, gone crazy, heavily injured, hospitalized, suicide, etc. That's why originally they were relieved that Verduny never went to any of the meeting and send his aide to the meeting instead.
*stuttering* "Sir Vincent, aren't the Duke busy? We shouldn't disturb him while he's busy" *smile nervously*
"Oh don't worry, I can assure you the Duke will attend the meeting and about his works, he have two aide to help him now. So he'll definitely can make it to attend the meeting"
All the vassals frightened and get cold sweats
*trembling* "Sir Vincent, there is no need to arrange another meeting. We all are agree to the Duke decisions."
"Really? Are there still any objection?" *empathizing*
All the Vassals were really quiet this time, some of them even hold his breaths.
"If not, then this meeting will end here. See you again next week" *tidying up*
Vincent stand up and all the vassals stand up and bowing. Then Vincent leave the room and the Vassals took a sigh of relief and left the room too.
Outside the Meeting Room
Vincent get out from the meeting room.
"Sir Vincent!"

"Sebastian? How was the letter? Did you already send it to Second Prince?"
** "Yes, I've send it. How about you, Sir? How was the meeting earlier?"
"That's was really a tiresome activity" *depressed*
Someone approaching the two of them
"Look at our new guy here" *smile*

"You're too formal. I already told you to just called me by my name, Jared. Aren't we both assisting the Duke? Don't be so dull, man!"
*sigh* "Yes, yes, I'll called you Jared" *still depressed*
*worried* "You seem tired, do you want to take a break at my workshop for a bit?" *pursuing*
"No, I need to get the rest of the reports in study room and bring it to the Lord immediately"

Vincent give up because too tired and followed Sebastian and Jared suggestion. Jared and Sebastian smile brightly. Then Vincent and Jared head to Research team's workshop

"What's wrong? Did something happen on the meeting?"
*glance at Jared* "It's nothing much, there is just dissatisfaction to me"
"Did they compare you with Edward?"

It's the first time for Vincent visiting the workshop. All the members of the research team were busy working.

The research teams stop their works and look at Vincent and Jared
"Let me introduce to you all, this are Our Lord Second Aide, Vincent Jasper" *introducing Vincent*
Vincent bow to everyone in the workshop

The research team members listen to Jared and continue their works.
*turn to Vincent* "Now, Vincent. Let's head to my booth"
Vincent nodding and follow Jared to the corner of the room. Along the way to the corner, Vincent was looking around the room.
"You can sit here" *point at one of the seat in there*
Vincent obediently sit down like Jared told him to do. Jared serve a potion on glass to Vincent.
*take the potion* "What is this?" *curious*
*sit down beside Vincent* "It's potion that I made myself. Only I and Edward that already have a taste of it. Now I want you to have a taste too"
*worried* "Is this safe? I've never seen a potion this bright red before" *suspicious*
*annoyed* "What? Did you doubt me? I was the one that made it. Just drink it! Your fatigue will decreasing gradually!"

Vincent reluctantly drink the potions
"I felt warm all of sudden, even though the potion are cold. Is this the side effect? Are this really safe?" *worried*
"Of course, that warm sensation were the cause that decreasing your fatigue."
"Is that so? What this potion made from?"
*look at Vincent* "That's a secret. Anyway it's your turn to tell me your story, right?"
*frown* "It's nothing really. It just seem the Vassal aren't satisfied with me."
"Don't be sad, that Vassal are heartless. Don't make it upsetting you!"
"But it's true that Edward were more brilliant than me."
"That's just because he was taught in the palace before"
"What do you mean?"
"Edward was taught in the palace to be the next Prime Minister of Foreign Affairs but he choose to be the Duke aide instead. Aren't that stupid decision?" *mock Edward*
Vincent stunned
*disbelieved* "Really? How could it be?" *curious*
"I don't know the full story of that, you should ask Edward himself about it. He was the first person to have his vow accepted by the Duke. In the past when I were in Royal Academy there were news that the Duke formally appoint Edward as his aide..."

One week after Edward come back to Amethyst from grounded in Peridot territory and formally announced as Verduny's aide.
In Verduny Study Room

*annoyed* "Edward! What have you done?! He's getting more loud!" *glare at Edward*
*giggles* "My apologies, but my Lord, you should do something if you want him to stop crying" *smirk*

Jared crying louder and louder. Verduny finally give up!
*shove Jared face* "Alright, alright! I'll accept your vows! Can you stop crying, Jared? You're older than me! Aren't you felt ashamed?!"

Jared smile brightly. Then Verduny formally take Jared vows with Edward as witness. After the ceremony, Verduny felt a bit loss like being a victims of some frauds.
