The next day
In the morning at Hunted Forest, Verduny enjoy his tea after breakfast in his tent leisurely
*come in* "My Lord, team 1 have arrived and waiting for your order in training area"
"Let's go" *stand up*
*salute* "Yes"
Verduny followed by Vincent leave the tent
Training area
All the soldiers were waiting for Verduny arrival
"His Excellency Duke Amethyst entering the area"
All the soldiers kneeling
*kneeling* "Greetings, Your Excellency"
"I originally want to increase the level of the training today."
The soldiers get cold sweats and nervous
"But unfortunately, I've matters that need to attend to. I'll postponed the special training for tomorrow."
The soldiers took a relieved breaths.
"Because the real training will be started tomorrow, you all won't come back until the next 2 days. And for today, I entrust your training to each supervisor on the teams!"
"Yes!"
*glare at the soldiers* "Don't you dare to slack off, I'll come back tomorrow!" *menacing*
"Yes!"
The soldiers respond to Verduny loud and firm. Verduny look at them for quiet awhile then leave and head back to the manor.
In Amethyst Dukedom manor
There are two people standing in front of Amethyst Dukedom manor gates. The two of them inhale and exhale their breaths together several times before approaching the gatekeeper.
*huft* *approaching* "Excuse me, could I ask to meet with the Duke and Duchess?" *smile*
"Who are you?" *suspicious*
The guard ask suspiciously.
"We're tailors from Wonderful Socks Boutique. We come here according the Duke invitation." *smile*
"Do you have proof that the Duke invite you?" *still look suspicious*
"No, Sir Edward come so suddenly and forgot the invitation." *smile and calm*
The guard looking at the tailors thoroughly for quiet awhile.
"Please wait here, let me confirm it for a bit"
"Yes, please do." *smile*
After awhile the guard come back.
"Welcome, Sir and Madam Tailors. The Duchess have waited you inside" *Let them in*
"Thank you" *they said it together with smile*
The couple enter the manor and finally arrived in the entrance. One of them trying to knocked the door. But the door suddenly opened before they could knocked the door. There are an old man standing behind the door.
*smile* "Welcome, Mr. and Mrs. Tailors. The Duchess have been waiting for you in the guest room, please follow me" *salute*
The couple following Sebastian and talking while walking
"It's been awhile, Mr. Sebastian"
One of them started conversation
"We last meet around 7 years ago, right?"
The other tailor came along too.
*smile* "Yes, we last met when the Duke order a suit for his ceremony coming of ages and his engaged to the current Duchess at the same time."
*pondering* "Come to think of it, he didn't order any suit for his wedding"
*smile* "That's because the Emperor have prepared it for him"
"Is that so, it must be the fancy ones!"
They have arrived in guest room
In guest room
Sebastian open the door. There was a lady and her maid standing behind the door.
*smile friendly* "Welcome to Amethyst Dukedom manor, Mr. and Mrs. Tailors"
The couple amazed to Lydia beauty and kindness
*amazed* "Are you the Duchess?"
Mrs. Stitchy grab Lydia hand. Lydia shocked.
*smile* "Hmmm? Yes." *a bit confused*
The two tailors was disbelieved and look at each other
*noisy* "I know he has a handsome face, but to think he get married to someone as pretty as you" *noisy*
*noisy* "Your Excellency, that person was a cold hearted person. He is never interest in any woman and there is even a rumor that the Duke have more interest to man instead of woman" *noisy*
*noisy* "That's true. Someone as delicate as you must be hurt and lonely life beside him. Just leave him and find other man!" *noisy*
*noisy* "How could an angel like you married to devilish grim reaper like him?" *noisy*
*noisy* "Did you get tricked by him too?" *noisy"
Mrs. Stitchy grab Lydia more tightly
*stunned* "Tricked?" *tilt her head*
The couple come to their senses, Mrs. Stitchy release Lydia hand.
*salute* "Greeting, Your Excellency Duchess Amethyst" *the tailor said it together*
*cough* "Ahem, Let me introduce ourselves. I'm Sketchy and she is my wife, Stitchy"
The two of them bows to Lydia. Lydia shocked when she know their named.
"My Lady, please let our guest have a seat"
Bella remind her and Lydia come to her sense.
*smile* "I'm sorry to make you standing for too long, please have a seat" *show them the sofa*
*melting* "Thank you" *they said it together*
The couple sit in front of Lydia. Bella serve the tea.
*smile* "The Duke are still in his way to come back here. Please enjoy the tea for now"
The couple drink the tea. After awhile Lydia started the conversation.
"I'm surprised that the Duke could invited the famous Mr. Sketchy and Mrs. Stitchy from Wonderful Socks Boutique. I though that you must be fully booked, but unexpectedly you two were still available. How fortunate!" *smile*
The couples fall silence
"Something wrong? Did something happened?" *Lydia ask curiously*
*suddenly* "Your Excellency, did you get fraud before marrying the Duke?"
*confused* "What? No?"
"Then why were you marry him?"
*confused* "Hm? Of course it's because I love him. Aren't that obvious?" *bluntly*
The two tailor look disbelieved and pity to Lydia
*abruptly* "Your Excellency! Don't be deceived with his look!"
"Even if he's handsome, his personality are nothing good!"
The two tailors said it worriedly.
"That's true, if it's not because of his black..."
*BRAK!*
The door were smashed open. All the people startled. They look at the door then Bella, Erin, Lyla and Sebastian bowing together immediately.
*salute* "Welcome my Lord" *Bella, Erin, Lyla and Sebastian said it together*
Verduny come in with Edward and Vincent behind him.
*smile* "My apologies, did I surprise you? I heard some noisy in here earlier. So I think there were rats and I want to scare the rats away for a bit."
The two tailors get annoyed and standing reluctantly.
*salute* "Greeting, Your Excellency Duke Amethyst" *they said it with annoyed*
Lydia stand up and rush to Verduny.
*hug* "Welcome back, my Lord. I miss you a lot" *smile happily*
Verduny smile and strokes Lydia head
*smile relieved* "Sorry to made you wait for too long, Lydia"
There are warm atmosphere around Verduny and Lydia. The tailor couples astonished looking at them.
*cough* "Ahem, my Lord, my Lady. The guest are still waiting"
Edward remind them.
*come to his sense* "Oh, that's true. They're still here. It's their fault that they have a little tiny presence on them. Please don't blame me for this." *smile*
Verduny looking at the tailors while still hugging Lydia. The tailors get irritated
*irritated* "My apologies, if we have a little tiny presences, Your Excellency." *Mr. Sketchy said it with a force smile*
*smile* "That's fine. Lydia lets seat and entertain our guests"
*still hugging* "Yes"
Lydia hold Verduny hand then Verduny and Lydia walk together to the sofa. Verduny and Lydia sitting close together, Lydia leaned her head on Verduny's shoulder and Verduny's hand hug Lydia. Meanwhile Edward and Vincent standing behind Verduny. The couples get more irritated and sit back down. Sebastian serve Verduny's tea.
*smile* "It's been awhile, Sketchy, Stitchy."
Lydia shocked, she turn her head to Verduny
*looked up* "My Lord, why were you called their named directly?"
"Why? Because I knew them. That's why I could invited them here without a problem" *smile*
"Is that true?" *still curious*
Verduny look at Edward. Edward smiling. Meanwhile the tailors look really pissed and irritated.
*smile* "That's true, my Lady. Our Lord really knew them. With a little finishing touch I could called them anytime easily" *look at the couples tailor*
The couple tailors were rag of mad.
*mad* "YOUR..."
*meddling* "It's been awhile since our last met. The two of you still look annoyingly lovey dovey like in the past" *smile*
*irritated* "Your Excellency! We're married already!"
*indifferently* "Oh, really? I don't know about it!"
*irritated* "Your Excellency, we've send you the invitations in the past. But you weren't coming on the day! How could you!" *mad*
*pondering* "Hm? Perhaps at that time I was away on a mission or I was at the war then"
The room get quiet
*quiet for awhile* "... Or perhaps the invitation accidentally thrown away?" *pondering*
The tailor couples frozen, Lydia dumbfounded, Edward trying to hold his laugh, Erin, Lyla and Bella astonished, Vincent stay calm and Sebastian keep smiling.
The invitation originally was received by Sebastian. Sebastian put the invitation in Verduny desk. After awhile Edward come and put a mountain of documents in Verduny desk, the invitation was crushed with a mountain of documents.
Verduny finished all the documents in his desk and send them back to his vassals then he look that one paper (the invitation) was left behind in his desk. He though that paper was one of the reply of the reports and send that paper along with the other reports to his vassals. The invitation was received by one of Verduny's vassals and that vassals was the one that came to the two tailors wedding instead.
*sigh* "Your Excellency, you didn't even invite us at your wedding. Did you forgotten us already? How could you be so cruel!"
"If I really forgot about you, I won't invite you right now. And about my wedding, it was arranged from the Emperor and happened suddenly. At that time I was invited to the palace after come back finishing one of my mission but when I got there, I was getting married." *annoyed*
Everyone shocked except Sebastian and Edward
*continue talking* "The Second Prince even didn't knew about this marriage, he only found out when all of the preparation was finished. If he knew this earlier, he will surely inform me before hand." *indifferently*
The Second Prince knew that Verduny were engaged with Lydia and will get married soon. But he didn't knew that the Emperor secretly prepared the Wedding Ceremony for Verduny and Lydia at that time.
The Emperor know that the Second Prince are close with Verduny and the Emperor afraid that the Second will tell Verduny about it. The Emperor prepared this sudden marriage because even though he urged Verduny to marry Lydia, Verduny only passively respond to this marriage.
*uneasy* "But... But the Emperor said that he already told you about it and you were agreed about it." *nervous*
Lydia feel uneasy
"Yes, he told me to get married immediately. But we have never discussed that I'll get married as soon as after finishing my mission before. And I even can't back down again because all the nobles already came. It's feel like being forced to get married." *irritated*
Lydia felt dejected. The room get quiet.
*smile* "There, there, don't be sad. It's all in the past, I'm fine now. And I know my Lydia won't forced anyone like the Emperor." *stroke Lydia head*
"Yes"
