"My Lord, it's almost dusk. Our food supply were run out. Perhaps there won't be enough food for dinner. What should we do?"
*writing* "Tell the soldiers, I gave them 15 minutes to find any monsters nearby for dinners. No, not only for dinner. We'll eat monsters meat starting tomorrow until finishing this training." *writing*
"Yes" *bow and leave*
Vincent leave the tent and come back 15 minutes later
*come in* "My Lord, the soldiers have come back with various monsters and currently dismantling the monsters"
*writing* "Good job" *writing*
*pondering* "But it's weird" *mutter*

Suddenly Verduny's communication device glowing with yellowish green. Edward was calling. Verduny stop his work and wield the device.
"Edward?"
"My Lord, Margrave Hematite send a letter stating he'll take a visit tomorrow."
"Bring him here as I told you before"
"Yes. That's right, I met Jared earlier. He told me, that he overheard Vincent meeting with the vassals in the meeting room because they're too loud"
Verduny look at Vincent, but Vincent ignore it and continue his works.
"Jared was shocked that the usual calm Vincent shut the Vassals mouth with his unexpected domineering attitude. I just can't imagine it"
*stare at Vincent* *smirk* "Is that true, Vincent?" *chuckles*
"Oh, Vincent was there?"
*look at Verduny* "I just did what I should do" *answer calmly*
*smirk* "Don't worry, they're just an annoying pest. I want to get rid of them, but it'll only increase my works and there will be complaints running around. If you can get rid of them, I'll give you a bonus" *smile sinister*
*glance at Verduny* "I'll keep that in mind"
*smirk* "Anything else, Edward?"
"The communication device for the Second Prince are ready. I'll bring it to you tomorrow"
*smirk* "Good job" *snickering*
"That's all my report for now, my Lord. I'll called you again if there's anymore news."

The device stop glowing and Verduny put the device back to his desk.
*writing* "Vincent, you'll meet the vassals again tomorrow, right?" *writing*
"Yes, the meeting didn't succeed today because too much argument among us. And I decided to continue the meeting tomorrow."
*writing* "Edward already told you about our plans. I'll clarify our plans for you. They want to sell the magic item, right? Tell them we'll exchange the magic item with food instead and you'll be the responsibility of this. If they're still insist to sell the magic item, tell them that they have two choice either meet me directly a or I'll be the one that looking for them. Then they can tell me their objection directly." *writing*

The two of them continue their works

Verduny wake up in the morning
*come in* "Good morning, my Lord" *serve the breakfast*

"My apologies, we'll be more busier today. That's why we should prepare ourselves earlier than usual" *indifferently*

Verduny eat his beakfast. After finishing his breakfast, Verduny clean himself with magic.
*come in* "My Lord, the soldiers have been waiting"
"Alright" *walk out*
Verduny come out from his tent and Vincent tidying the plates.
In training area
All the soldiers have been waiting for Verduny
"His Excellency Duke Amethyst entering the area"
Everyone kneeling
*kneeling* "Greeting, Your Excellency"
"Today are the last day you all training with the slimes. Do your best to destroy as many as possible. Alright, gather your position everyone!" *summon the slimes*
The soldiers spread out to their positions.

After summoning, Verduny head back to his tent.
In Verduny tent
Vincent tidying the documents in Verduny desk
"Welcome, my Lord. There are still a few documents that need your signatures"
Vincent put the documents that need the signatures in the desk.
*sit down* "There are just a few of them left" *inspecting*
Verduny inspect and sign the documents one by one, meanwhile Vincent make the herbal tea that Verduny like and serve it to him. After awhile.
*sound from outside the tent* "My Lord, Sir Edward and Margrave Hematite are here"
Verduny stop his works. Vincent put all the documents in his storage ring.
"Come in"
Edward and Margrave Hematite come in the tent.
*smile* "Welcome Margrave Hematite, I have been waiting for you"
*salute* "Greeting, Your Excellency"
*smile* "Please have a seat"
Margrave Hematite sit down in front of Verduny.
*smile* "It's been awhile, Your Excellency. How have you been? If I remember correctly our last meet was on that war a few month ago. You rejecting any gathering invitations, therefore we only meet if you visit me or I come visiting you like this. You almost never attend any events or banquets especially parties" *complaining*
*smile* "Yes, it's really been awhile and you're just as talkative as before, Margrave."
"Your Excellency, you have never visit me even for once. We just meet if there is a war upcoming. Aren't that a bit sad? You should..." *halt*
Vincent serve a tea for the Margrave
*drink the tea* "I have never seen him around you before, who is he?" *curious*
*smile* "He's my second aide, Vincent Jasper"
Vincent salute to Margrave Hematite
"There are rumor that Amethyst Dukedom run out of saving that they can't afford to bought any food for their people. But if Your Excellency could hire new aide then that rumor must be wrong"
*smile* "There are just rumor. Please don't believe them. Could I ask why the Margrave of house Hematite looking for me himself?"
"I came here to discuss about the upcoming war" *serious*
"Did His Majesty has decided how much of troops that will he send in this war?"
"Yes, but do you know Ferosperous Kingdom strength, Your Excellency?"
Verduny look at Edward and Edward nodding
*smile* "Lord Margrave, let me tell you about that"
Margrave Hematite turn around and looked at Edward
*start to read his own note* "The Ferosperous Kingdom have 80 high level magicians, 150 intermediate magicians, 250 ordinary magicians, 30 high healers, 50 ordinary healers, 1000 cavalry, 2500 elite knights, 5000 knights and 10000 soldiers. And there's also possibility they'll hire a mercenaries if a war occurred."
After Edward finished reading, Margrave Hematite get a cold sweats
*upset* "His Majesty only provide us with 750 cavalry and 13500 soldiers"
*frown* "Just that? How about the magicians and healers?"
The Margrave didn't respond to Verduny question. He is hesitating because the Margrave already know Verduny temperament.
"Margrave?"
Verduny ask again. The Margrave finally answer him nervously.
*gulp* *cold sweat* "The Emperor want Your Excellency to provide the magicians and about the healers, His Majesty state that magician can do some healing too, therefore there is no need to send any healers" *afraid and anxious*
*crack*
Verduny tea cup were broken and there were a crack on Verduny desk and Verduny's tea cup. Edward cast some repairing spell on the desk and Vincent clean the broken tea cup.
*creepy smile* "My apologies, it seem the tea cup has been used for too long" *dark aura*
Verduny releasing dark aura. Edward glance at Margrave Hematite. The Margrave looked frightened.
*smile while still casting the spells* "Lord Margrave, how about you get some fresh air for a little while right now?"
*flinch* "Yes yes" *leaving abruptly*
After the Margrave left, the atmosphere on the tent get more tense
*grip his fists* "That old bastard! Did he want the soldiers to dies in battlefield! Unreasonable! Send a letter about this to Second Prince. He must do something or I'll confront the Emperor myself"
"Yes"
Vincent answering Verduny request and quickly write a letter.
*look at Verduny* *sigh* "My Lord, the Second Prince communication device are ready. Please take a look" *take out something from his storage ring and put it on Verduny desk*
*calming himself* *observe the device* "This thing are too extravagant, compared to mine it's like the poor and the richest. It's too shinny to look at it. But it's good thought, since I want to show it off later" *smile sinister*
Verduny put the device on his storage ring
"My Lord, the letter are ready."
Vincent give the letter. Verduny checked the letter then take out a sign and stamp the letter.
"Give this to Sebastian and tell him to send it immediately" *give the letters back to Vincent*
"Yes"
Vincent save the letters in his storage ring.
"That's right. There's one more device for Vincent" *take out something from his storage ring*
*look at the device* "This one look like mine, the different are too much. Nevermind. Vincent, drop your blood on this. You'll need it in the future" *look at Vincent*
Vincent glance at Verduny then drop his blood on the device. The device glowing with bluish red color for awhile.
"Save it before the Margrave come back here"
"Yes"
Vincent save the device on his storage ring
*salute* "My Lord, thank..."
"Your Excellency" *sound from outside*
Margrave Hematite come in Verduny's tent abruptly
*approaching Verduny* "Your Excellency, your training! Could you give permission for my knights to train together with your soldiers in here?" *glittering eyes*
"Calm down, Margrave. Please take a seat first" *huft*
The Margrave sit down back
*look at the Margrave* "So, you want to join my training along with my soldiers?"
Nodding with all his might
*move his position straight to Margrave position* "Before that, how about we continue our discussion before?" *smile*
The Margrave come to his sense and the tent get quiet again
