FN-183's POV:
Any thought of rebelling left my mind as I struggled to my feet. The door in from the stair case was blown open and about 30 Deathtroopers had entered the building, opening fire with blasters, and slaughtering everyone in the room. Two of the guards who I had seen earlier rushed forward and aimed their own poorly mad blasters at them, but they could only get a few shots off before the guns stopped working and they were soon taken down quickly. Suddenly, I felt ZN grabbing my arm and pulling me away before I could say anything to the deathtroopers.
Most of the town was destroyed in balls of fire, as the deathroopers threw grenades into the surrounding areas. Before we could enter the hallway again, the doors were blown open by more grenades, one of them grabbed ZN and pulled her away from me. When I attempted to move, I was stopped, and surrounded by Deathtroopers. “Well, well, well.” I heard behind me. Spinning around, I came face to face with NB again. “Look who we have here.” Before I could speak, he hot me across the face. “What were you doing with these people!?!?” He shouted. “Nothing!" I shouted. “I was just doing my investigations here!” He shouted. He thought for a moment.” All right then, but I’m not the one who is to decide that.” He turned back to the deathtroopers.
While we were talking, the remaining civilians, and leaders of the undergrground had been rounded up by the Deathtroopers. He turned to one of the cameras they had set up around the site. “Let this be a message to all of you, who may plan to rebel again. About what we can, and will do to those who stand against us.” He turned to the commander. “Bring out their leaders.” The Deathtroopers stepped forward, and brought at least 20 men and woman up, but I noticed that ZNwas not one of them.” Kill them all!” He shouted. The Deathtroopers raised their blasters, and unloaded them into the crowd.
Instantly, all of them fell over dead, as I watched in horror. NB turned back towards the entranceway. “Alright, pack it up!” He said, over his shoulder. “But sir, what do we do with them? On of the Deathtroopers asked, motioning towards the civilians. “Kill them.” He said, before moving to wards the exit. The civilians screamed again, as The deathtroopers turned towards them, and slaughtered them quickly. The deathtroopers then began to quickly move out, leaving me alone, surrounded by corpses. I searched the bodies, for any sign of her, but I couldn’t find NB anywhere.
Finally, I was forced to move on, as the deathtroopers got orders to seal the cavern with explosives. I slowly, silently made my descent back up, and out of the destroyed underground base. Back in the main part of the city, I saw them playing the slaughter i had previously seen on massive holoscreen son the side of buildings, calling it the” Most successful event of the purge so far.” People, were already beginning to crowd around them, and cheering as the civilians were gunned down. Above us, the troop transports that NB was using to bring his troops flew overhead, with their job apparently finished. Soon, I returned to my hotel, ate dinner, and then went to sleep.
The next morning, I took the first transport back to Ovnorak IV as fast fast as possible, not wanting to stay on the planet a second longer. This time, I want in the mood for small talk, however, the now human pilot sis not share my thought on the matter. He tried to talk to me the entire way up to Ovnorak IV. Once there, I retreated back up to my apartment building, turned off the holoscreen that had been set too before I left, and just stared at the ceiling for a moment, questioning everything that had just happened. Before I could think too deeply about it however, I got another notification on my tablet.AA-110 wants to see me immediately.
Quickly, I rushed onto the streets, dodging people who were becoming victims of the new purge, and those who were still watching the propoganda videos, and soon renpentered the ministry of justice’s main building, moving into the same waiting room as before. There were others who were staring at me, many of the having broken noses, and open wounds. A few were being treated by nurses, but most were being pushed past, and ignored. Eventually, I was called back into the office for the second time
