Ricky and Paige, two of the security guards here are leading me, Louis and Kelsey through the centre of the city that's here. We know Paige... She's one of the ex-guards from our world, but her name was Diana there and she was living with that name there comfortably... Why is she here?
The world around us was a dense woods before, but now it's covered by a thick blanket of snow. We've all seen snow before, but back home on the ground, it hardly snows anymore. It just doesn't reach us unlike what it did when we were stuck trapped in the sky before.
I wonder if it's possible to have some fun while were here? Would sure upset the leaders here if we did.
"Guys!"
I look up to see Cloud standing in-front of what looks like a boarding house. We all start running towards Cloud and he embraces us all in a hug, but then pulls back. Ricky and Paige smile to each-other and walk away.
"Guys, listen to me, this situation is really bad, I'm not goanna lie to you and Valerie don't blame yourself, okay? They have everyone here, normal people like us are being held prisoner here, they're not free to leave and being forced to work long hours in a variety of positions all for the sake of 'earning their keep' to live here.
"I will admit this all very suspicious situation, Cloud. I suspect there is more going on than just what meets the eye. These people have altered us, Cloud. Look, we look like adults!" Cloud panics.
"Oh, you guys, do..." Cloud stammers, clearly worried. "Do you remember what they did to you?"
"No sadly." Louis and Kelsey respond, saying the exact same sentence. I think back to waking up. My dream... I really don't want to talk about it, it was just a nightmare, I bet because of whatever was done to us. A side-effect of it.
"Uh, so... What do you guys want to do? I have a suggestion, but I'm not going to force you to anything you don't want to do and, you may look like adults and the psycho leaders here may want to treat you like adults from here on out, but I want you to know that you guys aren't adults, okay?"
"B-but we are..." Kelsey whispers. "No, this is just on the outside you hear me?" Cloud growls. "You're not listening."
"Hey! Instead of arguing about this, can we talk of escaping?" Luis demands and looks to me. I look back at him. "What you want to me to back you up?" I ask. I see Kelsey glare at him, saying, 'this is your fault were here'
She's two faced, I know she is. Will act like she loves everyone around her and want to be their friend, especially in-front of Louis, but I know what you're really like when his not around. I cross my arms.
"We should leave... So, how you guys wanna do it? We fell down through a portal." I speak. "It might be possible to go back up the way we came." Cloud smiles, reaching out to touch my shoulder.
"Not sure, but we will find a way in the end hopefully. I believe in us!" Kelsey smiles, squinting her eyes and wavy pigtails filled with sparkly clips, held by colourful scrunchies bouncing with her as she moves around.
"So, if we are stuck here for the moment then... what do you suggest we do in the mean time?" Kelsey snaps all of a sudden, her fake-good mood changing. "Do what everyone else is doing?" Louis suggests while pointing. Me and my friends turn around to see other people are talking in small groups, a couple handshakes or something is exchanged. People are exercising and some are taking a breather with equipment like gardening tools set up, dug into the ground next to them.
"We can pretend to blend in for the moment, but getting out of here will be our primary focus." I whisper and then a chill runs through me and my friends. We all shiver. "It's cold here." Luis mumbles. "We should head to sleep or something for tonight. It's becoming dark out soon, not to mention cold and still exhausted from being lost for days.
If we are somewhat rested we can come up with a plan in the morning for escaping, but we have to be smart about this, because if those people running this place find out? I would hate to think what they will do to us!" Cloud worries. We all nod.
I end up shivering again. "Aww, poor thing." I hear Luis say and he comes over to give me a hug to warm me up. I see Kelsey look subtly angry.
"I wish I had my robe from class now." I mumble. "Me too." Kelsey states and then she looks to Cloud. "They confiscated all our clothes, I.D, anything we had on us."
"Well, shit. This makes things hard now doesn't it? Not to mention, we'll be dependent on this community for the things we need." Cloud curses. The lights around us begin to dim and I see people heading into the large building behind us, the world around becoming much darker.
"Everyone get to your sleeping quarters, it's lights out!" A guard calls. I jump back a bit scared and Kelsey grasps onto me, twitching nervously slightly. Once everyone is gone, it's just me and my friends. "Did you not hear what we said?!" The Guard grumps at us. "We would, but we don't know where WE are sleeping!" Kelsey bites back.
"I could write you up, ha!" Grumps the Guard. "Go through those doors and you along with your group are in the last room on the left at the end of the hall. In other words... Now, go!"
The Guard walks away from us and we decide it's best just to head inside. Get out of this snow for a start.

After we have located our room are settled in, we each start poking around. We conclude were safe 'as such' but people could still be listening, everywhere."We need to find somewhere to talk freely." I whisper. "What, why?" Luis asks. "She has a point though." Cloud speaks up.
"People in this place could be looking out for themselves and likely wouldn't hesitate to throw a friend under the bus or double cross someone."
"Anyway..." Kelsey announces. She walks over to two cupboards in the room and opens them revealing... Grey P.j's and clothes that are also grey like what were wearing now. "I like colour, especially pink." Kelsey pouts. "The clothing every else is boring too. Browns, dark yellows, dark green and mostly grey and other colours that are clearly faded and everything."
"Other than the clothes here, Kelsey which you're complaining about, the room it's self is small. Four beds and a balcony we can go on and that's it. My guess is bathrooms are located somewhere else and it's a shared one." Luis states, placing a hand on Kelsey's back who smiles at him, tilting her head.
We all end up changing into the P.j's provided and each claim a bed. We all wish each-other and bunker down to sleep for the rest of the night, wanting it to pass quickly so we can form an escape plan and get it into action asap.
