Stan wakes up, seeing in the morning Jorogumo cleaning the blood of creatures from her suit, he gets up and sees the guns and the ammo that is left, he says to her "that is five to six magazines for everyone" Jorogumo look at him with her eyes narrowed "if we are resourceful it can be enough" "do you know where the energy source is?" she look at the device and says "four miles" Stan place his hands behind his head and look above, Kalevi and the others come to him, everyone seem exhausted except Egine and Eremis, Jorogumo tells them "gather the supplies, we will depart on ten minutes" as they gather their supplies Eremis sees from afar silhouette's fighting with small limbless creatures of the dessert.

Eremis shouts "we have to leave, they followed us" Jorogumo look to the human creatures, five of them now coming towards them "we have no time, leave everything heavy and let the other supplies here" they do what she says and run, Jorogumo leading forward, Stan stays behind Aphrodite, the human creatures start closing the gap between them, Egine and Hierme shoot, Jorogumo shout at them "keep your bullets for an emergency situation" Egine obeys but Hierme continue shooting, shouting even louder than Jorogumo "with all respect commander but how isnt that an emergercy situation?" "only if your life completely depends on it" Hierme shoot one down, reloading the magazine, Joroguno shots again louder, even the creatures hearing her "Hierme obey my orders" she lowers the gun and continue running, some meters beside them the sand starts rising from their left and right, making a large cloud of sand and water, Jorogumo goes right inside, using her gun to draw their attention while Stan and the others leave from the right, she half empty the magazine and kills two creatures inside the sand, the human creatures and the other follow her, she run with incredible speed, killing one more creature of the sand, she run to a circle while the creatures jump out of the sand, showing their white wings and skin and their huge mouth with almost no teeth except at their corners of their mouth, she run straight to the human creatures and they clash eith the creatures of the sand, ripping them out as Jorogumo flee and go back to the others, finding them siting behind a hill , their throats dry and their suits giving them water.

She looks at them and says "we have to continue, we have only four days left" Stan says " lets rest for a while" Jorogumo opens her mouth but from the hill one of the human creatures is seen, the soldiers raise the gun at the wounded monster, carrying its small companion dead body in his back and its hands up and holding a rock.

Jorogumo shouts "do not shoot him" she goes in front of it, the monster starts writing down with the rock, Jorogumo eyes open wide staring at the writing with rage, the monster throws the rock at her, before writing the others came, still holding their guns, Egine asks "ms Jorogumo, what did he say?" Jorogumo starts writing, the rock starting melting and saying " strange two foot creatures, talk to us as we and we are not here to kill, we and the others want to offer you a safe place" she ends writing and the creature starts writing back, jorogumo translates " children, more than what we can save, but we cant let our own children die in so little time, please offer your bodies to our children and they will keep you safe" Egines jaw dropped, Eremis responds " it fascinates me this creatures can communicate with other beings" Jorogumo writes back and the creature responds back, Jorogumo translates again "this place is not for you, instead of wasting your lives give your bodies to our children, save them and they will keep your mind until the end when you will be released" Jorogumo writes once more and the creature says "with time we can adapt and take bodies and information, as we did with one of yours but as we see this is not what you desire, we will take this body and leave peacefully" the fungus move the body as one, slowly leaving but hierme shoot it, the mind and nerves dying and with it the fungus, Jorogumo says at her "they were not a threat" "they killed our own,isnt that a reason to take revenge from them?" before Jorogumo talks Sia responds "they didnt kill them because of feelings, they just needed bodies to let them and their children to suvive and now you just wasted more bullets" the night starts falling and Jorogumo leads them in a lonely place surrounded by black rocks that cover them and less water vaporising and coming out, they sit there and as Hierme leave the gun Jorogumo asks "you wasted ammo for nothing" "nothing? they killed our people, the" Kalevi rise up and says "is your people all that you care? Don't you give a damm about the lives you gave to them? And you Stan, you became a puppet, you were the only one that raise hia voice about an incident outside of your planet, why did you changed like that?" Stan hit the rock he sit, his knuckles start flowing with blood "because i wanted to protect what is left, Mason and Alina died in this planet, two of my older friends" he make a brief pause and torn his skin " i wanted to protect Aphrodite, even if i made the most awful desicions i still love her and maybe inside me i wanted to put an end in my life" Aphrodite look away, saying "Stan it was never ment to work with us,it was just a fantasy of two people searching desperately for love, just forget about me and continue on with your life as i did" Stan eyes pulled together and hit the rock , Egine try to grab his shoulder but Stan push her with force away, Aphrodite helps her get up and says "forgive him, he cant control it" Egine nod her head and clean her suit,saying "Kalevi do you believe we wanted to give this lives so easily? we are not monsters but we couldn't do anything else" Kalevi responds " you could give the lives of your own people, but of course, you couldn't do that to your own, thats what i hate the most of you and everyone, thinking only about themselves" he continues and mumurs inside his lips , Egine gets ready to speak and Jorogumo goes infront of Kalevi "you are absolute right, we could have give our lives of our own, but in my mind i thought it would be better to give to the creatures people that could not be useful, you have every right to judge me but remember that if i gave them seventy lives of my people maybe we wouldn't be here" Aphrodite's and Kalevis heart skips a beat, and Aphrodite says "you dont even show an emotion that you tried to feed us to them, and you Stan, would you say nothing that she tried to feed you to them?" Stan says nothing, only looking at his gun, Aphrodite suddenly get the gun of Egine and scope at Jorogumo, without even having time to respond Aphrodite pull the trigger and Egine using her body as a shield.

The bullet destroy her shoulder, Stan and Hierme quickly take the gun away, Eremis and Jorogumo run to help her, Jorogumo lay her hand on Egines shoulder and says "never risk your life again for me" Egine responds " you are the one who helped us keep our planet when I was a girl in the lines I saw you always first, I own you my life" Stan watch Jorogumos hand flickers, he looks behind him watching Eremis with his eyes wide open the same way she look at him, Sia and Hierme tie Aphrodite's hands, Kalevi try to help her but he falls and Hierme hitting him without restrain, making his nose bleed, Jorogumo place the syringe at Egine, making her bones and veins heal, Eremis watch and Stan look at Aphrodite with his eyes lower.

From the distance they hear a piercing sound, their bodies shiver excepts Jorogumo, they take the guns and look at the direction of the source, the same sound is heard again in the same long distance, Jorogumo says "run" they run to the highest place in close proximity, a black stone in a hill, the soundd is heard again and infront of them, two small creatures with spike on their back and blending with the sun run in the group, Jorogumo shoot around the sand and kills them, shooting more and more as they approach and making them retreat, Aphrodite and Stan go first and climb the stone, Egine, and the others follow and Jorogumo shoot more of them and she runs to the rock and she falls down, she try to move her legs but they dont respond, she notice spikes sticking to her legs, more creatures come to her and Stan and the others try to hold them back with the creatures moving and blending with the sand, hiding under it or becoming invisible, Jorogumo desperately move her one hand to move closer, her arm stops moving and she sees spikes holding her to the ground, she try to move with her other hand and the spikes start dragging her away, she try to shoot it and more spikes tear her gun.

Egine jump from the rock holding the last grenade and her weapon, she jump over the spikes, manouvering and as she reach Jorogumo she try to find a way to cut the spikes, Jorogumo try to reach her with her other hand and says "pull me" Egine grab her hand and pull her, ripping her sybernetic arm, Egine carry her to her back, she run with her adrenaline flowing through her body, they see the ground full of spikes, Stan and the others try to hit them with no results, Jorogumo shoot some of them with no more bullets left on the gun, more creatures come from behind them and Egine grabs the grenade, placing Jorogumo down and looking at the grenade with a smile "Jorogumo keep Hierme and Sia safe for my sake, its so sad i couldn't live to see our people free, but at least i will die fort he one who can make it come true" Egine falls to the spikes with ter grenade, killing most of them and making them retreat in fear, Jorogumo look with her mouth open and her body completely froze, she clean the blood from her face as it drop in her eyes.

Sia and the others come, looking at Jorogumo and the place Egine died, Eremis grabs Jorogumo and carry her, shouting "we have to move" Sia, Hierme and Stan dont hear her shout and Sia look at the place with an emotionless face, Hierme pull a part of her armor with enough strength to tear it and then ripping it to two and Stan collecting a small piece of her armor, Eremis grabs Hierme and Sia and Says with a soft voice "we have to move, the source is close" Hierme responds "just give us a moment, we work ourselves all this time just let us for a minute" Jorogumo says "we will let you, you deserve it, but after that i want you to run with us at the source" Hierme says nothing and they mourn, Stan comes and gives Hierme and Sia the piece of Egines armor, Sia says "at least she died as she desired, lets continue" they run to the source, Eremis start digging to the ground, she found the source, a black ore with solid surface but eremis is still able to look inside it water, air and many more minerals, she handed it to Jorogumo and she place it inside a bag, they sigh and the sound of the wind catches their attention, they look above and they see particles of sand gathering, the wind becomes stronger and the sand starts to limit their view, they fall to the ground and infront of them a large black creature appears, it's four large legs shinning from the metal, the body spanning fifty meters vertically and it's shows its red gaze to them and slowly move it's leg upon them and lower its long black neck and showing its large square teeth to Jorogumo and Eremis, Eremis pushes Jorogumo and the bag to Hierme, shallowing Eremis and seeing in its neck Eremis trying to escape, Jorogumo narrow her eyes and says "Hierme" Sia comes forward and takes Jorogumo to her back and shaking Hierme, making her snap her gaze from the creature, Stan and the others wait for them and they run as far as they could.

The creature reach its mouth again, faster than before, Sia shouts "Hierme" and Hierme look at her, "run for your life" She drops Jorogumo and the source at her, Hierme grabs them and the creature's teeth desolate Sia, hearing her last scream before the crunch of her flesh at the creature's teeth, Hierme run even faster, shouting "fucking monster" the monster shallows Sia, Aphrodite scream from fear and the monster comes again, hitting its leg down to the ground with force and making Hierme and the others fall, it opens its mouth and Hierme led Jorogumo and the source to Stan, trying to reload her gun and the creature eats her, Jorogumo and the others watch behind them as they run, seeing small holes at the creature's neck, the creature lower its neck and raise it back, making the sand rise close to it and vanish.

Jorogumo look at the falling sand and says "let's continue, we have to find shelter and in two days we will leave" Kalevi says "aren't you even going to mourn? this person die for you" Jorogumo open her mouth but Stan speaks first "that's how we will mourn them, we cannot show any emotion now, we have to leave and take the source with us, with this way we will show them that we mourn" Jorogumo says nothing and they continue to a small cave, the black stones holding the roof, Stan leaves Jorogumo to the ground along with the bag, Kalevi and Aphrodite sit on the opposite side, Aphrodite touch the solid floor and says "its a lot colder than when we were outside" Jorogumo says " its the perfect temperature, we can stay here until the USS comes" Kalevis, Aphrodite's, and Stans stomach rumble, Stan says "we have to eat a whole day" he takes one of the two weapons and gives it to Jorogumo "hold this weapon to protect yourself" Aphrodite look at Stan and Kalevi says "why giving her a weapon when she can't even walk or shoot?" "Jorogumo is experienced with a gun and her physical strength is enough for her to shoot at the targets, also she will not try to kill the two of you" Stan takes the other gun and leaves, hearing behind him Aphrodite and Kalevi shouting, he takes a look at them and continue to the dessert.
