“Hey.” One of my friends said, walking through the gate with a wrapped present.
“Thanks for coming,” I said gratefully and hugged her.
I walked quickly over to a table where the party flower necklaces, anklets, and bracelets were at. I grabbed some of them off the table and gave them to her.
“Put it on,” I said.
“Uh, okay.” She put them on.
“They look adorable on you.” I complimented them.
“Uh, thanks.”
“YO! I’m in your backyard!” A familiar voice called out.
I turned around and saw one of my other friends, “Hey Krys!” I called out.
“Whoa… all hail the princess nymph.” She joked.
I laughed and smiled.
Lea laughed as well.
“So, where am I supposed to put my birthday party gift for you?!” Krys asked.
“Oh, I’ll take it.” My mom said and took the present away and went inside.
“Go over there and put on some flower jewelry.” I pointed to the table where the flower jewelry was at.
“Okay.” Krys shrugged and walked over and put some on.
After a while when all my friends got here we began to play some games. First, we played a scavenger hunt, then we painted some rocks, then made some fairy potions, and we did other things. That was when I noticed something strange, right there in the lemon and grapefruit trees was a very bright orange bird with pure golden scales along with shiny blue sapphire eyes. I blinked my eyes and it was gone. Now that was something I could not just ignore.
“Is something wrong K?” Krys asked.
I turned around, “Nothing.”
Krys eyed me suspiciously, “Okay?”
I breathed in calmly and just went back to playing with everyone else.
This is normal… I thought. This was normal, I knew it was just a vision or so I thought…
“Movie time!” My dad called out.
I jumped in the startlement.
“Guess you are a little jumpy.” Lea had joked.
I rolled my eyes.
“What are we watching?” Mick asked.
“You have to tell us soon!” Mick yelled.
I giggled uncontrollably.
“Why are you giggling?” Mick asked.
“Eh, I dunno why.” I lay under my breath, trying to cover my giggles.
The movie began to roll and I held my breath, excitedly jumping up and down in my seat.

Chapter 3: My Cake Turns To Ashes
As we were watching the movie I noticed the food on the table shake a bit.
“Uhh… K, what is that?!” Krys pointed at the table.
“I don’t know,” I responded.
“Let’s get back to the movie.” I noticed the food stopped shaking.
“Okay…” Krys sounded like she wanted to say more.
“Um… why is there an orange bird under the food table?!” Pointed Joe, one of my other friends.
As I opened my mouth to respond something came over me, something controlled my mouth and before I knew it I said that the bird under the table was me and my family’s pet, even though it wasn’t. I thought as I looked under the table, the bird seemed to smile at me. I looked up, trying to ignore whatever my friends were saying or the bird staring.
“K? Earth to K.” Krys annoyed me.
“Lemme try. K, Earth to K, Zadia to K, can you hear me.” Lea yelled in my ear.
“Yeah?” I asked.
“Why were you staring at the distance?” Lea asked.
“I dunno,” I said.
After a while, as we were almost finished the movie my mom called out that it was time for cake.
I smiled excitedly and I ran straight across the backyard to where my mom was carrying my birthday cake.
“Whoa! Slow down!” My mom ordered, though smiling..
“I can’t slow down, it’s just my impulses.” I jumped.
My mom smiled and walked to the table area where almost everyone sat down. She then placed the detailed magical forest cake on the table and I sat down in the chair of honor.
Everyone then began to sing happy birthday to me and when they finished I blew out the candles.
Suddenly the sky grew dark, even though it was nighttime, and then CRASH!!!
“Umm, let’s go inside to eat cake.” My mom suggested nervously.
Suddenly a big bolt of lightning appeared, and before I knew it, hissssssss, smoking ashes, and charcoal were only left of my cake.
My legs shook in terror at the sight.
“Mount Olympus is… angry…” My father said quietly in a terrified voice.
The earth began to shake terribly.
“Very angry.”
“Dad, what do you mean?” I asked, my fear suddenly turning into anger for no reason.
“My brother is here…” My father stated.
“For what?” My mother asked.
“For K.” My father pointed at me.
“We have to get her out of here,” Lea said.
Everyone at the table nodded in agreement.
“What’s going on that I am not knowing?!” I asked, now standing on top of the table.
“I’ll explain later, just GO INSIDE!,”
