Made a pasta dish for my parents... One of dad's quick go-to-dishes, I mimicked his process from memory. So I made the dish, served it, and went on my way. Later, I asked them how it was since it was my first time making it. Mom enjoyed it. Dad...didn't like it. Why?
"The pasta is supposed to be Al Dente!"
"I don't like it Al Dente!"
"That is how you cook it in Italy; it is healthier for you!"
"We are not in Italy."
