Vincent had been staying with Uno in an apartment complex in New York. It was a small, cozy place, with just enough room for the two of them.
They spent their days relaxing and enjoying each other's company. Even though Thing seems reserved and well, Vincent still have a gut wrenching feeling about what happened back then between Uno and him, despite of having the most powerful ability user who can even erase his memories or the thought itself, the way the things of between Temmy and him still stuck with him, as if although it was resolved in a emotional level, but deep inside that is still words that left unsaid, and bring it up may just unraveled that sheet which Uno wrap himself around.
One day, while the two were lounging in the apartment, Vincent decided to broach the subject.
"So, um...about the incident..."
Uno's face immediately went blank, but his tone was casual.
"Yeah?"
"What really happened between you and Tammy?"
"Nothing," he said with a shrug, "she tried to betray me, and I had to make sure she couldn't do it again."
Vincent looked at him skeptically. "You and I both know that is more complicated than that, right?"
Uno sighed.
"I suppose. What do you want me to say? That I was wrong? Fine, I was wrong. I shouldn't have done it, but I had no choice."
"Of course you had a choice. You could have just not hurt her at all. Instead, you erased her memory."
"If I hadn't, she would have intentionally the operation. You know that."
"Maybe, but is that really what matters most to you? Protecting yourself?"
Uno frowned.
"No, it isn't. I just did what was necessary. Don't make it out like I'm some kind of monster."
Vincent stared at him.
"I'm not saying that. I'm saying that maybe you should think about how others might perceive you if you continue doing things like that. If you want people to see you as something more than a monster, then you need to act accordingly."
Uno didn't respond. He simply turned away and stared out the window.
"I think there is more to this, isn't your whole thing being the 'world of idea'?"
Uno was silent.
"Uno, you can't keep shutting me out like this. I want to understand, but you have to help me."
Uno still didn't say anything, so Vincent continued.
"Look, if you don't want to talk about it, that's fine, but at least tell me why you did it."
Uno sighed.
"To be honest, I don't know why. I just did it. I can't explain it any better than that."
"Well maybe you're just not facing your real emotions..."
Uno turned to look at him, his eyes narrowed.
"I think that's enough," he said. "You need to let this go. It's over."
"No, it isn't. Not until we talk about it. Not until I understand what happened."
Uno shook his head.
"You don't need to understand. All you need to know is that I did what I had to do. And if you can't accept that, then there's no point in talking anymore."
Vincent brought a piece of paper, using his pen and draw rapidly onto it.
"What are you doing?" Uno ask.
"I draw a concept of deep emotional understanding concept ability, my own kind of mind reading." Vincent reply seriously.
"What is that going to accomplish?"
"I'll know what you are thinking."
Uno laughed.
"That won't work."
"It will. Now, let's talk about it. You have something more than simple emotion, and I know it."
Uno looked at him, his eyes full of confusion.
"Fine," he said, "but don't blame me if you don't like what you hear."
"I'm ready."
Uno hesitated for a moment, then began speaking.
"You're right. I do have something else. Something that goes deeper than just simple emotions."
"I knew it!" Vincent exclaimed, "So, what is it? What is this thing that goes beyond emotions?"
Uno was quiet.
"Come on, you can tell me. I won't judge."
"It's a feeling," he said, "a feeling of domino effect, as if one thing that would led to another, and because of that, I often use the feeling to get the results I'm comfortable with... yet here we are. "
"A feeling?" Vincent asked, confused.
"Yes, a feeling. A feeling that something will happen if I do a certain thing, or if I don't. A feeling that tells me that certain things will lead to others."
"Like a premonition?"
"I guess. I don't really know how to explain it. But I just know that if I do something, something else will happen. And sometimes that feeling is strong enough that I have to do something."
"And during why I decided to shoot Temmy, we both know what's going on inside our head, we connected each other, as if a mental process of the optimal outcome between both of our desire, it play out the way it did."
Vincent sat there, trying to make sense of what Uno was telling him.
"So, let me get this straight," he said, "you're saying that you have some sort of precognitive ability that tells you how to act in certain situations?"
"Not exactly. It's more like a feeling that I have. A feeling that if I do one thing, something else will happen. Sometimes the feeling is strong enough that I have to act on it. Sometimes it's not."
"So in that situation, because Temmy understand your whole thought of process and your desire of goal, she makes some kind of counter offer of exposing everyone there, yet know that would happen from the beginning the day that Due task me to watch over Temmy, so in extension Temmy and Uno know that the situation would come forward in that predicament?"
"That's right. We both knew what was going to happen. And we both knew what the consequences would be."
"And you did it anyway?"
"We did. Because it was the only way to get what we wanted."
Vincent was silent for a moment, trying to digest what Uno was telling him.
"Is that why you did it? To get what you wanted?"
"Partly, but that is also a selfish part of me, because I think I'm treating you like some kind of emotional fulfillment on my part."
"But isn't that a natural human thing? Like we always crave for a bond and relationship with another human, to connect to something."
"Maybe, but I just can't shake the feeling that I'm using you for my own selfish reasons."
Vincent smiled.
"I'm flattered. But it doesn't matter. The fact is, we're both here now, and we can either enjoy this time together or spend it worrying about things that don't matter."
"You're right. Let's not waste our time on things that don't matter. There's nothing we can do about the past anyway."
"So, are you gonna tell me why you're acting so weird now?"
Uno took a deep breath.
"I've been thinking about the future. About what's going to happen to us."
"You mean with the organization?"
"No, I mean with us. With you and me."
Vincent laughed.
"You want it to be some kind of father and son relationship? Adoptive parents? Or are you afraid that turn it into some kinky shit you unintentionally created which you can't handle?"
"Partially... You still remember the whole cuddling dream right?"
"Yes, it's a rather memorable night, I can't seem to forget it."
"Well, you have to know I did that unconsciously. I'm sorry."
"Don't be. It was nice."
"Yeah, it was."
They were both silent for a moment.
"So, what are you thinking about?" Vincent asked.
"The future. Our future."
"Do you think about it a lot?"
"Yes, all the time."
"So, what do you think is going to happen to us?"
"I don't know. I've been trying to figure it out, but I can't seem to come up with an answer. All I can conjure up in my mind even now is that you and Temmy have a beautiful family."
"Do you think that's possible?"
"I don't know, but it's the only thing I can imagine."
"And how do you feel about that?"
Uno shrugged.
"I don't know. It doesn't matter."
"It does to me."
Uno smiled.
"I suppose. I guess it would make me feel better if you could give me some sort of closure."
"And what kind of closure are you looking for?"
"I don't know. An understanding. Maybe an agreement. I just want to know that you're not going to leave me."
"I won't."
"Good."
"And if that's what you want, then I won't either. I'll stay by your side as long as you want me to."
"Thank you."
Vincent put his arm around Uno.
"You're welcome."
They were silent for a moment.
"Do you think Temmy is alright? I still don't know what happened back there..."
"About what?"
"Her memories. Do you think she'll remember everything eventually?"
"I don't know. It's not like anything like this has ever happened before. She's probably still going through a lot of shit, and it might take a while for her to adjust. But she's strong, and she'll get through it. And if she needs us, we'll be there for her."
"And you'll be there for me, right?"
"Yes, always."
Uno closed his eyes and rested his head on Vincent's shoulder.
"Haven't you just try to imagine everything in the palm of your head, like a author playing in his own story, then you control the emotion, violence in drama inside your story just to make it interesting, is this how you live your life?"
Uno didn't answer.
"You know, we have our own story too, and I hope it would have a good ending."
Uno opened his eyes and looked at him.
"Me too. But the story isn't over yet. We still have a lot to do."
"True, but let's not worry about that now. Let's just enjoy this moment. Because who knows what will happen tomorrow."
Uno nodded.
"I guess you're right. Tomorrow is another day."
They were both silent for a while, enjoying each other's company and the feeling of closeness. Finally, Uno spoke.
"Vincent, you know I love you, right?"
Vincent was silent for a while, not knowing what to say.
"I'm sorry," Uno said. "I shouldn't have said that."
"It's okay," Vincent replied. "I love you too."
They sat there for a long time, enjoying each other's company.
"Yet for some reason this love can't be sexual right?"
"That is right, because this is purely a parental bond."
Vincent chuckled.
"You know, we're going to have to get up eventually."
"I know, but not right now. Right now, I just want to sit here and enjoy this moment."
"Me too."
They sat there for a long time, enjoying each other's company and the feeling of closeness. Eventually, they got up and started getting ready for bed.
"I think we should go to sleep," Vincent said.
"By the way how old are you anyway?"
"I'm 25."
"Wow, I'm about the same age."
Vincent laughed.
"I can't believe we've been through so much together already."
"Me neither. I feel like we've known each other forever."
"I feel the same way."
Vincent climbed into bed and turned off the light.
"Goodnight," he said.
"Goodnight," Uno replied.
They lay there in the dark, enjoying each other's company and the feeling of closeness.
"On a curious note, how far have you ever pushed your own creative with your own imagination, Uno? Something about what's beyond the universe, or what everyone world view and experience compress on one person combines can become?"
Uno didn't reply.
Vincent continued: "Do you think that if everyone who are alive in the world can combine their own thought and experience, maybe a god is born, or the devil itself. Maybe even an angel?"
"I don't know," Uno said. "That's a pretty heavy question."
"Sorry, it's just that I'm thinking a lot lately. About everything."
"Me too," Uno replied. "Sometimes, I feel like I'm going crazy."
"How so? Because you can make everything going your way? Without even trying?"
"No, because it feels like I'm the one controlling everything. Like, I can do whatever I want, whenever I want. It's like the whole world is mine, and I'm the only one who matters. And sometimes, I just can't help but wonder... What if none of this is real?"
"What do you mean?"
"What if everything is just a dream? What if none of this is real, and I'm just dreaming?"
"You mean like an illusion? Or a simulation?"
"Yeah. Something like that."
"I don't think it's possible. You're too real for that."
"How do you know? Maybe I'm just a character in some movie. Maybe this is all just a movie, and the world is just a projection. Or maybe this is just a simulation, and the real world is somewhere else. Somewhere that none of us will ever be able to access."
"But you're here, now. You change the context of the world itself, make it whatever you want to be, so why limited in a dream for matrix, when you can make it so much more complex than that."
"Because sometimes, the simple things are better. Like this. Just lying here, with you. This is real. This is what's important."
Vincent smiled.
"I agree. This is perfect."
They lay there, enjoying each other's company and the feeling of closeness. Eventually, they fell asleep, dreaming of a better world.
"I hope that's the case, yet the real issue is, do you think you can ever forgive yourself, because from your own story, you did terrible thing, even though you have a justification and reason behind it."
"I don't know," Uno whispered. "I don't think I can."
"I hope you will, I know the feeling of guilt and self-loathing, so I can relate with your feeling. But you should know, it's not your fault, no matter how hard you think it is."
"Maybe. But sometimes, I just can't help but wonder... What if none of this is real? What if it's all just a dream, and I'm the only one who knows it?"
"Aren't you giving in the notion that's your thoughts will pick up and become reality? Then why are you self doubting?"
"I don't know, It's just... I don't think I can live with myself if I knew I was responsible for all of this."
"You're not. It's not your fault. You're just a person, like everyone else. You're not some god or monster, or anything like that. You're just a person, and that's okay."
"I know, but..."
"Look, if you want to make things right, then do it. If you want to fix what's broken, then fix it. But don't do it out of guilt or self-loathing. Do it because you care, because you're a good person, and you want to help people. That's the only way it'll ever work."
Uno was quiet for a while, thinking about what Vincent had said.
"Okay," he said finally. "I'll try."
"That's all I can ask for."
Vincent smiled and wrapped his arms around Uno.
"Thanks, Vincent."
"On another note, what type of violence and atrocity is the maximum thing you can conjure up in your brain?"
"That's a heavy question, and the worst part is, I don't know the answer."
"It's because there are many factors involved, from the emotional and social perspective, even the mental health, because the way people think is always changing, and with that, so are their thoughts. So what is the most extreme thing that can exist in a human being's head is limitless. But it's still a matter of perception and belief, the way people see it."
"It's funny, the more we know, the more we realize how little we actually understand."
"Exactly."
"What kinda of relationship are we in right now, or to better phrase it, what is it you want us to be?" Uno ask.
"A mentor, an elder sibling, a father, an older brother, or maybe even a lover, yet there are too many factor and condition that would made us feel awkward about, which is why the relationship is more of a platonic."
"That's fair. I suppose it's just something I need to accept. You have your own life, and I have mine. It's not my place to get involved."
"You are always welcomed in my life, and you can come visit me whenever you want, yet it's not that easy, and there is no way I can bring myself to love you more than a family member, because we are from a different generation and background, even if we look the same age."
"Or maybe... You you are afraid that you've been treating me like a pet without even acknowledging it. Or some romen boy lover type relationship you read online?" Vincent reply with a smug face.
"Shut up! You're making things worse!"
Vincent burst out laughing.
"It's not funny," Uno pouted.
"I'm sorry," Vincent said, stifling a chuckle. "It's just... You're so cute when you're mad."
"I'm not mad," Uno said.
"Whatever you say," Vincent said.
They were silent for a while, enjoying each other's company.
"On another topic, you still haven't answer my question earlier. How far can you push the limit of your own imagination, and if the limit is the universe itself, or beyond that, then what is it exactly that's stopping you?"
"That's a very big question. It's not something I can easily answer."
"Try. You never know unless you do."
"Well, first of all, it's not like I have the power to do anything I want. I can't make things happen just by wishing for them."
"Yes, but if there is an infinite possibility, and no limit, then there is no point in stoping yourself. So tell me, what's holding you back?"
"I don't know. It's not like I'm trying to hold myself back or anything. It's just... I guess it's because I don't really understand what I'm capable of. Or maybe it's because I don't know how to use my abilities."
"Or perhaps you just don't want to acknowledge that you can change the world, because if you do, then you'll be held accountable for your action, and you can't escape the consequence, is that the real reason why?"
"No, it's not that. I just don't want to mess up like many others."
"You won't. You are doing a fine job already, and the world is getting better. Don't be afraid to go all out, just let yourself free, and enjoy the ride."
"But what if I can't handle it? What if I'm not ready?"
"Then I will be there for you. We'll face whatever comes together. You won't be alone. You have me, and Temmy, and all of our friends. We'll be here to help you, no matter what."
Uno was silent.
"And besides," Vincent added, "you've been holding back for too long already. Don't you think it's time to let loose and go wild?"
"I guess so. Thanks, Vincent."
"No problem. Now, why don't we start with something simple, like changing the color of this room."
Uno nodded, and closed his eyes. He focused on the image of the room in his mind. He imagined the walls, the floor, the ceiling, everything. He imagined it all, in perfect detail.
Suddenly, the room began to change. The walls shifted from their normal white color to a bright red. The floor and ceiling followed suit, turning from white to orange.
"Woah!" Vincent exclaimed. "That's awesome!"
"Yeah, it is," Uno agreed.
"So, what do you want to do next?" Vincent asked.
Uno smiled.
"I can think of a few things..."
He focused on the image of the room again. The walls, floor, and ceiling shifted from their previous colors to a deep purple. The lights dimmed, and a soft, sensual jazz tune began playing from nowhere.
"Wow, that's a great choice," Vincent said, his voice low and husky.
"I'm glad you like it," Uno said, his own voice taking on a seductive tone.
"Now, let's see if we can't have a little bit of fun..."
He focused on the image of the room once more, and the walls, floor, and ceiling shifted to a deep blue. The lights dimmed even further, and the music shifted to a slow, romantic melody.
"Oh, this is nice," Vincent purred, his voice full of desire.
"I'm glad you think so," Uno said, his own voice heavy with longing.
The two men gazed at each other, their eyes full of passion. They drew closer together, and their lips met in a slow, tender kiss. Their hands explored each other's bodies, and the music continued to play in the background.
"You're incredible," Vincent breathed.
"Not as incredible as you," Uno replied, his voice filled with admiration.
"I'm nothing compared to you," Vincent said, his voice full of reverence.
"No, you're everything," Uno said, his voice full of awe.
The two men continued to kiss, their bodies pressed close together, their hearts beating in unison.
"On another note, what is the most extreme thing you can imagine happening between us? And please, don't be shy."
"I don't know," Uno said, his face turning red. "I mean, we're both guys..."
"Yeah, but it's not like we're going to be doing anything...you know...sexual," Vincent said, his own face reddening.
"True," Uno said, "but still, it's kind of awkward..."
"Hey you're the one who lovebomb me, on a occasional basis, you really backing out now? Besides with all your imagination you can make it as if it never happen right?"
Uno laughed.
"I guess so. But yeah, it's kind of weird thinking about it."
"I know," Vincent said, "but that's why it's so exciting! The unknown, the possibilities, the thrill of it all..."
Uno looked at him, his expression a mix of amusement and surprise.
"You're a lot kinkier than I thought, Vincent," he said.
"Is that a bad thing? I got it off from you, and what's that on your mind... Furry sex stuff? Tre...? You want some sort of makeshift family or something?" Vincent asked, his voice teasing.
Uno's face turned bright red.
"What? No! I mean...maybe...I don't know. It's complicated."
"Oh, c'mon, admit it, you're totally into that kind of stuff," Vincent said, his voice still teasing.
"Alright, fine," Uno said, defeated, "yes, I am. But only a little bit."
Vincent smiled, a mischievous grin spreading across his face.
"Well, then, how about we explore some of those fantasies together?"
Uno's face reddened even more, and he buried his face in his hands.
"This is so embarrassing," he mumbled.
"Hey, don't worry about it," Vincent said, putting a hand on Uno's shoulder, "we're both guys here, and we can both agree that we're into some kinky shit."
Uno chuckled.
"Yeah, I guess you're right," he said, lifting his head and looking at Vincent.
"So, what do you say ?"
Uno hesitated, unsure of what to say.
"Hey, if it makes you feel any better, I'll go first," Vincent offered.
Uno nodded, his face still red.
"Okay," Vincent said, "here goes... I, Vincent, am a furry."
"Wow, you really are kinky," Uno teased.
Vincent laughed.
"Alright, your turn," he said.
Uno took a deep breath and composed himself.
"I, Uno, am a furry," he said, his voice shaking slightly.
"See, that wasn't so hard, was it?" Vincent said, smiling.
Uno smiled back.
"No, it wasn't. And it feels good to finally admit it," he said.
"Yeah, I know what you mean," Vincent said, "now, let's get down to business."
"Business?" Uno asked, confused.
"Yeah," Vincent said, "how about we get those tails and ears out and have a little fun?"
Uno's face turned bright red again, but he nodded.
"Okay," he said, his voice barely a whisper.
"Perfect," Vincent said, grinning.
He closed his eyes and focused, his body starting to glow.
"Wow, that's amazing," Uno said, awestruck.
Vincent's body changed, and in a matter of seconds, he had transformed with grey fur with large goat's ears.
"Wow," Uno breathed.
"I know," Vincent said, his voice deep and husky. "Now, let's see what you can do."
Uno closed his eyes and concentrated, his body glowing as well.
"Wow, this is so cool," he said, as he transformed into a cat-like being with black fur.
"Yeah, it is," Vincent said, admiring Uno's new form.
"So, now what?" Uno asked.
"Well, now that we've both shown off our furry side, how about we have some fun?" Vincent said, his voice low and seductive.
Uno blushed and nodded, his ears twitching in excitement.
"Okay," he said, his voice barely a whisper.
Vincent approached Uno and embraced him, their furry bodies rubbing against each other.
"Oh, Uno," Vincent breathed, his voice husky with desire.
"Yes, Vincent," Uno whispered, his voice shaking with anticipation.
"I can't wait to have you," Vincent said, his voice low and dangerous.
"I can't wait either," Uno said, his voice trembling with desire.
"Don't worry," Vincent said, "we'll take our time."
Uno moaned in response, and the two men continued their exploration of each other's bodies.
"So, how are you feeling, Vincent?" Uno ask, his voice husky with desire.
Vincent moaned, his tail twitching.
"I feel great," he said, his voice shaking with desire.
"That's good," Uno said, his voice low and sensual, "because I want to make you feel even better."
Vincent moaned again, his tail wagging.
"Oh, Uno," he breathed, "I want you so bad."
"And I want you, too," Uno said, his voice heavy with desire.
"Then take me," Vincent said, his voice barely a whisper.
Uno smiled, and his eyes glinted with mischief.
"Gladly," he said, and he pounced on Vincent, their furry bodies colliding in a frenzy of desire.
"Wow," Uno breathed, his eyes wide with lust.
"I know," Vincent said, his eyes half-lidded with desire.
"Do you think it's time?" Uno asked, his voice trembling with desire.
Vincent smiled, and nodded.
"I think so," he said, his voice heavy with lust.
"Okay," Uno said, his voice barely a whisper.
Vincent's ears perked up, and he grinned.
"Then let's do it," he said, his voice thick with desire.
Uno nodded, and the two men prepared for their next step.
"Are you sure you're ready for this?" Vincent ask.
"Yes," Uno replied, his voice heavy with desire.
"Good," Vincent said, his eyes dark with lust, "because I can't wait any longer."
Vincent's eyes narrowed, and his lips curled into a smile.
"Then come and get me," he growled, his voice low and dangerous.
Uno grinned, and his eyes glinted with mischief.
"Oh, I intend to," he said, his voice husky with desire.
The two men's tails wagged, and they pounced on each other, their furry bodies entwining as they engaged in a frenzied dance of passion.
"Wow," Uno breathed, his eyes wide with lust.
"I know," Vincent said, his voice heavy with desire.
"We should definitely do this more often," Uno said, his eyes sparkling.
Vincent grinned.
"I couldn't agree more," he said, his voice thick with lust.
Uno and Vincent collapsed on the bed, their furry bodies tangled together, their breathing heavy.
"Wow," Uno breathed, his eyes wide with awe.
"I know," Vincent said, his voice shaking with emotion.
"That was incredible," Uno said, his voice filled with wonder.
"Yeah," Vincent said, his eyes glistening with tears.
"I love you, Vincent," Uno said, his voice thick with emotion.
"I love you, too, Uno," Vincent said, his voice cracking.
The two men held each other, their bodies pressed together, their furry tails intertwined.
"On another note, have you ever thought about becoming a father? Because I think you will make a good one, and you will be able to handle the pressure, unlike some people..."
Uno's face turned red, and he buried his face in his hands.
"Hey, don't worry about it," Vincent said, putting a hand on Uno's shoulder. "We're both guys here, and we can both agree that we're into some kinky shit."
Uno chuckled.
"Yeah, I guess you're right," he said, lifting his head and looking at Vincent.
"I have to be honest this kind of stuff start of as a particular characters' interest, and not furry in general..." Uno admit.
"Well, it doesn't matter," Vincent said, "we're both here now, and we can either enjoy this time together or spend it worrying about things that don't matter."
"You're right," Uno said, smiling.
"And besides," Vincent said, his voice taking on a mischievous tone, "I bet you'd be a great dad."
Uno's face turned even redder, and he buried his face in his hands again.
"And a interesting emotion expression outletist?" Vincent tease.
"Hey, don't push it," Uno said, his voice muffled.
Vincent chuckled.
"I'm just saying," he said, "you'd be great at it."
"Yeah, well, let's not get ahead of ourselves," Uno said, his ears flattening.
"Whatever you say," Vincent said, grinning.
"So, are you ready for round two?"
Uno lifted his head and smiled.
"Hell yeah," he said, his eyes glinting with mischief.
"That's what I like to hear," Vincent said, his voice deep and husky.
Uno and Vincent began exploring each other's bodies once more, their furry tails wagging in unison.
"By the way, do you have any particular fantasy? Maybe something related to what I just show you or maybe something else."
"I don't know," Uno admitted.
"What's the most extreme thing you can imagine happening between us? And please, don't be shy." Vincent remarks.
"Turn you into a woman and marry you and have a beautiful family...?" Uno speak out with a blush on his face.
"That's an interesting choice," Vincent replied, "and quite extreme."
"I'm sorry," Uno said, his ears drooping.
"Don't apologize," Vincent said, his voice gentle, "I think it's a very creative and romantic idea."
"Really?" Uno asked, his ears perking up.
"Absolutely," Vincent said, smiling.
"Do you think it could actually happen?" Uno asked, his voice tremulous.
"Anything is possible," Vincent said, his voice solemn, "but it might be a bit difficult to pull off."
"I know," Uno said, his eyes downcast, "but I just want you to know that I'm serious about this. I really do want to have a family with you."
"I know you do," Vincent said, his voice soft, "and I want that, too."
"You do?" Uno asked, his eyes shining.
"Of course," Vincent said, smiling, "we're meant to be together."
Uno smiled and wrapped his arms around Vincent.
"How about we do all of that in a abstractical imaginary space, and we keep it between ourselves for some reality banding writing shenanigans?" Uno propose.
"With all this power, you really still just use it to avoid your desire and consequences?" Vincent remark.
"Hey, don't be like that," Uno said, his eyes widening. "I'm trying to think of a way to make everyone happy."
"Everyone but yourself," Vincent said, his voice somber.
"You're one to talk," Uno said, his eyebrows narrowing. " While You've been avoiding your feelings for Temmy for the time being."
"That's different," Vincent said, "even though you orchestrated the event with your 'feelings', we are still working things out with our independent free will. While you just keep pounding up yourself with excuses to face the your own insecurities."
"That's not fair," Uno said, his ears flattening. "I'm doing the best I can."
"I know you are," Vincent said, his voice softening, "but you need to let go of this fantasy and accept reality. It's the only way you'll ever be happy."
"I can't," Uno said, his eyes welling with tears, "I can't face the truth. I can't face what I've done. I'm not strong enough."
"And I both know it's not the matter of strength, it's a matter of acceptance of ehat you truly want, there is no shame in that. You don't have to make up all of this scenario just for you too avoid your own emotion, because no matter what you think of me and yourself, I still accept you however you like me to, whatever you are becoming. Is never the matter of crimes without victims, it is how you accept your own desires and embrace it with you utmost belief. There no need for you to fabricate any events to bypass situation, it only stunts your own growth, I know you know that, because there's no reason for you to engage in this moment at all if you doesn't want to resolve it."
"Then why do you keep pushing me? Why can't you just leave me alone?" Uno asked, his voice breaking.
"Because I care about you," Vincent said, his eyes shining, "and I want you to be happy."
"But I can't be happy," Uno said, his tears streaming down his face, "not when I've done the things I've done."
"And you think I am any different?" Vincent spoke out, his voice heavy with emotion.
"Before I enter this world, with or without your influence, I did many things to survive, sometime taking blood from others, stealing, killing, and much more. But that's the nature of this world, you must take from others in order to survive, and it's not just the physical things, it's also the emotional and mental things. I have to make hard decision sometimes, and not everyone can accept the reality of this world, that's why they create their own world, their own fantasies, because they can't handle the truth. And I can understand that, because I did the same thing, I created a world of my own, a world where I could be happy. But I soon realized that no matter how hard I tried, I could never be happy in a fantasy world, because reality will always come crashing back down. That's why I have to accept the truth, and the consequences of my actions. If I don't, then I'll be trapped in a endless cycle of guilt and regret. So please, don't push me away, because I'm the only one who understands you."
"I-I don't know," Uno stammered, his voice quavering, "I'm just so scared.
"It's fine, let start step-by-step again, now what do you think off the connection we have? Answer it with your most genuine feeling."
"You're right, it is complicated. We both have our own lives, our own goals and aspirations. But at the same time, we're also a part of each other. It's like we're two sides of the same coin, and no matter how hard we try, we can't escape each other. It's like we're destined to be together, but not in a romantic way. In a sense, we complete each other. We're each other's missing piece."
"Do you think it's worth pursuing? I mean, if you have the opportunity to start over and forget about everything that happened, would you take it?"
"Honestly, I don't know. On one hand, I'd like to forget about all the bad stuff that's happened. But on the other hand, if I did forget, then I'd also forget all the good things that happened. I'd lose the memories I made with my friends, and that's not something I'm willing to give up."
"I understand that, but what about the negative effects of it?"
"What do you mean?"
"What about the pain? The hurt? The guilt? Do you think you can handle it?"
"I-I'm not sure. I know I've caused a lot of pain to others, and I've felt a lot of pain myself. But I've also experienced a lot of happiness. And I think that's the most important thing. I've had so many wonderful memories, and they far outweigh the bad ones. So I think, in the end, it's all worth it. Even if it means facing the pain again, I'll do it. Because I know that, as long as I have the support of my friends, I'll be okay."
"That's a noble sentiment, and I can respect that, but can you really do it?"
"Yes, I can."
"Why?"
"Because I have you. You're my anchor. You're the one thing that keeps me grounded. When I'm feeling lost or afraid, you're the one person who can bring me back. You're the one person who understands me, who accepts me for who I am. And that's all I need."
"Then it's settled, if you can truly handle the pain, the suffering, the guilt, the regret, then we can stay together, as long as you wish, or until death do us apart. Now, will you truly accept the reality, the truth, and embrace it, even if it's not pleasant or desirable, and not fabricate the fantasy in order to avoid it?"
"Yes, I will."
"Good, then let's start with something simple, like a hug."
"Okay."
"Come on, Uno. It's not that hard. Just put your arms around me."
"Thanks For being there for me. For believing in me. For accepting me."
"Of course. You're my best friend. You're the most important person in my life."
"And you're the most important person in mine. Without you, I'd be lost."
"Don't worry, I'll never leave you. We'll always be together."
"Promise?"
"Promise."
"Thank you."
"For what?"
"For everything."
"You're welcome. Now, come on. Let's get some rest. We've got a big day ahead of us."
"Okay."
"Good night, Uno."
"Good night, Vincent."
"Sweet dreams."
