I held my breath as I entered the dinning hall, all eyes on me as I nervously took my seat next to Jackson, I so badly wanted Joy next to me, I would make sure she was with me in the morning when we leave.  "So..Reyna! When were you going to tell us that your wolf had attempted to greet you? Why are you trying to delay her? The sooner you marry Jackson the sooner you become Queen. I understand that you must be nervous but you have been trained your entire life to become Queen, I chose you specifically for that reason." "I'm not ready." Was all I mumbled back. I hadn't forgotten what Jackson said, this was the Queens idea..Did they think it would make me want to marry him more or something? "Well get ready! "My Queen! Please give me just a little longer."  Jackson glared at me. "We can dispense with the formality's mother knows that you refused me today, we know that you don't want to marry me and we do not care, mother has put a lot of effort into training you, so you better get used to the idea of being my bride."

I stood up quickly. "Well if this is how this conversation is going to go I will be heading to bed early tonight, I don't want to talk to him when he's like this..Do you know what he did to me today? Of course you doo..You should be ashamed of yourselves, I am not an OBJECT!" The Queen snarled at me forcing me to sit back down. "Don't you remember what happened the last time you showed your true colours Reyna..Being an adult does not stop you from meeting the lash. Do I have to have you whipped into submission again child? I thought we were past that?" 

Tears threatened to fall but I kept them under control. as I stared at the wall behind her, I didn't say another word during the meal, I blocked out what they were saying to me so I couldn't tell you what they said, the moment food was gone from plates I stood up and left for my bedroom. 

"Wait Reyna." Jackson yelled. "Seeing as we are celebrating our engagement why don't you come spend the night in my bedroom. "No." Was all I muttered back, I didn't have the energy to swear at him. "Hmm you know I don't take no for an answer babe, come on don't be so frigid, I think I've waited long enough for you." "Fuck off."

That was it, he pulled me by my hair into his bedroom, what happened next I couldn't tell you, my wolf fronted for the entire thing and refused to let me see it, she completely locked me away. I awoke naked on his bedroom floor covered in blood. "J-Jack-Jackson..W-what did y-y -what did you do." My voice was strained barely a whimper as my heavy eyes burned trying to find him as I squirmed against the rough carpet. 

"Jackson!" I shrieked, unable to find my voice anymore. My heart hurt so much, as if it had been ripped to shreds and put back together again. Every part of me burned or ached. I tried to get up, but slipped on the blood, face planting the floor instead. I'm thankful for my wolf, they protected me from the trauma but I still felt the pain of the aftermath. 

"I'll never forgive you." My voice croaked, throat closing down as noise began to fill my ears. Death..Scream's and howls of agony, somebody was begin massacred somewhere within this room. Something warm pooled around me as I passed out once again.

"Reyna! I'm here! Baby I'm here, please wake up!" Soft arms wrapped around my torso, their voice called to me, pulling me out of sleep. "It's ok, I'm here." She was in tears, covered in my blood and someone elses. Eden held me as if I would break if she let go. 

"I'm so sorry baby, I never should have left you! I should have taken you out when I had the chance, I could have prevented this.. I'm so so sorry please forgive me." My limp body stiffened slightly as I began waking up. "Wah..What happened." My wolf felt the mate pull before I did but was to traumatised to do anything about it. 

"What happened Eden." I cried, begging for an answer. "Tell me!" I shrieked when she didn't answer. "He mated you..Marked you too but that's not going to effect anything now that he's dead." "What do you mean?" I asked, trying to take in the information presented to me as she held me in her arms. "I killed him..I had to, he hurt my mate. He was already pretty beaten up when I got to him." I gulped, was she saying what I thought she was saying? "Mate? Me?" She nodded, her lip wobbling as she tried to smile at me. "I'm sorry to break the news to you this way but I couldn't hide it any longer, your wolf knows." 

You'd think a girl would have no more tears to cry after the day I had had, but there they were once again, I'd never cried so much in my life. She was married already, my mate couldn't be mine, this was by far the worst day of my life, well it was on par with the day my parents were killed. "Goddess do you hate me? Eden there's no chance of you leaving him for me is there?" She bit her lip hard as she shook her head. "I can't..I'm six months pregnant..I would if I could you know that." 

Another knife wedged into my heart. "W-what do we do now?" I sobbed clinging onto her for as long as I could. "You will go with Kain, you will marry him and try to be happy, and when my husband dies I will come and be with you alright? I don't know how many decades that will be but one day...Maybe one day it will happen." 

It took all of my strengh to climb up on to her lap and kiss her as hard as I could, she reciprocated but it was filled with guilt on so many different levels. "I love you." She whimpered. "I fear I always have." I didn't want to hear it, not now I couldn't deal with anymore heart break. "What will happen to you? The Queen! She'll have you torn apart baby or not!" A light smirk played on her wobbling lips. "Dead..This was a revolt..I couldn't tell you, I needed you safe. Kain and I have been planning it for a long while, he is a good man a bit misguided but I know that he will take good care of you, I trust him more than most."

I took a deep breath before going to search for my clothing, my pale legs that were covered in blood wobbled as I searched for my dress, I found it a few seconds later torn apart by the door. I shuddered at the thought. "Here." Eden sighed putting a kaki coloured coat around my body. "You need to clean up quickly before Kain takes you back, a warning love, there are a lot of dead wolves scattered around this castle, some are quite young..We couldn't save everyone and we couldn't persuide everyone either..If you see someone you care about know that I am deeply sorry."

The second the door opened I had to slam my eyes shut, it was like stepping into a horror movie. I choked on my tears trying to walk, she picked me up and carried me. "Just tell me..Did Joy make it?" "Yes she is alive." "T-Tom?" She stopped walk and gulped which told me what I needed to know. "No..He tried to help his father and was killed in battle..I'm sorry if he was a friend. I don't know many more but I know Adam is safe too."

The smell of blood got stronger as we moved, it had been a massacre, I opened my eyes a few times and regretted it every single time. This wasn't the revenge I wanted, most of these wolves were innocent..A lot of them were just trying to help their parents. "Couldn't this have happened without so much blood shed. So many are innocent!" "I'm sorry but they made the choice to fight, they could have gone willingly. At least the real monsters are gone now."

We made it to my bedroom, I gathered as much clothing as I could but she forced me to leave everything that wasn't a necessity. I grabbed a few bits a pieces from my child hood and threw on a long white dress type t-shirt and some jogger bottoms not caring about how I looked, and an expensive pair of trainers. She pulled me out and rushed me into the yard, children cried and some women called out to me. "Princess!! Queen! Help us!" A look of Betrayal flashed in their eyes as I was placed within the enemies car.  "Where is the Queen!" One fierce young woman barked, she was Toms sister and a Beta. I was not sure why she was in the car with us. "She's dead.. Everyone you love that you didn't see with you in the yard is dead." 

Joy rushed into my arms basically sitting in my lap as soon as she got into the car. She didn't speak she could barely breathe with the amount of sobbing she was doing. The beta who's name I couldn't think of groaned, trying her best not to break down. "You betrayed us didn't you." She whispered, eyes burning into my skin. "I didn't..I didn't mean to.. This was not my plan, I just wanted to leave I didn't want every one to die..I only wanted freedom I'm so sorry."

"Toms dead." Joy whispered barely able to speak. That broke the beta who balled up into a ball against the backseat of the limo like car. Eden leaned into the car to kiss me suddenly. "I have to go now, Kain will keep you safe, the females that were captured are going to be divided between our two packs, I wanted you to know so you weren't out of the loop...They are prisoners of war...I'm sorry but my pack demanded it, it was not my plan I promise." She kissed me again but I pushed her away a look of betrayal in my sapphire hues. "IT WASN'T MEANT TO BE LIKE THIS! I JUST WANTED TO BE TAKEN AWAY! WHY DID YOU DO THIS!" "DON'T BOTHER!" "Reyna..I know you don't mean that. I know you are hurting I promise everything is going to get better now." I refused to answer her and eventually she left and got into her own car. Silence and tears filled the car until Kain dared to speak. "It looks like you will be marrying me after all Luna Reyna of the Blackwolf pack..That sounds so nice." I kicked the back of his seat in a rage but he just chuckled while we drove with vans of women driving behind us. Prisoners of war..It disgusted me.
