Women rushed into my room brushing my hair and forcing me into a long laced wedding dress, they made me beautiful as I squirmed and tried to pull away. "What a beautiful bride you make your highness!" I recognized one of the women, she stood to the side holding my shoes. "Yasmin! Is that you? Can you please help me!" Yasmin was a member of my pack, well a member of the royal pack anyway. My heart fell as she refused eye contact. "I'm sorry your highness. I cannot help you."
"Don't you want freedom? If you help me maybe..Maybe I can save everyone!" She shook her head retreating from me. "I have found my mate, most of us are happy we are being treated well! Please don't make this harder for yourself my Princess." The other women listened quietly, they would probably report what I said to Kain, his eyes and ears."
"Lets not talk like this my Luna, Alpha Kain is a kind man." Kind?? Were they blind? He was forcing me to marry him!! I mean...Most Alphas were like this, werewolf society was all kinds of fucked up! And even if he was kind often this made him a monster, was something wrong with us all to allow this kind of treatment? If I ever got the chance to start my own pack I would change all the rules! Yasmin was summoned forward to place the silver and diamond heels on my petite feet, she could not look at me, was I so pitiful? Pathetic that she couldn't look at the state I was in?
"Yasmin." I whispered. "Please." She refused to answer, rushing out of the room as soon as I was fully dressed. I growled at one of the women that began placing the veil on my head. "No! I won't go through with it." The women began pulling me towards the door, watching with pity as panic set in. "No! I don't want to go!" At the door a group of four guards stood, ready to take me down stairs. "Stay calm please." One of them said, trying to keep his voice void of emotion. "Stay calm?? HOW COULD I POSSIBLY BE CALM!"
He began to pull me as my melt down began. "I can't do this!" Air panted out of me in short bursts. They made it out of the house and towards the garden, white chairs with flowers embedded into them sat in straight rows an isle with rose petals flowing down the middle towards the arch. I couldn't do this! I was getting to close, I could feel his heavy glare on my skin as he stood at the end of the isle, wearing a tight fitting black suit and black tie, a few roses in his pocket. They had gone through so much effort and I was about to ruin it all.
A flowery song played out as two of the guards began walking me down the isle. "No!" I squeaked air getting caught in my throat. My feet refused to move, legs wobbling and loosing strength. "I can't!" Panic was replaced by a burning rage as I began to scream. "LET ME GO! I WONT GO THROUGH WITH IT!" I snarled at each guard, biting and snapping at them as they forced me forward. "You better get a hold of yourself princess, all you will accomplish is embarrassment."
The two men held my arms tight no amount of me shaking them off could deter them, if I wasn't so weak I could fight them off. "GET OFF!!" I barked, roaring with a sharp bite at the guard on the left. "You can't do this to me! I'm a Princess!!" That was when I spotted her, tears sparkling in her beautiful orbs, love and betrayal circled the pit of my stomach. "Eden! Eden help me! please!" She stood up from her chair but was quickly dragged back down by her husband, who held a look of disdain on his greying skin.
"How could you betray me like this! You were meant to be my mate! How could you sacrifice me to him! This is all your doing! You have RUINED me! RUINED MY LIFE! You were meant to love me! How could you sell me to this monster!" Gasps of shock and horror rang out through the crowd, Even her husband looked horrified, I had outed her to them all and although a part of me deeply regretted it, it was deserved. "Fuck you! Don't you ever come to find me again!"
My words had clouded my mind, so much that I didn't even realise we were at the end of the isle. "My Princess." Kain purred, taking a hold of my hand and kissing it. "I told you, making a scene would only hurt your reputation." Tears bubbled beneath the surface a complete overload of emotions. I cried so hard throughout the ceremony that I had no ability to speak. "Do you Alpha Kain Black of the Blackwolf pack take Her royal highness Princess Reyna Avangeline Clover as your mate and Luna forever and always.
"I do..And you know that there is no point in asking her, I shall answer for her, she does." The priest nodded sending a flash of pity my way as my makeup began to run in streaks down my porcelain skin. "Then you may kiss the bride." He kept my head still kissing me with full force, his hands holding me tightly against him. Some wolves cheered but it was false and emotionless. My legs gave in from the dizziness his kiss induced, I was tired so tired, more tired than I had ever been.
I didn't expect him to mark me, I thought he would wait until night time but to my shock and horror his fangs pierced the skin on my neck causing me to scream like a harpy as fire engulfed my skin. "FUCK YOU!" I screamed as he held me against his face, allowing his fangs to stay fully planted in my neck until he was sure I had been claimed. The sound of sobbing entered my ears, I opened my eyes for a split second to see Eden pouring her heart out into her husbands shoulder, this hurt her, of course it did her mate had been claimed, it was like being cut open and having a part of your soul ripped out.
By the end of it my legs refused to move, I was so dreadfully tired and had begun feeling very sick and queasy. "I need to lie down." In seconds I had fainted against him. I woke up in bed, all of my fancy wedding clothing off and a white nighty on instead, an elderly woman sat on the bed next to me testing my pulse. "Good morning Luna, I hope you are feeling better now." I did feel better, tired still but not like before. The more my body woke up the more I noticed.
Kain was pacing around the room and Joy was a sleep on a chair nearby. "Tell her. I can't." Kain groaned as he finally looked at me. "Tell me what?" The elderly woman's face melted, a softness to her that made me feel safe. "Well my dear, you are pregnant." The world stood still for that moment, my heart completely stopping. "What did you do to me!" I finally yelled. "Nothing!! The baby is Jacksons!" More heart break, so I would never escape him then, even in his dying moments he had left me with a part of him scarred on to my body for life.
"No! Please goddess! Do you hate me?" "The baby can stay in my pack but I will never claim it as my own! If it dares to try to take my place as Alpha I'll kill it! I will have no threat to my pack! The pups that we will have will be our heirs! You are lucky I don't have that thing killed! Unfortunately I cannot risk your health." My hands shook, all the blood leaving my head causing me to dizzy again. "I don't feel good." My wolf used the last of her energy to snarl at him, I couldn't love the curse growing inside me but that didn't mean I would allow anyone to be cruel to it, it was truly the last of the royal family's century's old blood line, that meant something...This child was a threat to Kain and I would make sure it got its title back, this monster wont be king for long.
