I didn't go back into my room, I couldn't be near that bastard! I had spent the last two hours walking around the castle trying to figure out what to do and waiting for Kain. Finally my eyes fell on the Alpha as he walked through the hall towards me. I waved at him, begging with my eyes for him to hurry.
He held a look of worry and intrigue but followed me. I took him out into the garden making sure no one was there before I opened my mouth. "This better be good news Kain, now more than ever I need to get out..He..Jackson tried to..He threw himself on me, Adam saved me but is now a fugitive, I sent him to your pack. I didn't know what else to do."
Kain stopped me by grabbing the sides of my shoulders. "Calm down, it's alright. My pack agreed for you to come to live with us..." "Thank god bec-" "But..There is a clause." I paused, going completely still. "What is it.." I whispered eyes staring up into his as I waited for his demand. He couldn't hold my stare as he uttered the next few words. "But..You have to mate to me." My blood boiled, so he wanted me to go from one forced marriage into another one? What was he thinking.
"Why are you doing this to me." I stepped out of his grip shaking my head with disappointment. "I'm sorry I need a Luna, It's not about anything sexual, I don't need you to love me I don't even need you to be close to me, all I need is an heir really. If you can give me a son you don't ever have to touch me again! This is my clause, please think about it, it wont be like this, you can sleep with anyone you want, I just need an heir and a Luna it's just for show really."
"And if I say no?" He sighed throwing his hands up. "Then I can't help you." My hand slashed against his face, my teeth clenched. "Go fuck yourself! Your a piece of shit you know! I can't believe I ever thought I could trust you. You just want to trap me, you don't like that a female could be an Alpha. PIG!" His shame filled gaze turned black anger seeping out of his pours. "Just think about it." He growled through clenched teeth. "What other choice do you have? It's not like I'm doing this just to fuck you..I'm putting my pack in danger for you!!"
He grabbed my shoulder but I shook him off and stormed off. MEN! Dinner was starting soon, I had to check on Jackson..What if he died and was found dead in my bed! My heart shuddered as I walked past my bedroom. Medics pulled him out of my room. I went completely white the moment Jackson turned his head to glare at me. "Where is he Princess?" His words were sickly sweet but underneath he was plotting my punishment.
"Gone, far away from here, you'll never get your hands on him. And if you think you can try what you tried in there again you better be kidding. Wait until I tell your mother." He smirked, golden eyes glimmering with lust. "She gave me the idea. It's time your wolf came to greet you, this is the best tried and true way to force her out. Don't think I didn't notice her whimpering from my touch. You and I will be having a chat tonight."
My breath got caught in my throat he sensed her? That was it then..I was truly screwed. I ran down the flight of stairs trying to find Kain but he was gone. My last chance was gone, now all was left was to avoid Jackson with everything I had, but he knew this castle in and out, he'd find me sooner or later. I bumped into Eden tears beginning to form. "Help me." I whispered and that was all she needed to push me into her bed room.
"What's going on!" She hissed as I fell into a puddle of my own tears. "It's Jackson! He tried to..He hurt me! He was stopped this time but I know he's noticed that my wolf is trying to greet me there is nothing to stop him from going all the way! I need to get out of here! I need to leave I can't marry him!" She growled menacingly, green eyes wild with rage. My wolf was becoming over excited by something but I couldn't figure out what.
"Your wolf is trying to greet you?" She asked, attempting to calm herself. However she seemed fearful at the idea of it. "Are you sure?" Doubt clouded her beautiful eyes. "I shifted for the first time last week..But I'm not yet in control, I haven't allowed her to meet me, I can't, not until I'm free and able to find my mate." She looked as if she was about to say something but stopped herself.
"If you can keep yourself safe for tonight I can get you out of here tomorrow. I promise things are going to change, my husband..Well I'll find a way for him to let you into the pack. Wait wasn't Kain going to help you?" I stared at her confused. "How do you know that? Did he tell you?" She winced realising that she had made a mistake. "Uhh we talk, don't worry about it we will get everything sorted! Did you not except Kains proposal?"
My mouth dropped open. "No..Was that your idea?" My heart broke at the idea that she would try to palm me off on Kain. "N-No." I had a feeling she was lying but now was not the time to worry about it. "Look go to dinner try to act normal and then find somewhere to hide until tomorrow, I will get you out of here by tonight. Just..Just be careful, you better go for dinner if they notice anything is wrong you might never escape."
"But Eden, he's going to tell the Queen! They wont let me hide, I'm a flight risk! Now that my wolf has arrived they will do anything they can to force me to marry the prince." She pet my head eyeing me with pity. "You just need to go along with it, well don't go along with it but pretend that everything is normal and not like you are about to escape, they will have no reason to keep you under lock and key if you act normal! Look if anything just stay in your bedroom until morning I will get you out!"
"But-" "No buts, go get dressed for supper I'll be there. Just trust me I wont let anything bad happen, trust me Reyna..Do you trust me?" I slowly nodded feeling a flash of desire, something that shocked me deeply. I rushed into my bedroom throwing on a modest black dress and a light amount of makeup but thick eyeliner. This could go so wrong but I believed Eden when she said she'd help me.
