I watch Bergamot sleep, sitting at the foot of the bed. He still has a fever, but it's not as bad.
"Hey, Nightshade," I find myself looking into Bergamot's dull, yellow eyes. He gives me a tired smile, sitting up. "How long have I been asleep?" He asks as I scoot closer to him. I grin, leaning close to him.248Please respect copyright.PENANA8Ls6w1nrpO
"You've been asleep for like, 8 days," I murmur, my face close to his. "Cardamon was worried about you, we all were." He smiles and leans into me. The heat coming off his body was palpable but pleasant. 248Please respect copyright.PENANAUBgsxzmG7K
"Nothing important happened while I was sleeping, right?" Bergamot asks, his mouth inches from mine own. I shake my head, kissing him. He tenses and kisses me back. I wrap my arms around his waist, my hands going under his shirt. My fingers brush against scales, and I pause. Bergamot gives me a puzzled look.
"What's wrong?" He asks his mouth still against mine. I shake my head.
"Nothing, nothing's wrong," I reply, kissing him again, running my hands over the scales on Bergamot's back. "I'll make sure to inform Cardamon about the scales." I think as Bergamot breaks away from the kiss, his pale cheeks a deep red. I grin, watching as Bergamot brushes his long bangs from his face. "You're just really cute." Bergamot's face turns a deeper shade of red, and he looks away from me. I smirk, taking his face in my hands.
"Wow, your face is really red," I observe. "Even your ears." I smile.
