We sit in silence as the carriage makes its way to the Elven Kingdom. I glance at Bergamot, his expression unreadable as the carriage creaks. 305Please respect copyright.PENANARY0XwBKYgz
"I guess when we enter, we'll be seeing less of each other," I say to Bergamot, looking closely at him. A strange look passed over his face, vanishing as quickly as it appeared.
"No. I won't let that happen," I watch as he reaches over and grabs my hand. I lean into him, our fingers intertwining. Vetiver pokes his head into the room, his face grim.305Please respect copyright.PENANAR176xdNPlq
"Come on, Your Highness," Vetiver says, and I notice Bergamot scowl. "The council wants to get a look at you," Bergamot nods, letting go of my hand, and leaving the carriage with Vetiver. I leave the carriage as well, sticking close to Vetiver, watching as a group of elderly Elves herded Bergamot away from the growing crowds that were gathering nearby.

The group of old elves eventually lead me to a room, hidden from the eye of the public.
"What is this place?" I whisper, and one of the elves, an elderly woman, named Galangal, gave me a solemn look, her long white hair bouncing.
"The Testing Chamber," She said ominously, leading me towards a creepy-looking chair, with straps where a person's arms would be. The group of elders led me to the chair, and I sat in it. Galangal strapped my arms, and I sat in wait, as another of the council, a very old man named Hyssop left the room, returning with a large, fearsome needle.
"What's that for?" I asked, sounding calm, despite my trembling. Hyssop cleaned the needle calmly.
"I'm going to draw your blood, and test it against the samples we have of the royal family," He replied, and I felt myself tense, preparing for the prick of the needle. To my surprise, the needle went into my arm quickly, and without pain. I watch my blood, a pale, shimmering green, as Hyssop withdrew the needle from my arm, holding it up to the light. Galangal gave a gasp, stepping away me, and bowing deeply.
