Vandel whips around to face my shocking statement, I don’t really blame but….
Talon: “Yep, I could tell Carlos was lying.”
Vandel: “….You don’t seem bothered by her death.”
Talon: “We don’t have time to grieve. Anyway, I need to collect her soul, stay here around this general area.”
Vandel: “Wait a minute!”
Talon: “Yeah….”
Vandel: “Are you really on our side? Why did it take so long for you and Moryuu to come help us? How many times did I-”
Talon: “One question at a time man. You don’t have to worry, I’m on your side.”
Talon: “We didn’t come earlier because it was hard for me to open a portal into this hell, it took….a long time.
Talon: “….It doesn’t matter, as long as this is the last time.”
Vandel: “….”
Talon: “Gather your strength, we still need to be the heroes Nu needs. I won’t be long.”
I turn my back to the shaken Vandel and open a portal to the starting warehouses. I step through and thank the big guy upstairs that we were close by anyway. I wouldn’t want to teleport all over the place.
Talon: “I must really be lucky, there're no monsters here.”
I still carefully watch my step on the cold metal floor covered with rust. I stalk through the crimson lit corridors of the warehouse until I see, Senshi’s soul. A faint glowing outline of a person lies on the ground.
Weird, usually they’re all blue but there’s some orange color mixed in.
Talon: “Whatever, let’s get it done.”
ROOAARR!!
Talon: “What the heck?”
I ducked behind a corner and saw a creature two heads taller than me and I’m pretty tall. It was something like a werewolf but far more hideous and all black, as if it came from the shadows. Just looking at it is giving me a headache.
The creatures stalked the room where Senshi was in, what is it doing?
???: *Sniff* *Sniff* *Sniff*
The creature is getting closer to Senshi! I don’t know what it’s doing but I’m not taking a chance. I’ll just open a portal under its feet and send it outside.
???: “!!!”
What the hell, how did it dodge. Now it’s looking my way, I’m dying to this thing.
I turn around and go to open a portal, but the creature appears right in front of me. It uses its claws to swipe at me which pushes me back into Senshi’s room.
Talon: “GAH!”
I’m bleeding, on the floor and no help is coming. I raise my hands to teleport away but the creature catches my hand and threatens to crush it.
Is this how I die, after all that work….I can’t take my eyes off the creatures who’s raising their raven claws to end me. Will I spend the rest of eternity here? Will the God awaken because of me!?

That’s 3 pillars and I don’t think I have the strength to keep going without transforming. But, I don’t think that’ll be a problem anymore.

I get off the dead building-sized spider and face Gideon.

Moryuu: “Yeah, that sun does seem like it’s setting.”

After our exchange of words, there’s only thing left to do. It all came down to who made the first move.
For what seemed like infinity within a moment, we just stood there glaring each other.
But this visual stalemate had to come to an end.
Gideon and Moryuu: “!!!”
I instantly transformed, feeling the power of lightning rush through me as I armed myself with my tonfa.
Gideon responded at the same time with a powerful left hook that clashed with my tonfa.
The clash caused an immense Shockwave that broke the ground under us, shattered all glass in the area and obliterated the corpses.
The blast pushed us back some but no damage was dealt.
Gideon brushes off the slight dust the blast caused.
