The roar of the storm and portal ringed in Shadow's ears and was amazed by their abilities and magic. Oh, what chaos and delightful destruction they are using against each other. Shadow nearly had to pinch himself not to laugh or even smile at the site since he is in disguise.
Magpie gasped as she woke up and felt panic, clouding her mind as she heard nearby a deafening roar. She felt its magic; it is powerful but hard to say if good or evil. Quickly she recalled seeing Shadow before keeling over. Why did he bring me here? Where is he? Cautiously Magpie got out of bed and peeked out into the long and lonely corridor. The roaring sound grew louder and felt its power more prominent. Is it Shadow's doing? As she wanted to grip for her sword, her hand clutched air. Magpie looked down to her belt. Her belt and sword were missing, but her dagger in the left boot and the three hidden knives at her corset were still intact. Magpie scoffed silently. If Shadow wanted to unarm me, he should have checked carefully. Apparently he never lived in the streets and of poverty. Wherever I go, I must be cautious; Shadow may have set up a trap for me and the others. Plus I need to help Senshi as well as the others.
"Where do you think you are going, my dear Magpie?" Spoke a velvety voice nearby.
Magpie turned around and searched the source of the voice, recognizing Shadow's voice.
"Why searching when I told you already where I am? I am near, and yet again, I am not. But aside from that, why are you so determined to help others? You hear and sense the power near, and it doesn't sound friendly. Stay here where you are safe."
"If you think you know me so well. Then you should have seen this coming." Hissed Magpie angered and marched out the room.
Shadow gave a silent annoyed sigh of Magpie's action while the others were focused at their enemies. Now that Magpie is on the move so will he too. He began to whisper the arcane language to make everyone fall into a deep slumber, focusing the most on Nuallis. In the end, everyone was on the floor asleep, and the portal was shut the moment the Simurgh closed its eyes. Shadow sniggered with delight and transformed into his true self. "Sweet dreams and sweet vengeance." His eyes glowed bright red for a moment. "Now I can have some quality time with my special bird." He dissolved into smoke and floated away.
As silence befell, the corridor Magpie was walking. She had a bad feeling; sensing this isn't the end.
Suddenly a sinister chuckle echoed the down the long corridor. She recognized his voice immediately. "Where are you going, Magpie? Do you know that you're unarmed? It's just you and me now, sweetheart." Sniggered Shadow and appeared before her.
Magpie squinted her eyes in anger as their glances met. "What have you done to the others?" She hissed.
"I just placed them out of harm's way so that I can provide to you my fullest attention, dear Magpie. To be exact, they are all asleep and dream of their vengeance they've yearned for so long." Shadow smiled and stepped closer. "Perhaps even doing them a favour. I am after all the master of illusions." As Shadow wanted to stroke Magpie's face, she pulled out wicked fast a long slim blade from her corset and held it against his throat. Shadow scoffed amused of her action. "No worries, I have no intention of making you fall asleep too."
"Then what is your intention?" Hissed Magpie, the blade began to tremble in her hand.
"It's alright to be afraid; it's a part of human nature." Shadow sniggered. "What exactly fears you the most? Is it your horrible past? Afraid that your beloved won't return the love as you do? Or succumb into the darkness as Ignatius did?" He paused. "These are all indeed fine points to be afraid of. What if I can make it all vanish within a heartbeat, but there's a price you must pay in return. I sent you here in the first place, so naturally, I can send you back to your world. That is if you willingly lend your powers to me. Possessing a human body has its limits sadly when it comes to magic, but there's a saying, 'when there's a will, there's a way'." Shadow grabbed Magpie's knife and pushed it aside while stepping closer to her. "And to sweeten the deal, you will be mine forever." Hissed Shadow frantically with a broad devilish smile. Before Magpie found the courage to move or speak, Shadow kissed her and felt his tongue.
Rapidly Magpie pushed him away and rubbed disgusted away the feeling left on her lips. "And if I say never?" Wondered Magpie with a trembling voice.
Shadow licked his lips. "Straightforward; you will stay here for eternity, and your friends will die, including their enemies too." Shadow pauses. "If you accept to be mine, you may go home and so will your friends. Unharmed and alive." He holds out his hand to Magpie. "It's my special offer to you sweetheart, what say you?"515Please respect copyright.PENANAqdkgzNRYq5
