He laughed in crazed delight of the sight and power that grew beyond his expectations. Soon a wave of pain swelled as six large feathery wings unfolded. As the pain ended, he found himself muse in unison of the Aether Spirit's words and looking down at a group of familiar faces while the sky above him was filled with rain and thunder.
Vandal, Magpie, Ignatius and Carlos were speechless in awe of what it said. There was no trace left of the kind and caring Nu they knew. They found themselves staring at the powerful creature flying on six feathery wings and able to use such power that is beyond them. Vandal was petrified, struggling with doubt that his eyes and ears are deceiving him or hoping it is one of Shadow's illusions.
Ignatius clenched his teeth and balled his hands into fists, knowing too well who caused it all this. Magpie scowled in silent anger, but a tear managed to roll over her cheek. Carlos glared and held tighter to his sword. Not very long, Magpie heard close beside her a heavy panting with a silent growl. As she turned to see Ignatius, she gasped at what she saw. He was glowing in orange, and his eyes burned like embers in an inferno. Before she could utter his name, he stepped back and shuddered. Within every step Ignatius took, his body morphed into something Magpie has never seen before but only heard of. His hands turned into large talons of an eagle, his legs into lion's paws, wings unfolded from his back, a large eagle's beak replaced his mouth, and his entire body was soon covered in brown feathers or golden fur.
Carlos, Vandal and Magpie winced at the gryphon's sharp eagle cry while in their minds, they heard Ignatius roaring bewildered. "Shadow, you son of a bitch!"
Dread crept through Magpie's entire body. Not sure what to do next, but knew clearly charging blindly won't end well. Maybe best to hold back Ignatius until having a sound plan on how to defeat Dark Weaver, save Nu and stop Shadow. Yet, she understood Ignatius' fury and felt his shame through the telepathic connection. She does agree with Ignatius because Shadow caused all this, and he needs to be stopped as soon as possible.
Carlos stepped closer to Dark Weaver with his sword at hand. Magpie gripped him by the arm before Vandal could. "No matter what you do, don't harm her. Nu is still in there, and with Shadow's connection, any harm inflicted upon him will be done to her too. And remember we all need to live to fight another day if now isn't the chance."
"Sounds like you've got a plan." Noted Carlos calmly and shook his arm free.
"Well, I don't really have a plan." Gave Magpie nervously and looked over to Ignatius.
"Yes, we need a plan before attacking Dark Weaver. We have at least one point to our advantage. Magpie and I know Shadow well enough what needs to be done and how it feels to be possessed." Said Ignatius through his telepathy to everyone.
"Of course, but I fear it can't be done similar since there's greater power bound with Nu." Magpie threw a glance at Dark Weaver and then to Vandal. "But what helped me a lot was hearing Igantius' voice. Maybe with Ignatius' telepathy, you can reach her and give her hope to fight from within." She placed a hand upon Vandal's shoulder. "While you do your part from the outside and not alone," Magpie spoke with her normal voice, winked and drew out her sword. "Vandal, you'll stay with Ignatius and try to reach Nu from within. Carlos and I will remain here and keep this powerful creature distracted at some point. We will remain in contact with Ignatius' telepathic magic."
Ravage watched the whole scene from a safe distance. Her eyes widened as she witnessed Shadow's and Ignatius' transformation. But her surprise soon turned to a scowl with a frown as she saw the others fighting against Dark Weaver. "Not another fight without me." Sighed Ravage annoyed. "Plus, he promised me a reward. A reward in magic and then I can play with Blue and the others to my liking-" Ravage's thoughts were interrupted by a vivid image in her mind that ghostly reflected before her eyes, knowing those are not her memories; they were Moryuu's.
Moryuu silently and comfortably leaned against a broad tree trunk and peeked over the rim, getting a glimpse of the village that his sister resides. Away from danger and war between the Mythics and humans. This little village gave the opposite picture. At the centre of the large square stood a large well, and there he spotted his sister Annette talking with another woman while carrying grocery bags and walking at a leisurely pace. He barely remembers the last time he saw her; she was a little girl with sad eyes as he left her in the care of another family. Now she has grown to a young woman, her aquamarine eyes shone with content, and a warming smile flashed across her face. Annette's long dark hair was tied up to a loose bun. She was nearly the spitting image of his mother from what he can barely remember. Moryuu was content to see Annette happy and safe. Her smile spread within his chest, a warming feeling and relief.
He turned around and found himself staring down at the ground before his feet, soon looked at his hands. They were covered in scars of battles he fought. Realizing back then, as he left Annette, he was a different man than he is today; many years have passed. No wonder Annette has grown so much since his last visit. But one thing remained, his promise. He kept it, keeping his sister safe and away from the war.
A strange warm feeling spread from Ravage's chest. She blinked in confusion and crouched down while holding a hand to her chest and staring at the rubble-filled floor in front of her. It felt strange because it wasn't new yet again she can't remember having felt like that. Was it magic? Was it Shadow's or Moryuu's doing? Ravage knows she has no magic yet what enables to cause this is none other than magic or is it not? Her thoughts became soon muddled and unclear with fear, confusion and soon the warm feeling was replaced with the pain of betrayal. Will Shadow hold his word or not? What will she do? What can she do? Suddenly Ravage felt tears trickling their way down from her pale cheeks. She gasped and whipped with a hand those tears away and looked at her moist hand. Tears. "I thought I was all dried up." She muttered to herself. Soon her mind wandered back to her past, reminiscing her past life and a sad melody that always stuck with her. But Quickly she shook her head to rid the thoughts and focus back on what was before her, the others were fighting against Dark Weaver.343Please respect copyright.PENANANjzINZSt7m
