I push through, shocking any tentacle that gets too close. While I was distracted another set of tentacles gushed out from below and trapped me in the air.
Before anything could I happen I burnt them to a crisp and threw a thunder dagger at Gideon. Surprisingly, he caught it with one hand which was no burnt black.
Gideon: “So this is your full power, frightening indeed. However….”
He instantly regenerated the wound while I return to the ground in order to continue the pursuit.
I picked up the pace to instantly close the distance, I attacked with my Tonfa but Gideon reacted fast enough to block it with his hand.
Gideon: “Gah….”
Moryuu: “That’s not all.”
Still healing from the last attack, I rose my speed further to attack Gideon multiple times from 4 angles.
His regeneration and clam head are allowing him to block my attacks but I can see an opening.
He seemed to be struggling with my speed, maybe I should take it up a notch.
I blasted around Gideon in the form of azure lightning hitting him at all possible angles. Eventually, I got a solid hit on his face which caused a shock-wave as he was sent flying into a building.
It didn’t take long for him to reform his crushed head and get back up.
Gideon: “Enough games Moryuu, there’s too much on the line to let you stop me now.”
Moryuu: “Couldn’t agree more!”
I took the initiation again but he expected and step forward at the right moment in order to hit me in the gut.
Moryuu: “Gah!”
Holy….he can hit this hard? I was sent fly across the street but he followed up with a sharp tentacle arm. I created a lightning shield to stop it but he forced himself through the pain using fast regeneration. I barely blocked with my Tonfa, If I didn’t I might have been cut in half.
Gideon: “I just got serious, is this all?”
Moryuu: “I know you’re in pain, don’t suppress your screams on my account.”
I spin my body and use my legs to trip Gideon but he jumps but that’s good enough. I aimed my Tonfa at the airborne Gideon.
Gideon: “!”
I shot a lightning blast that put a hole through Gideon and blasted him far into the distance.
Moryuu: “You’re not getting away that easy.”
I turned into lightning and rushed after him. I turned back into material at where he should be but-
Moryuu: “!”
I felt something grab me and then I saw it, somehow Gideon land already and healed. He grabbed me with a multitude of tentacles which I tried to burn off but he’s gotten persistent.
He slams me through multiple buildings and I’m….starting….to lose….conscious.
Damn it! No, I’m not losing to him! Think, what can I do to get out of this?
I take out a dagger and sharpen it with as much lightning as I can and cut the tentacle. The inertia sends me flying through multiple buildings until I crash into a store’s walls.
I cough up some blood and set down to focus on healing. This was harder than I expected but at least I have time to heal. I breathe in and out, allowing the healing lightening to flow.
Gideon: “Come out Moryuu, our battle is not over yet.”
Damn, he was fast. I don’t have much time, I need to heal.
Gideon: “I understand, you’re not obligated to them right? No need to fight so hard for these people who don’t trust you.”
Gideon: “How about this, you stand aside and I’ll let you go. I’ll go and kill the rest which should release the sleeping God, I promise to ask it to spare you and your world.”
Gideon: “What do you say?”
Gideon: “Gah!”
Gideon: “Two daggers to the back? Is that your answer?”
Moryuu: “Whether it’s my world or another, I hate sick creatures like you. I don’t need to be particularly close with everyone to help stop this madness, besides-”
Moryuu: “A certain someone would be disappointed in me if I let you live. His dream of peace doesn’t need you.”
Gideon: “Well, that’s your world’s funeral.”
This time Gideon attacked me with erupting tentacles and a charge with his bladed arms but I dodge it all and counter with a poison vial to the face.
Gideon quickly shrugs it off but it gave me a chance to hit him with a blow to the gut. I then shot a lightning blot through him again.
Gideon: “I’ve gotten used to that already.”
Moryuu: “!!”
Gideon clawed my face and then punched me in the gut which sent me flying into the sky. Gideon followed after me and then grabbed me from behind.
Moryuu: “What are you….a piledriver!”
Gideon: “Try to survive this if possible, otherwise your head is going to going to look very different.”
As we fall from the sky upside, I tried to shock him but he really has gotten used to the heat of lightning. That regeneration is really annoying, I put up a lightning shield to prepare for the impact.

…..
I regain consciousness quickly and notice immediately. I’m inside a crumbling pillar with water flowing from the top, it really looks different when compared to the rest. Red light is coming from the top, I guess that’s where we came through.
Good thing there are no monsters but something else is wrong….
Moryuu: “Where are my Tonfas?”
It didn’t take long for me to see them on the lower floor of the pillar. I force myself up, I don’t have time to waste lying down.
Moryuu: “Ignore the pain and broken bones, I’ve been through worse.”
Gideon: “You’re finally awake and here I thought you were dead.”
I quickly look up to seeing Gideon all healed and cleaned up sitting calmly on rubble. I’m in no shape to fully take him out, I need my Tonfas.
Gideon: “I may be desperate to kill you but I’m still a gentleman, I won’t kill you while your unconscious. We’re not savages right?”
Moryuu: “Of course, since you’re such a gentleman I’m sure you’d let me get my weapon.”
Gideon: “I’m a gentleman, not a fool. That was the last mercy you’ll receive. Time for you to become apart of me.”
At least I tried, some gentlemen. I’m not dying here, they’re all counting on me.
Moryuu: “Fine, time for round 2 Gideon!”
