One who shows disgraceful fear or timidity. A person who lacks the courage to do or endure dangerous or unpleasant things. A person who is not brave and is too eager to avoid danger, difficulty or pain. They are easily frightened and avoid dangerous or difficult situations. A person who shrinks from or avoids danger, pain, or difficulty.
I did look up in various dictionaries. And the result, I kept on hitting the meaning. Coward.
Yes. We can agree with this idea: we hate cowards. We can be as humble as we want but internally, we hate them. An idea that can go through into anyone of us.
Being coward publicly: unable to deliver a good speech nor answer a simple question infront of a class, cannot handle the fear of a present situation nor a recent argument, incompetent in terms of skills, relying on others' opinion. In short, if there is someone called 'the president of the masses,' then there is 'the coward of the masses.'
In a small group, cowards are slowly taking their chances to escape from being the alpha or beta. They will not say it but we can attest to that because we can feel it. There are those who are obviously under that state but sometimes there are those arogant. They will deny and deny until we ask no more.
And then privately. A person without any courage in true nature, a person who is defined by those books: a real coward. They sustain their strength by means of avoiding. Avoiding themselves because of their capabilities. Avoiding themselves because they have nothing to avoid from.
Worse, they lean on another coward. Someone who they think will help them. Someone who seems to have the highest level of courage and confidence. Little do they know, that someone is just a product of eternal cowardness. Eaten by his own thoughts and fears that he can no longer show his own strength so he pretend and shows fake motivation to others.
In the end, the biggest coward of all,
is me.
