We really like 'ironic' things. These things make us happy or laugh a bit.
When a professional turns down by his own profession. A dentist with toothaches. A barber with hair problems. A robber who was robbed. A leader who cannot follow. A teacher who cannot teach (Haha haha). A student who cannot learn (payback...). A writer with nothing to write about.
Even stories from books. The fable of turtle and rabbit. The turtle and monkey. The turtle and any animal which could be. The Lottery. The Story of an Hour. The Gift of the Magi.
And then, the story of reality.
Where moments of the past barely make it into the future. Where happiness can turn quickly into sadness. Where goodbyes are not really good. Where verbs cannot turn into actions. Where ideas cannot take form. Where these words will never be heard. Where lies are used to cover the truth. Where our best is not enough. Where the things we want the most are the things we cannot even touch.
We really like ironic things, isn't?
But the more we like it, the more it takes out the fun.
That is why I hate irony. It becomes the reality.
