There is someone I like.
He is someone who just do something because he likes it. No other reasons.
As an aspiring engineer, he supposed to like mathematics. And so he does like it. He may not be the fastest one I know, but when he learned a certain topic; it just branches out in his mind like the roots in the ground. Then he just shares those knowledge with others.
But then, I am confused why he will do writing. Whenever he gets some free time, he writes. He puts his own life into words, even the life of others; quoting such as "experiencing something on someone's shoe."
I tried to ask why he would do something that opposed his soon to be profession. He would only answer me by saying, "because I like it."
I was left in awe and stunned.
When someone asks for his help, he will teach them. When they need something to help them, he will give the best he can give.
I tried to ask him again. He responded with the same answer, "because I like it."
When I heard that he confessed his feelings into someone, he was rejected. She said that the only reason he got was, "because I like you."
This time, I will not ask him anymore. I know the answer.
And I learned.
I learned that when you like it, you have to got no other reasons. The fact that you like it will leave you striving for more.
"No matter how good we are, there is usually someone better," and that someone can be ourselves.
When we like what we do.
