A demon is born in the night amongst a flower field. When a little girl named Lavender chances upon him, he is drawn to the light of her innocent soul; the only thing that can keep him with her.
After gaining a name, Teddy finds himself falling for Lavender. But with time quickly running out, Teddy must exchange his soul with hers in a fate that entwines them together forever.
Bound, Teddy dooms Lavender to a childless life. But when another bound demon named River becomes interested in the couple, Lavender starts to see what a relationship between her, Teddy, and River's own human, Darcy, means for her.
But with Lavender and Darcy aging, and River and Teddy destined to be trapped in an ageless life, the differences between demons and humans become painfully obvious in a world determined on abusing the very existence of demons to mutate them into monsters.
Monsters molded by trauma are born from both demons.
River is isolated from Darcy just for protecting him from his abusive parents. Teddy is abandoned after discovering the truth that divides demons and humans even in death; leaving him reborn as a creature of that darkness.
Forced to survive to nature's cruel laws, Teddy continues his life with a new family in the flower field he was born in until grief tears him apart and leaves him with nothing but a desperate hope of recovering what had been stolen from him all those years ago.
With his feral life stripped from him, Teddy retraces his life through a series of memories to lead him to where the missing pieces of his heart are waiting.
Photographs is an emotional tale of everlasting love, perseverance, and life's lessons in a divided world set on challenging Teddy's spirit itself.
