Finally, it was time for them to head back to school. But the new year brings new games, doesn’t it? Two new students have arrived along with the contestants today. However, they aren’t part of the game; they just so happened to transfer over in time.
Sherine Severus. A surprisingly short girl, long, straight, ebony hair covered one eye, making her seem like an emo. Along her shoulders was a thick, raven-coloured jacket and a book was neatly opened in her hand. She was quiet, but she did speak her mind if needed.
Natalie Henan, another girl. Beautiful as she was sarcastic, she always found a way to offend someone. What they said back to her she would not bother, just adjusting her wide glasses and flipping her midnight hair back. She didn’t really care about herself though, astonishingly she did bother to be concerned over some.
The main gang didn’t dare stay so close to each other during study-hours. After they had uncovered what will happen if they leak information through one another. They weren’t sure on who to trust, and especially what to trust them with. Outside the weekly crew meetings, Contestant 10, otherwise known as Pierce Palven; had other plans.
Origanally, she wanted to turn against them as well, but her gut rejected the offer, letting her figure out why. The party would be overly cautious at the moment, so there’s no point in her striking now. Maybe she could make allies? Good idea. She went to the new girls, but soon fell in a steady rhythm with Sherine.
The two found a lot of similarities between themselves. Be it their love for books, misjudgement or similar hairstyles, they got along very well. Weeks and meetings passed by and the alliances had welcomed Sherine. She didn’t know the danger she stood with if she did stay though, she thought they were all just normal kids. Like her.

That night the bunch of teens decided to meet up at the park for a break from all the Hell they’ve been through in school. Upon meeting, the most mentally unstable of the 7 explored her stalker book. A small smile was stuck on her lips as scanned her notes:
’10:10 PM:
Baron compliments me.
10:20 PM:
Baron is lying on the ground and looking at the stars.
10:30 PM:
Baron is making a long wish on a shooting star.’
But then something else jotted itself down in her diary...:
’10:40 PM:
Fourth opens fire against Baron.
She misses.
10:50 PM:
Baron gets shot in the chest by Fourth.
Baron Alton dies.’
Her eye twitched with irritation. Why do monsters always have to ruin my life with my honey bun?! A sigh escaped her lips, causing everyone to turn to her. “Something wrong..?” Alfred broke the silence, slightly concerned. Candice just shook her head and shot them an odd look.
”Okay guys, we better get going or our mom is gonna kill us.” The Mai duo admitted sheepishly, rubbing their necks with the palms of their hands in sync. If they weren’t already awkward, the freaky synchronised movements being displayed by them made the situation more embarrassing.

Fearful for her boyfriend’s life, the paranoid constantly checked her clock, fidgeting non-stop as she struggled to wait for 10:40. Constant checking went on and on until finally Baron’s phone buzzed—:
’10:40 PM:
Fourth appears out of no where.
She tried to shoot me but missed.
10:50 PM:
Fourth tries to shoot me again.
DEAD END. ‘
Oh no.. worries and distress zoomed within the 12 year old’s mind. Breaking phones were fine, but GUNS?!?! How did a minor even get her hands on those!!! He lost his composure, refusing to reveal it on the outside, he clung to his warrior’s shoulder.
“Don’t worry Hun, she won’t hurt you.” The dark, lethal girl soothed. Then a gun shot was heard. It was time. Springing to their feet, the 5 victims spun around to face none other than Reine Lao. She smirked at them, raising her arm...
Slowly aiming..
And she pulled the trigger.
She missed, as Baron’s and Candice’s diary had predicted, but they both knew what the second shot would mean. “Guys!!! Over here!!” A loud shout echoed from Alfred, his escape diary had shown him a path he could bring them to hideout for the time being.

After running and crawling through nooks and crannies, the team had some time to breathe. The dead end flag was not broken yet, however, which still left them in limelight. Sherine was stunned, she hadn’t experienced anything like this before!
“So..” she broke the ice, determined to find out what she got herself into. “What..are you people..?” She insisted, “Uhm..we’re something called ‘diary holders’ “ Pierce started, unsure whether to go deeper. “Yeah..And..why did someone try to shoot us?” Sherine demanded, she almost died! “Well— uh,” Baron went on, answering her question.
”She was— well...” “Basically we each hold something that lets us see the future, and so we fight to become God and then we make things normal again.” Everyone stares at Candice, who vomited out everything to them with no hesitation at all.
The dumb-founded girl nodded shakily, she wasn’t sure if she was gonna live, but she wasn’t going to back down now; after all they’ve been through.

A gun glistened with the help of the silver moon. The barrel was fresh, the trigger just waiting to be pulled. “Give up First and only he will die.” The vengeful girl commanded, using Baron to her advantage she took a step closer. Candice took a step as well, “You, Girl. Don’t dare take another step or I’ll shoot him now.” She challenged.
The deadly girl stood her ground, not moving an inch as she turned to sneak a glance at Sherine. She looked like she was about to run and bail on them. I knew she couldn’t be trusted! Baron’s life is on the line!! But instead of what she had concluded, the shortest of the few had made a separate decision.
”I’m giving you to the count of 3.”
Candice let her foot hover slightly above the ground.
”1..”
The grip on the trigger was tighter.
”2..”
Sherine got in her stance.
”3..!”
BANG.
Baron opened his eyes slowly. How was he still alive?! Is this Heaven??? Impossible, he survived a GUNSHOT? But as soon as he saw what was before him, his features paled. Sherine had taken the bullet for him. She was shorter, so by the praise and luck of Deus himself the bullet had only penetrated her shoulder. But she was still loosing a lot of blood.
”I shot an..innocent..” Reine stumbled back, dropping her gun. She was shaken up on the fact, it all happened so fast... She killed someone who doesn’t even know the games exist!! She felt nauseous, clutching her stomach she retched. “I shot an innocent girl..why..” She asked herself, tears of guilt slipping down her cheeks.
Pierce was the first one to Sherine’s side, flinging off her jacket she placed it on the wound to stop the excessive blood loss. “Sherine stay with us..” She pleaded, tears threatening to prick her eyes as she wiped the sweat off her friend’s forehead. Sherine had fainted, but she was still breathing.
Pierce and Alfred came to a temporary truce, rushing Sherine straight to the ER whilst thinking of an excuse to tell the nurse. Meanwhile Reine was still freaking out. “Reine.” Candice announced, causing the girl to look at her, “Either finish us off or we will finish you.” Baron glared at his maniac of a lovebird.
”Are you crazy Candi?! You can’t just do that and expect someone t—“ his sentnence was cut short by Reine standing up and holding her phone between two hands, “No need.” She shook her head, bringing the death will higher to show them she wasn’t faking it.
“Baron.” She said, “You better win this.” And with that she snapped her phone in half, sending her directly into the oblivion like state.
