Shadow smirked from afar of Magpie's scepticism of Senshi's answer and silently walked away. "I'll let you have your fun while I have other business to attend to." He whispered to himself and then took in a deep breath to pick up a scent, the foul stench of an umbra. He followed it cautiously with an attack spell at the ready; after a long walk and the sun was setting in the horizon he came to a halt at a tall, half-fallen building. Surely they have traps set on the grounds, but what about from above? Shadow smirked to the thought and whispered the arcane words to levitate. Effortlessly he flew to the cracked open wall, at about the third floor and observed his surroundings carefully. He took in a deep breath, no umbra here, perfect. There were many closed doors and a long singular corridor to follow. If to remain stealthy like Magpie, this isn't the right place, and I am no thief. I am a caster, and a caster enables new possibilities. Yet I do wonder what secrets lie behind these doors? Quietly he walks past the doors, and very soon his curiosity got the better in him that he decided to transform into smoke. Without a sound, he floated to the floor and crept through the open gap between the door and ground.
In front of him, he saw the young girl called Nuallis, prefered to be called Nu. Her weakness is her feeling for her friends and especially the gunman called Vandal. Her facial expression looked pained and saddened while staring at the ground before her feet. He activated a spell, transforming to a foggy version of Magpie and whispered her name through Magpie's voice. "Nu? Nu, can you hear me?" Pretending to be unsure with the use of magic and if the connection succeeded. Nuallis blinked and slowly looked up, her face lightened up with joy and relief by a smile. "Magpie, I can hear and see you. Where are you? Are you alright? Is Vandal with you?"
"One question at a time, Nu. Yes, Vandal is with me as well as Senshi. As for where we are is hard to say, where are you? Do you know where is Jayden?"
"I don't know but don't come after me, Cordis, Caecius, Ladnavia and further umbras are here. Get yourself to safety, don't worry about me, I'll be fine." Nu took a breath to hold back the tears. "No matter what, don't come looking, it will be the death of you all."
"I'm learning how to use magic fast and have a special friend who helps me confronting them, he's reliable. May look sinister and devious at first hand, but he's got my back covered, he's an old friend by the name Ignatius, his cover name is Shadow." Slowly Shadow made Magpie's image go blurry and vanishes out the room.
In the corridor, he solidified to his true-self and couldn't help holding back a soft sinister chuckling. Down a few flights of stairs, he found who he was looking for, Cordis, Ladnavia and Caecius were sitting in what appears to be the living-room. The smell of an umbra nearby couldn't be missed in addition. Everyone in the room tensed as Shadow slowly approached them with his hands relaxed at the side and a broad smile to greet. Cordis remained calm and smiled back deliriously.
"One step more and it will be your last!" Hissed Ladnavia with her crossbow aimed at the ready at Shadow's chest. Shadow halted and made half a bow with a hand to the middle of his chest and other behind his back as it is courtesy in his land. "You have every right to be cautious but," he paused and stood up. "Allow me to introduce myself. You may call me Shadow; I'm a dark caster or as others prefer to call necromancer. I am Magpie's foe, the darker side of her beloved friend she so dearly wants to save."
Cordis stands up and begins to walk around him, inspecting closer with a teasing smile. Shadow knows it is a part of a test. "Why do you want to join?" Hissed Cordis.
"The same reason why you have assembled although each of you eyeing for a different goal. Since I use magic and illusions, I can be of services." Shadow grinned confidently.
