trailer guesses
This looks like it’s going to be SO good!! I was worried this upcoming episode would focus only on the unrequited-love angle, but it looks like it’s going to be heavy on the plot and backstory, too!
Picking apart the last trailer was a lot of fun so I’m giving this one a try as well! Especially since I’m impatient this is probably going to be the last Youthful Movie we’re going to get lol
This looks like everyone walking home after the typhoon. I love how no one’s walking by the side of the people they have the most loaded relationship with. Tenga is as away from Chidori as possible without having to walk by Nico’s side, Chidori and Nico are on both corners and Tenga is standing right in between Yuta and Honoka lol
Which begs the question of: Where is Katsuhira?? Could he be walking behind them to better portray his isolation? Or could he have actually stayed behind?
His talk with Urushii seems to happen later though. His eyes are already healed and going by the lighting, Nico and the others seem to be present, too.
Either way, I got my Urushii/Katsuhira talk!! I’m so excited! It looks like Urushii maybe explaining to them just why the Kiznaiver Experiment isn’t supposed to connect people for too long, but she definitely talks about Noriko, too, because she looks very emotional at one point. Plus in the Rampage Arc trailer, you can hear Katsuhira go all “Please tell me sensei, that girl…”
So perhaps Urushii starts talking about what happened to Noriko without actually revealing she’s talking about her?
Also, look at the way these Kiznaivers aren’t actually connected to each other, but through a “medium” of sorts. Assuming this is the consequence,
I seriously CAN’T WAIT TO HEAR ALL THIS.
Plus!
These two take place at the same time, which means we’ll get this scene tomorrow! Maybe as part of Urushii’s explanation? SO SO EXCITED.
You know, a Japanese fan mentioned that one of the keywords for the episodes was “Canned food.” I should have known he meant it literally lol This could be a nice shot to make Katsuhira take action later in the episode because there’s a huge difference between eating canned food by himself (+Hisomu) and eating a hotpot with everyone.
Looks like this time it’ll be Katsuhira the one to stop Honoka and convince her they can be friends? ;____; My babies!! If this is the case I’ll be over the moon because Honoka and Katsuhira have been paralleled a few times already, so I’ve been waiting for them to have an actually meaningful interaction for ages.
These should take place there, too, because they have the same background:
Another thing that caught my eye is that Tenga’s nose is bleeding here but it wasn’t bleeding during his scene with Yaamada.
Plus Yaamada is sort of looking at the ground in that shot up there, so maybe Yaamada hits him? Speaking about Tenga, I really, really hope we’ll get a shot of his home life or where he lives or something since he shouldn’t be staying with Katsuhira right now. But I don’t want to get my hopes up;_;
I’m wondering whose hands are these?
Judging by skin-tone and the other scenes in the trailer, that whiter one could be Nico. So perhaps the other one is Chidori’s? I think Honoka’s skin tone is also lighter than Chidori’s, but I could be wrong.
ALSO. I’m probably completely off about this, but that background sort of looks like the one from the Basketball Court?
If Noriko goes back there and remembers what happened with Katsuhira, I’ll be dead, gone and buried before the episode ends. So maybe it’s better to be wrong lol
WHAT SERIOUSLY DID ME IN THOUGH. NORIKO.
HER EYES SHAKE. There’s actual emotion in there for a sec before it fades!!
And HER HANDS.
It’s the exact same thing she does in the first episode, AND:
Don’t! tell! me!! This gesture is Noriko longing to reach them or something? Because if it is, I’ll seriously be done for. I’m not sure if the kid waving in the background is Katsuhira, but if he isn’t and he grabs Noriko’s hand to pull her along, oh boy.
I’ve been wondering for the longest time if they were hiding her eyes because they were different or the same as they are now. And of course, the answer had to be the most painful one;___;
I BET YOU ANYTHING HE IS REACHING HIS HAND OUT TO HER JUST LIKE IN THE ENDING. AND. This may mean this part of the ending is Noriko->Katsuhira:
“I’m scared of getting hurt, that’s why I pretend not to see skies beyond my view. I’d been clutching my knees in my room that day, but you pushed my window open wide!” (loose quoting)
And of course, THIS.
I assumed this hand belonged to Chidori because of its skin tone, given that Chidori is a few shades darker than Katsuhira and Noriko. But going by that background, Katsuhira is at the old playground:
Same windows, same trees!
And Noriko is also there. Though it actually looks like Noriko is found there (be it by Katsuhira or by everyone), and Katsuhira’s scene should take place earlier because the sun is starting to set, while in Noriko’s it’s already nearly done setting.
Depending on how this goes down, it could be a fantastic tie-in with the Ending. “As you turned towards me, your hair swayed gently. I carved the speed of that moment into my heart.” But we’ll have to wait and see. Hopefully, we’ll find out tomorrow rather than next week lol
All in all though, if we get a parallel with Katsuhira reaching his hand out to Noriko just like he did when they were children so she will hang out with the current Kiznaivers, it’ll be one of the most emotional shots in the series for me.
Back to those hands though!!
I suppose it could be Noriko, but my bet would still be on Chidori not only because of the skin tone, but also because Noriko is always drawn with pointier nails. So assuming it’s Chidori, it looks like she’s about to draw him in towards her. It could be for a hug, but the angle sort of makes it feels more like a kiss, doesn’t it? Haha if we aren’t being misdirected, it could be interesting.
I’m expecting Chidori to properly confess this time, so if Katsuhira still is uncertain about what it is to like someone, acting like she is about to kiss him may be a good way to gauge his feelings and snap him out of it. Not to mention, it could also be a good way to see if Katsuhira has learned anything after the hug fiasco. And if it’s a hug, it could also be full of meaning; especially if it precedes Katsuhira running off to try and find Noriko or something.
I have zero clues where and when these take place through:
WAY TOO MANY SUNSETS.
