(Seth’s PoV)
She ended the call and I stared at the phone in my hand. I’ve finally met a girl who was worth my time and she was busier than a college man.
Great.
I walked down the hallway with the intention of going to the Admin Office to give the things my Prof asked me too. Apparently, he was too busy to deliver the papers that the Admin have asked for. But everyone knows he just spends his time snoozing in his office.
But it was a welcomed distraction, anyway. Since, I’ve met her I couldn’t take her out of my mind. The way she moved in the rink. The natural way of her skating techniques. The way she acts with her friends. And most of all, the way she smiles when she’s with me.
I stopped in front of the door of the Admin Office. Balancing the 500 sheets of paper on one hand, I knocked on the door and opened it. The Office had three counters that was facing the door. Plastic chairs made up the left part of the room.
I went straight to Counter two where a woman in her mid-forties was sitting. I greeted her and she looked up at me with a bright smile. I told her about the papers and she asked me to leave it there and thank me.
“How are you, dear child?” She asked me before I could leave.
“I’m fine, Mrs. Brown.” I answered with a toothy grin. Mrs. Brown likes talking to me every time I visit the office.
“Really now, Seth? Why do you have this distracted look in your eyes then?”
I rubbed the back of my neck and I couldn’t help the happy grin that forced its way out.
“Oh, I see.” She said with a knowing smile. “You finally met a girl, didn’t you?”
“I nodded, unable to stop smiling as I see her face in my mind. Mrs. Brown gave me a laugh and congratulated me on finally finding someone.
“It’s not like that, Mrs. Brown. We’re not dating.” I admitted. “We just met.”
After talking to Mrs. Brown, which lasted for half and hour, I left the office. Yawning, I made my way towards the parking lot. I had no more classes today and I couldn’t wait to go home and rest. I’ve felt like I haven’t had a single proper rest this week and I’m started to feel tired.
On my way, Adaline, a classmate of mine in two subjects, blocked my way. Her long red hair cascaded to her waist. Her mint-green eyes solely looking at me. She had her hand on her hips, emphasizing her hour glass figure.
“What is it, Adaline?” I asked with a bore tone.
You can never get anything good with associating with Adaline. Apparently, she’s the daughter of the CEO of the Delia Hotel and Restaurants and she likes to get whatever she wants. And currently, that’s me.
“Oh, you know very well what it is, Seth.” She purred. Running a finger down my chest.
I shivered at her touch and blatant flirting. I’ve rejected her for more than a couple of times but she just comes back every time. Like she didn’t know the meaning of ‘no’.
“Sorry, Adaline. I already have someone.” I answered and before she could answer, I went passed by her and dashed to my car in order to avoid her catching up with me.
When I was in the safe compound of my car, I let out a sigh. What is it with girls like her? I mean- she’s beautiful and sexy but why does she have to push herself to me when I’m clearly not interested?
I checked my phone and saw that I have one Multimedia message. Frowning, I opened it and saw that it was from Ashantee. With an eagerness, that even shocked myself, I opened it.
So that you don’t have to wander ^_* -A
And below it was her photo. I sucked in a deep breath as I stared at the photo she sent me. She was in the middle of spinning and was holding a long ribbon on each of her hands, trapping her inside two twirling lines. She was wearing a straight suit. It was a long sleeve that hugged her in all the right curves. It ended in the upper part of her tights that gave the impression of a swimsuit, showing her long slender legs, but I know that this one is the kind that gymnastics wear.
I gulped down a group of imaginary water as I stare. I wasn’t expecting her to send me a pic and I have to say that I love this part of her, too. And I’ll do anything to witness her perform.
Now, I really want to see you. Your beautiful as ever. -S
She didn’t replied and I looked at the time. Figures, she must have still been in practice when she sent me the picture. Smiling, I started the car and I slowly drove out of the campus.
I mentally smacked myself when I noticed that I was going towards Ashantee’s house. I knew very well that she was still not at home but I still unconsciously went here. I stopped in front of her house and stared. It was obvious that no one was home. I was leaving when I noticed a shadow moved on the left side of the house.
Lurking around like it was trying to find a way in. But when I squinted to see properly, I saw nothing. Frowning, I shook my head and started to leave.
Must have been a trick of the light.
I stopped at the supermarket to buy groceries. Earlier in the morning, I’ve noticed the lack of food inside my refrigerator. So, I took a cart and started to fill it with anything that I wanted. Boxes of cereals, tray of eggs, juices, canned foods and frozen foods.
I’m not really a great cook so I was very thankful for ready-to-eat food since I live alone. Because mom and dad migrated to Russia and I didn’t want to leave our hometown. So, they just sent me my monthly budget and I’m not complaining. They’re not complaining. I was practicing independence, after all.
I fell in line. There were two more people in front of me so I had to wait for a couple of time. The lady swiped my groceries but she kept looking at me. Every time she sees me looking at her, she would wink. I gave her an edgy smile because I didn’t know what to do.
After swiping all my groceries, she said the exact amount and I gave her my card. Her hand brushed against mine as she took it but I ignored her.824Please respect copyright.PENANAJLoex5VkXR
After paying, I took my the bags of groceries and went to my car. I gently put them on the back seat before climbing into the driver’s seat.
