“What are you doing here anyway, Zān? If we hadn’t noticed your scream, you could have been dead already, beaten up by those bandits,” Amy asked. “Actually...I was requested by my village elder to the Vallion City to give this sword to the commander when I got unlucky and attacked by those bandits,” Zān said. He shows them the sword that he is carrying right now. “It has been said that this sword was imbued with the power of Wind,” Zān says. “Wow...,” everyone look in awe. “So...the reason why those bandits attacked you was because you were delivering a rare weapon?” Sieg guessed while looking at Zān. “You guessed it right. My job is to deliver items under any request as long as I’m delivering it for good reason,” Zān gives a nod. After they look, they walk away from the sword. “So....you were saying that you are heading to Vallion City. I have never gone out from home so I never knew where the city is,” Amy said. “I’ve heard of them. They said that the city was north of this path, just follow this path to the north past the isolated village and you will find the Vallion village,” Sieg interfered. “Isolated?” Amy asked. “My brother was talking about the isolated village of the elves. Ever since the war, the once known village now changed because of isolation. I wondered about the reason of isolation,” Zeke whispered to Amy’s ear. “I wonder about the isolation and why,” Amy said. “A friend of mine there might be able to tell you the reason why. He was half of them but shorter than the expectation image of what elves should look like,” Zān scratched his head out of itch. “Well then. Show me the way, Zān,” Amy said. “Alright then. This way,” Zān pointed the road. Amy and the twins follow Zān taking the road to the north.
Few hours later, they arrive at the isolated village. Despite not having a name, Amy could see that the war must have left a big impact on the villagers judging from their behavior. “Hmm....I can see the reason why now,” Fyre said in her mind. “Must have been hard for them to maintain the optimist mind after the war,” Amy replied to him. “It left a scar to the heart of these people for sure,” Fyre said. “Where are we now?” Sieg asked. “This is the Elf village, home of both long and short-eared elves,” Zān answered. “Elves? This place seems isolated,” Amy looked around. “Indeed. The villagers lived in isolation since probably 2008. Been a while since the last time I came here,” Zān tried to remember. “Wonder if my teacher lived here,” Amy wondered. “Your teacher?” Zeke asked. “Yes. Her name is Miss Moyane,” Amy said. The twins seems shocked to hear that name for a long time. “Miss Moyane??” Zeke exclaimed. “We are also her students from Infinite Magic School,” Sieg admitted. “Really? But why? She once told us about twin students who left the school. Could it be both of you?” Amy asked. “That’s right,” Zeke nodded. “Miss Moyane must have missed us a lot if she told everyone about us,” Sieg stated. As the twins reminisces about the past, a young Elf with short pointy ears runs toward Zān. “Zān! Hey!” the young man says, waving his hand. “San! Long time no see,” Zān greeted back. San stops in front of him. “Who is this?” Zeke asked. “This is San, he live in this village. He is my childhood friend. It was when the first time I went here and met him,” Zān says. San look at Zān with sparkling eyes and says,” By the way, Zān. Can I come with you? I got little bored in this village so I have decided to travel with you,” San says. “But San, what about the rule of this village? Are you going to break the first rule?” Zān says. “But...,” San says, his twinkling eyes faded and look down. Amy shows confused face and says,” Rules? What is the first rule of this village?”. “First rule: “No one leaves this village unless it was an emergency”,” Zān said. “What kind of emergency? I don’t think there will be any emergency unless the BeastMen invade the village,” Amy scratched her head. “But I still want to go. Not much has changed over the last 3 years”, San admitted. “Finley...What do you think?” Zeke asked Amy. “It’s fine...I think. But we need to do it quietly. We will just leave this village quietly,” Amy said. “All right then. Zān, Finley has decided to let him join us”, Zeke says. “What! Are you sure?” Zān asked. Amy nod. “Well I don’t really like the rule, though. After all, even if that rule really exist in my home, I would have ignore the rule and ignore my mother’s advice,” Amy says. Everyone become speechless. “All right then, let’s go!” San says. Amy and the other decide to stay at the Inn and wait until night. At night, while the guard sleeps, Amy and the other sneak past the guard. Outside the gate, Amy opens her black hood. Amy shows a move. When they gone out from the village. “(Sigh)...” Amy says. “(Sigh) we’re safe...,” San says. “Okay, let’s go!” Sieg says. Syphoon screeches loudly, it hurt Amy’s ear. “You got it, let’s go!” Sieg says. Amy and the others continue walk. “Hey, Finley...,” San says. “...?” Amy says. “What is that falcon’s name?” San says. Amy’s falcon screeches. “Syphoon. His name is Syphoon,” Amy said. “Hello Syphoon,” San says. Syphoon screeches. “(Laugh) He said the same thing to you,” Amy said.
