Noah and Mr. Moon pulled up to the house, not sure if Jade was home or not. They went looking for her, after she ran off. They both had carried the feeling of worries as they both closed the car door.
“I hope she’s okay,” Noah said.
“I’m sure she is.”
“Do you think that Mage got her?”
“No, she’s a younger girl, she still look like she was school age. She, at least, wouldn’t be able to get Jade.”
“I almost had her.”
“It’s a start of a war. It’s best Jade knows about all of this before she-“
They both heard screaming from a distance. Mr. Moon and Noah stared at each other, before they realized that it was coming from the downstairs of the house. “Jade,” Noah said, throwing his backpack on the ground, and running to the basement with Mr. Moon right on his trail.
When they busted through the door, they saw that Jade was chasing George around with a broom, screaming at him, “Get away! Demon cat!”
“I am not! If you just put that broom down-“
Jade took another swing. “Get away!”
“Jade!” Mr. Moon screamed in the doorway. She looked up, giving George enough time to turn into his human form, and pin her down with the broom in her own hands.
“I need to you stop that,” George said, holding her down. “No more hitting me with that damn broom.”
She was speechless, seeing her cat turn into a human right in front of her eyes.
“Jade,” Mr. Moon said, standing over both of them, “Maybe we can talk about all this upstairs, instead of attacking your Guardian.”
“G-Guardian?” Jade asked, staring at the orange hair human who let go of the broom, and helped her up to her feet.
She took the broom back, holding onto it tightly, ready to fight. “Jade . . . come on, it’s okay,” Mr. Moon said holding out his hand. “Let’s go upstairs, okay?”
She stared at his hand. “Why?”
“To talk, about everything. I promise you, I will make sense of this to you. Come on, take my hand.”
She did, and George took the broom out of her other hand. “You are banned from this.”
