As the days passed slowly players went about quests and dungeon crawling while waiting for the third event to begin. The heavy blade female was no different. Slaying down a monster looking like a giant orc, she released a breathe wiping her brow. It was the last monster of the dungeon and before her as she pushed open a metal door, floating, was a giant statue of a four armed beast. The beast had the face of a saber toothed feline, but with the fangs coming up from the bottom, and in two hands were two orbs and the other two held two staffs.379Please respect copyright.PENANAhpjtzDYH2e
Below the statue called a God Statue sat a golden treasure chest. She grinned, her shoes echoing as she walked up and swung her blade out from behind her and down through the air tapping the chest. With this tap from her blade, she removed the blade putting it away and watched the chest open on its own. “Yes! Come on something good!” she squealed to herself hopeful for something interesting to be inside. Reaching down in she pulled out new chest plate armor, a talisman to cure status ailments, and a statue of a golden beast that sort of resembled a large cow but with the puffy face like a dog in some ways.379Please respect copyright.PENANAN4bhbQW2zU
“Heh maybe now I can start getting this sword upgraded. Oh I wonder how much that blacksmith charges I saw back in town?” she questioned aloud to herself before shrugging and putting the items away by letting them turn into data, watching them vanish into her bag, her inventory attached to her character. The inventory was normally out of sight for others to not see except the player controlling the character could see it but not others. If the player had a character that allowed or had that feature to show the bag of their inventory then others could see it but that was why each character was different with different attributes, to allow for more freedom of design and fun in the quest to become whatever their main goal was.379Please respect copyright.PENANAMuj14qeUUB
After claiming her prizes she turned on her heel and proceeded to walk out the door a grin on her face. That was too easy. She must be getting stronger. Sooner or later she would be as strong as her two friends. Reaching into an unseen pocket behind her back along her waist she removed her hand and pulled with it an odd crystal like item. The crystal shimmered like frozen water but held streaks of purple and red flowing through it. Holding it close she closed her eyes and the crystal glowed then her entire body before vanishing, reappearing outside of the dungeon back at the entrée.379Please respect copyright.PENANAAK1tEWdz05
Opening her eyes then her hand she watched as the crystal disintegrated and floated away in the wind that blew. It had been a crystal known as an Ocarina Crystal, an item that allowed a player or party to warp out of any dungeon back to the entrance. They were fairly cheep to buy and very useful. “Huh?” while debating what to do next, if to search for a second dungeon or not in the overcast landscape a low ding sound came to her ears echoing. The player looked and gasped nearly falling out of her chair and almost dropped her controller. There in her Inbox was a message of a new quest. Returning to her character she opened the Quest menu and squealed with delight her own character giving an excited jump.379Please respect copyright.PENANAt0bIoFbxRG
It was here! The time was here! That now took top priority. She had to get there ASAP if she wanted to find out what their goal would be to get the last piece of the monster. “YES! Yes! Yes! Finally! Look out third event ‘cause here I come!” Quickly turning her head to look up her player went into the list of Friends and gave a message to the drill lancer and assassin to meet her at the Root Town, a town given a name such as Delta, Omega, or another name in relation to a number or ancient history, so they could be on their way as a party to the final event before the conclusion.379Please respect copyright.PENANAeusQ3pN3K6
Pulling out a small device in her hand and pressed a red button on it and watched as golden rings floated down around her and her character vanished reappearing in a busy town in front of a spinning and humming golden gate, the Chaos Gate. It was no hiding the grin on her face as she waited soon seeing her two party members walking up to meet her. “Miss us?” the drill lancer asked, giving a wave and a chuckle escaping him to see her nod vigorously.379Please respect copyright.PENANAZAwOljfizu
“You bet! Now come on and accept so we can get going!” the heavy blade wanted to get going to the new area to get started. This had her adrenalin pumping and her rearing to go. It was a fun event and she was anxious to know what the third piece would be already questioning what kind of monster they would be summoning during the conclusion of the events with the final fight for a grand prize.379Please respect copyright.PENANAiDi3kWd9Xc
The pair stopped in front of her and soon two dings came and on the players screen showed two more status bars, the two friends who had accepted a party request and joined. “Alright! Onwards to: Beautiful maidens Lawn keepers (Dignitary) Teahouse!” Shouted the heavy blade; pointing to the Chaos Gate, for dramatics.379Please respect copyright.PENANA6NlwU8tFrP
“Well if you keep posing like a hero’s statue then we’ll tell you how the event goes, oh great leader.” The assassin teased with humor lining his voice and she could swear made his digital eyes sparkle with playfulness. It was frustrating yet also fun at the same time as she puffed her cheeks out quickly nearing closer to the gate379Please respect copyright.PENANAtfAl5TO5bX
“I know that! Geez I can’t have any fun can I mister party pooper?” she asked but all she got for a reply was a chuckle. Entering the words the three were transported to a new location, a new area that was covered with a beautiful and sunny sky with barely a cloud in the sky.379Please respect copyright.PENANAYMHhicfGMw
All around them was an open landscape of green, the grass blades blowing to and fro as a warm breeze blew. The land was open, looking to be a wide yard and in this wide yard stood a structure like an old style Japanese temple or a house one would find someone of a higher class than commoner. It was strange and very quiet. Other players in their parties began to arrive with the game clock ticking by as it did, the time nearing closer for the event to begin.379Please respect copyright.PENANA48ovaold7Z
Thoughts and wondering about what task they would need to complete this time to get the last piece and what that last piece would be. What kind of monster would be summoned when combining the pieces of a clawed paw and a webbed wing with an eye on it? It was strange and made her wonder if the ones in charge even knew what they were going to be creating at the conclusion ceremony. When the clock came to time and a dong sound echoed around a strong wind blew, sending blades of loose grass up into the air where they swirled around like a tornado.379Please respect copyright.PENANATc0iLOLgdp
When this tornado faded away almost as if being blasted out from all sides from within, there stood a young woman, beautiful in looks with her hair long and pulled up with golden hair pins to keep it in its folded bun like design, her outfit like that of pink robes the heavy blade had just seen in books, seen in anime, or heard spoken of or even seen designs of in history books. Her eyes a golden color with overshadow of red, almost like a demon yet her face and the layers of robes made her more angelic.379Please respect copyright.PENANATUk6pCDh8C
Beside her rose a pedestal and there on the pedestal came to appear with the golden rings coming and going, was the NPC who had hosted the other two previous events. He had a big grin on his face standing as tall as the woman though without the stone below him he would only come to her elbows or that was how it appeared as a good guess based on his height.379Please respect copyright.PENANAGKlgUbMVS6
Holding a hand up a scroll appeared as before and upon taking hold of it the paper unrolled, displaying its flourished text to him. Clearing his throat he took a deep breath before beginning to read. “Here ye all to the third event be! Today is a simple event for all parties to partake in that have successfully completed the last two events. Today’s event will be consisting of each party having to go and strike the three stone lanterns scattered about the grounds in the open. When you have struck, in turn lighting, the three lanterns you will have a set time limit to go and find a special tree that will be glowing. Find the glowing tree and when you have there will be an opening.379Please respect copyright.PENANAEJXduzmGhU
“Inside this opening will be three white stone bowls. They are carrying different types of tealeaves and some berries. Each party member must bring the three bowls to the Maiden in the Royal Robes at the Teahouse. She will ask to see and know what you have brought her and if you answer rightly of what is in your bowl then you will be given a nod. If you answer wrong you will have two more tries to guess before all three bowls vanish and you with your party must strike the three lanterns again and find the tree.379Please respect copyright.PENANAXRjfv9ozEz
“Once all three members, of the party, have told her what type of tealeaves and other item is in their bowls, the leader of the party will be given a locket on a silver chain. The second part of this is it will glow and the other half of the broken piece is hidden inside the wooded area. Follow the glowing of the necklace for its other half. When found bring both pieces to me and you will be given a ticket of gold with the last piece for the final summon.379Please respect copyright.PENANA61fU1ArL0V
“Now then if you all are clear on the rules let us get this third event underway! Ready! On my mark!” he paused raising his hand high into the air with the scroll rolled back up in the other at his side. His eyes gazed out over the character’s there, already to go. He dropped his hand shouting the word “go!” and the players were off. As the teams spread out the trio moved the words of the tasks playing through the heavy blade wielder’s mind.379Please respect copyright.PENANAOVwxGUMFQP
This sounded a bit more dull and easier than the other two events but an event was an event and she wanted to see what the final monster at the conclusion ceremony would be. The trio spotted a stone lantern, build sturdy and standing just about knee height and, as she looked around, she noticed oddly the lanterns were different heights. Was this something that mattered in what they attacked? Maybe but it could just be some glitch in the system with the graphics. “Alright then, let’s get this started. I think if I attack this one and you two attack two others then we all run into the woods we should be able to get more time to find the tree.”379Please respect copyright.PENANAnhPUrHXwjQ
The pair nodded not arguing with her though the assassin did look to the drill lancer with eyes questioning this logic of hers but getting a shrug they split. Each one found another lantern though one was a bit shorter and one a bit taller than the one she had that would be in sight of her with all the other teams spread out darting around to strike the lanterns before dashing into the woods. “Now!” shouted the heavy blade and on her word the three had their weapons out and struck down, hitting the stone lanterns.379Please respect copyright.PENANAZAbsjB4BgL
When the lanterns were struck the stone on two cracked as on the third it stayed intact igniting a light to shine out through the cut windows. “What the heck? Why did mine crumble?!” that didn’t make sense, nor was that to happen; the plan had been easy enough but why would hers, and as she looked over, the assassins crumble to small piles of stone as the one struck by the drill lance lit and stayed standing.379Please respect copyright.PENANANVrTZnsbmk
“So do you have another brilliant plan, heavy blade?” the assassin asked folding his arms, his legs carrying his body over to another unlit lantern several steps away. Before striking this one though he looked back at the one the drill lancer had hit eyeing it up for height then returned his keen eyes to the structure in front of him. “This should be right.” He muttered, drawing his short swords out he struck down hitting the stone creation and watched as it lit like the one their drill lance wielding friend had happen.379Please respect copyright.PENANAasi9O0ffcL
“Seems there are fake ones scattered around with the real ones clever; I didn’t think they would do that since it wasn’t in the rules. Seems the Corporation is working on making things more interesting this year.” Commented the drill lancer approaching the assassin, watching the female heavy blade run over to a lantern and before striking looking over to try and judge the height quickly before striking it and watched it light. Sighing relieved to see this she quickly made her way into the woods racing between her two male party members.379Please respect copyright.PENANAke1skBtPyz
“No comment from you two, got it? I messed up. How was I supposed to know there would be fake lanterns around here with the real ones? Geez and get those smug looks off your faces. You could of spoken up.” Her words were quick and sharp a bit annoyed at the fact if both knew about this they should had spoken up. It wasn’t very fun to her that they kept that information from her. How as she supposed to know? She hadn’t done many events in The World yet and so didn’t know they could throw in twists without explaining they were there in the rules.379Please respect copyright.PENANA52CFY6avVc
Shaking it off she had to focus. Tree, tree, she had to find a glowing tree. If they could find the opened tree then they could grab their three bowls and return to the maiden at the teahouse. This was going to be easy. As the trio ran to find the tree other parties were also moving around the woods and looking for a glowing tree. When finally they spotted one and got closer the glow ceased and its opening closed. Sliding to a stop the heavy blade was stunned and took a deep breath before turning and looked at her two party members who had seen the tree close and thus the three returned to the open area.379Please respect copyright.PENANAU9zrDJYGEL
They would strike the stone lanterns again and with them once more lit they took off back into the woods, looking and by their second try they finally made it to one of the trees glowing. “Bingo!” Finally she was happy they got there, pulling out the three bowls quickly so they wouldn’t need to redo the activating and hunting a third time. Sure it hadn’t been that hard and it wasn’t a race or competition for placement but she could feel the adrenaline rushing through her with the thought of it being a race, a race against the other parties to be in the top finishers of the event even though it didn’t matter what place they finished in since all the prizes were the same at the end: a piece of the monster and a ticket stating they had completed the third event.379Please respect copyright.PENANACKsCgYhJwR
“Here you are.” Turning she handed the drill lancer a bowl made of white clay and to the assassin another bowl of white clay. She picked up the last bowl and stood walking back with the bowls so not to lose the fresh leaves that rested alongside the berries. She hadn’t really seen dry tealeaves before. How was she supposed to guess what they were? “Hey um…have either of you ever seen fresh tealeaves before?”379Please respect copyright.PENANARQ4TKrSL5T
“Hm? Well…no. I’m not much of a tea drinker, I’m more tasted to coffee though tea is healthier.” Replied the drill lancer, looking down to the heavy blade at his side while his player used a separate screen to look up the different types of tealeaves to get an idea of what they possibly had.379Please respect copyright.PENANAXlkkwVsAS2
“I have but I mostly just stick with a white tea or herbal teas.” Responded the assassin casually. “Though you know what’s useful? Using your brain and using a search site to find the answer. If you can find a leaf that looks fairly close there is a good chance it matches up or you can look up what berries match well with what teas.”379Please respect copyright.PENANA7nJpplAa0J
“I’ve never heard of berries being matched with tea. You sure they didn’t just make this up?” she asked not sure this was legitimate.379Please respect copyright.PENANADsddKrPWrL
The assassin nodded feeling sure he wasn’t wrong. “Yes, for some they enjoy having berries on the side or I’ve met one person who will freshly crush a berry or two into his tea.”379Please respect copyright.PENANATBPzWGgiQh
“That…sounds gross and kind of weird.” She hadn’t heard of anyone doing that. Mostly if she heard talk of tea it involved having some sort of baked good or crackers or something light though if it was common then berries were light but they were also sweet. Some did like sweets with tea but it still sounded weird much like the visuals her mind came up with using the assassin’s words. “It’s sort of cheating to use a browser to look up the answer isn’t it?”379Please respect copyright.PENANALvAMU35q4j
“In a sense yes but also how do we know others aren’t doing that as well?” the drill lancer stated. He had a good point. Being in a virtual world there was no telling how the other players were getting their answers or if they were using other means for help in getting an answer unless someone was in the room with them as they were playing. This made her wonder if during the riddles if the two males and other players may have looked up the answers to the riddles during the previous event.379Please respect copyright.PENANA69q23yyCjf
“So….did you two cheat to get the answers to your riddles?” she asked quietly, curiosity in her voice.379Please respect copyright.PENANAgvb8aeb8N0
“Not me, I didn’t cheat in the last event.” Both males said in unison with eyes on her, the trio now paused in their steps on the edge of the woods. She was silent looking to the lancer then the assassin thinking this over on if they were being truthful. She wanted to believe them. They were her online friends after all and helped her a lot through the game. Eventually she took a breath and sighed nodding a soft smile returning to her face after it had fallen during her thinking.379Please respect copyright.PENANAxquLdnPEFn
“Alright, I’m glad. Now then….how do we tell what the leaves are?” she questioned looking down to hers then theirs. In the three bowls were fresh leaves in the colors of green. They held a shiny surface to their blade like appearance. One was slimmer in width and long, another was stubbier and a bit wider with small points lining its edges, and the last was almost like the first but had some slight size difference.379Please respect copyright.PENANAf7nAXnNvRp
The two males looked to theirs and to the fruit accompanying the leaves. In the bowl the drill lancer held had a few raspberries in it, the one the heavy blade held had some strawberries in it and the bowl in the assassin’s hands held some blue berries. “Be nice if they held something to clearly tell them apart. They look the same except minor details.” She commented releasing a sigh wondering if this was going to be harder than it first sounded. Why did tea leaves need to look the same for? Why couldn’t one have a certain color and another a different color? That would have been very nice and useful.379Please respect copyright.PENANAcfqmqcFPV3
The drill lancer looking up images and information on the leaves in his separate window with his headset visor was quiet, his character motionless as the player was searching and trying to find out which was what. “You know you could do a search online. It’s very useful plus it helps a lot. It is more legal to be used when questions aren’t involved just in identifying an item.” The assassin commented calmly to the heavy blade, his player preforming his own search in a window separate from the game but unlike the drill lancer who was absorbed in his search, the assassin still conversed with others around him.379Please respect copyright.PENANAksG8IMtpAp
Finally the drill lancer’s character move indicating he had brought his focus back to the game. “Alright, if I’ve found it right then…I should have mint tea leaves. You should have black tea leaves and lastly you should have green tea leaves. That is if the images I found are right and this site is right on what types of fruits and berries are paired with certain teas.”379Please respect copyright.PENANAKK2vu0ryR9
“So…if you’re right then I’ve got black tea leaves and he has green….I hope you’re right. I don’t like the thought of us messing up and guessing wrong cause we’d need to re-locate the bowls if we guess wrong too many times.” The heavy blade commented then took the lead, leading their way to the building where the maiden sat with legs folded under her on its outside covered deck enjoying the nice air and appeared she was also enjoying the scent of the, what looked like, freshly cut grass.379Please respect copyright.PENANAZe1yGh2DyA
As the trio approached two other parties had departed from the tea house and were off into the woods to locate the other half. Stepping closer the heavy blade cleared her throat and watched as the maiden opened her eyes smiling warmly to greet them. “Welcome to the tea house. What have you brought to me for the daily tea?”379Please respect copyright.PENANAZP7gCby8bG
“Well…I feel confident I have in my possession black tea leaves paired with strawberries for extra flavor.” The heavy blade had spoken up first and watched as the maiden sat still listening and had turned her head to the drill lancer waiting for his answer. Seemed to the heavy blade they had to each say what they had before she would say if they were right or wrong. She partly wondered if in being told if they were wrong if the maiden would say who was wrong or if she’d let them discuss it and figure it out on their own.379Please respect copyright.PENANAlhy5tZ7j45
“For your tea house I have, I am sure, mint tea leaves paired with ripe raspberries for your and guests liking.” With his words finished the drill lancer bowed his head some politely then as he rose it, saw her look to the assassin for his answer.379Please respect copyright.PENANAEyCSwANtMK
“Here I have for you green tea leaves paired with several blueberries. I hope you find these to your liking.” His voice quiet and smooth, his words fluid and as if he were speaking to a lord or lady that had hired him to complete a task for them.379Please respect copyright.PENANA77eIIT8oTp
The maiden was quiet for a short while before speaking to the trio. “All are correct. I am very proud and impressed. It is not easy to see the beauty in each tea leaf that is brought into life by nature.” After those words she reached into one of her sleeves of her robes and withdrew a thin golden chain that sparkled in the sunlight and on its end dangled what appeared to be a fang with a long jagged side. “A reward for your completion and bringing me the leaves I will need for afternoon tea.379Please respect copyright.PENANAQcgKvpK06C
“Inside the woods you will find another glowing piece that will complete this one. The necklace will glow and pulse as you grow closer to the mate. If you can locate the mate inside the woods and bring both to the NPC host of the event then you will be granted your final reward. Have fun searching. The brighter the glow the closer you are to its mate. Remember that.” The maiden finished her words and as she did waved the trio off with their necklace in hand carried by the heavy blade.379Please respect copyright.PENANAB9TU5pHsAv
“Alright, let’s go find us another half of a necklace.” She commented looking to her two friends and leading the way, holding the necklace out some in the air and watched as it began to glow a soft aura. When the pulsing began it was soft and weak and thus began the searching for the other half trying to follow and track its pull.379Please respect copyright.PENANAJRZREgtPy0
This wandering around continued for several minutes, moving branches and leaves out of the way, the necklace suddenly shot out a brighter glow and actually yanked forwards making the heavy blade to stumble as she hadn’t been prepared for that. Shock came across her face then a yelp exited her mouth as it pulled hard glowing more and, not having much choice, she began to run following where the necklace aimed its end with her two party members in toe.379Please respect copyright.PENANAr1wlJNIBrj
“Where are you going?! Slow down!” she ordered the inanimate object compiled of computer data and coding. This necklace pulled and twisted waving her around trees till it came to a stop finally, dropping to hang and glow brightly. Looking up she decided to see where she was, taking in all the trees and noticed one was open like a doorway. As she approached this one the necklace began pulsing stronger and stronger the nearer she became.379Please respect copyright.PENANARAYHYsKqxJ
Inside this tree trunks doorway rested a ground of snow, in this snow sat alone snowman on the side of the area with snowflakes falling. “Hmm…this is weird…” the words were more muttered under her breathe than anything upon reaching the tree. Poking her head in then letting her body enter she took in the sight. It was as if it were a world inside of a world. The sky above was a pale cloudy gray, perfect for snowy days. The land held nothing in ways of plants or structures or life. All that was there was a lone snowman, smiling and in one hand of a stick hung a broken necklace.379Please respect copyright.PENANAh1oH1xqZMt
That had to be it. The heavy blade neared slowly and as she did the necklace began to pulse even stronger as its glow also intensified. “Yup here you are. Now you’re coming with me.” She cooed reaching out for the necklace only to see it lift up and float around pausing and only moved away when she reached for it once, twice, then jumped to grab the third and fourth time. “Hey! You are supposed to stay put so I can take you back.” She snapped.379Please respect copyright.PENANAvlGLMiUXl8
Following the necklace she watched as it came to rest in the paw hand of a player whose character was a beast type. The features told her feline, a rare breed of beast character to find in The World. Normally people chose the canine breeds or bores or some other animal due to better status abilities and bonuses for completing certain quests. She observed the long ears almost like that of a rabbit in length; its fur was a very rare mix of brown, orange, white, and black with some gray streaks.379Please respect copyright.PENANAR6XHZDP6vi
The character’s tail swished where they stood on a low tree branch watching the heavy blade female step nearer. Holding a hand out the heavy blade stopped and blinked curious as the cat lowered his hand and smiled. The outfit, she took note, consisted of a neatly fitted v neck shirt of short sleeves, long sleeves underneath, pants of a light tan almost a light red as the legs cut off shortly after the knee with a woven string tied into a neat little bow on both legs. His feet were clad in dim forest green shoes, looking like they were fabric and something a newbie, a player new to the game, would get and wear while earning money to buy new and better clothing or armor.379Please respect copyright.PENANA5jQY7x1ZXy
He reached up and, as he did, a hat almost like someone had taken the large loose brim of the hat of a mage and mixed it with the lopsided top of a top hat. It was different to say the least and on the side, attached inside the thin band, rested three beautiful feathers radiating the colors of yellow and green. Continuing to watch him she was stunned to see him draw off his hat and bow in fluid motion on the branch, stepping off as he stood back up with eyes on her.379Please respect copyright.PENANARe7hIVpDfW
The cat smiled playful his tail behind swishing as if happy but who could really ever tell what a cat was thinking? All she wanted was that other half of the necklace so she could go back and meet up with her two party members. “Hey um…how about you give me that necklace?” she asked politely smiling softly in hopes of winning over the beast character.379Please respect copyright.PENANAzxbUsiNsb3
The cat simply smiled and began to spin the necklace chain around on one of its fingers. “Today it seems is a day of wonderful enjoyment said the snowman. Today seems to be hot, the sun glowing warm from the golden sword. Up and down the path will wind but where will this little vixens thoughts align? Twirling spin the monster’s dead but another shall come and will she be dead? Two guards are good but enough are they? Again the two meet, the pet and owner. So take a breath and hide your blade, you’ll be seeing a new technique in time short or long unsure is the pet. Twin heads and purple tails so come to me and claim the key to unlocking the finale.”379Please respect copyright.PENANAoucNiSpgRh
The voice was male, smooth and normal but at the same time it sounded, odd to the heavy blade. She hadn’t heard any player speak like that before and the way the character behaved wans’t like any NPC she’d ever heard of or met in her life playing The World. Carefully though she did approach nearing watching the spinning piece on the character’s finger. “Um…alright…thank you…” she wasn’t confident in her words and reached out for the other piece she needed.379Please respect copyright.PENANAXAaHUjj8lH
As she did the cat ceased his twirling of the jewelry and held it out like dangling a piece of string at a cat and instead of yanking it back he allowed the heavy blade to take hold and claim the other half of the necklace. Stepping back happy the heavy blade bowed her head a little in an incline of thanks to the cat. “Now to get back to the guys, um…oh do you…” the cat was gone. It hadn’t been too long since she had taken her eyes off the feline character watching the necklace half pulse. She had turned on her heel to leave starting to with a few steps before turning back around to speak to the cat only to see him gone.379Please respect copyright.PENANAdV6s35ITqa
“Guess…he was busy or maybe he was an NPC…but that was the weirdest NPC if he was. Maybe it was a glitched character?” she asked quietly standing motionless in the winter landscape. After some moments she shook her head, snapping herself out of the daze and turned her back to the scene where the cat once had stood and made her way briskly out of the winter landscape. She left being watched from the air where the cat floated staring down with his yellow eyes cut in half by his slitted pupils and a smile on his feline face.379Please respect copyright.PENANATFBpif6cB3
Outside back in the woods the heavy blade exited and turned to look back, finding the opening had closed. That had been very strange but in looking at the other half of the necklace she was happy to see she had it. Making her way back in hopes of finding her party, using the map that marked where they were moving to better find them the necklace she got from the maiden glowed and pulled yanking her slightly off her course and when she did stop there hanging from a branch was half of the necklace but with a different mark on its surface.379Please respect copyright.PENANA9gI0lMPzOm
“What the? That’s….weird. Is this another test?” she wondered before reaching out and taking this piece as well and quickly made her way back to her friends.379Please respect copyright.PENANAMAuYW1fwd9
Reunited the trio returned to the NPC, questioning her where she’d gone as they couldn’t find her earlier till she found them. She had tried to explain what had happened but neither was sure that was fully truthful. They hadn’t heard of that before happening nor of any cat NPC’s running around. At the NPC that had began the event she offered first the original then the piece the cat had given her to see if it was right.379Please respect copyright.PENANAqejtFQefB8
“Ah wonderful, now then, to reunite the two souls that were sealed away. They were once young lovers, forbidden to be together and when sealed away their souls were split into two halves.” Explained the NPC before taking the two pieces and started to near them to the other. He jumped when it sparked and dropped the half given to her by the cat. He seemed to be stuck in place with confusion on his face flickering some.379Please respect copyright.PENANAUxV8L1roxI
“Um…oh no what happened?” she asked worried and picked up the piece quickly pocketing it away. The assassin and lancer shook their heads nearing and tried to push on the man. When a minute had passed the NPC began to move and shook his head looking confused then cleared his throat a bit.379Please respect copyright.PENANAzymaCYYLqr
“Ah wonderful, now then, to reunite the two souls that were sealed away. They were once young lovers, forbidden to be together and when sealed away their souls were split into two halves.” He explained again but paused when he saw he only had one half then looked to the trio before him. He stared at the heavy blade that pulled out and handed over this time the piece she found in the woods hanging on a tree branch.379Please respect copyright.PENANAJvDVeq67Z7
This one when placed began to spark but it reunited itself with the other, floating up into the air with a white aura glowing around its completed self, two chains merging into one as it floated up. When it fell back down, after floating up higher almost out of sight in its glow, what landed was a locket looking like a moon mixed with a heart designed on its smooth metal surface. Also in his hand was three tickets of yellow neatly rolled and tied with tiny ribbons. Attached to these yellow pieces of paper was an odd thing that looked sort of like an ear or an ear mixed with a horn by its shape and size.379Please respect copyright.PENANAmpPi5cfNkW
“Congratulations on completing this event and bringing the two souls together. Now they may go and have tea at the tea house, created originally so the maiden could serve souls brought together by love so they could celebrate and move on to the afterlife together. The ticket shows you have completed the event and states when the finale will take place for the final summoning. Make sure you don’t lose the three pieces and bring them along. It will be quite the fight for the final grand prize!” His words were excited and a smile stretched his face.379Please respect copyright.PENANAImwFnG4veI
“Thank you very much!” She said happily accepting her ticket and piece like the assassin and drill lancer. The trio turned leaving and looking down to the stone piece, once un-attaching it from the ticket, she began to wonder more on what kind of monster would spawn from a clawed paw, a webbed wing with an eye engraved on it, and a ear shaped sort of like a horn yet had the inner shape and opening like an ear.379Please respect copyright.PENANADzenvE1ob7
“That wasn’t too bad of an event. Guess they had to have something that’s peaceful before we go after the final boss.” The assassin commented casually with a stretch and exhale of breathe as his arms once raised were re-lowered down beside his body.379Please respect copyright.PENANA9TcwmIFj43
“What kind of monster you think it will be? I can’t figure out what they might give us with just these three pieces.” Voiced the heavy blade; looking to the assassin on her left then the drill lancer on her right, as he spoke up.379Please respect copyright.PENANAjv3PoHWNl1
“Well we’ll just need to find out when it comes up, right? What fun is it if we get spoilers before the actual event happens?” he asked happy they had went so smoothly not telling a word of his looking up the information that allowed them to get the right teas picked.379Please respect copyright.PENANACEgUcPOFeF
“Yea…you have a point. Alright! We’ll just need to get ready and I’ll start training more to be ready for the final fight! This is going to be awesome!” exclaimed the heavy blade grinning widely. The drill lancer nodded chuckling as he found her funny with how she got excited and behaved.379Please respect copyright.PENANAEcdDoGr9uz
It would take a few days but all three were curious and excited, anxiously waiting for the day to come that the final event would be revealed and start to take its place to conclude the four part event. The final prize not yet revealed to players only that it would be something great and grand for them that could beat the beast in the best time or way, it wasn’t fully clear yet.379Please respect copyright.PENANAd0060LboI7
