“Some strong magic was used here to craft all this in this extent. I also can feel magic coming off the pedestals, the center, the guardian heads, and the archway itself. This is not the magic we have practiced and dabbled into.” The Fire Mage stated not amused at the thought there was a Mage or at the worse thoughts a Sage with ill intent roaming about free without supervision.386Please respect copyright.PENANAhiPvHIkdFQ

Jordon and the Water Mage heard these words but as Jordon thought them over, wondering who could have stronger magic than the Elemental Mages the voice of the calm Water Mage caught his ear. “So you say perhaps we need to have a search party scour the area? Or have I with others use water for scouring the area for any signs of a new face?” he questioned listening to his shoes click softly on the hardened stone circles as his legs carried him closer to the archway to examine it.386Please respect copyright.PENANAQCuJbLQU6S

The carved symbols meant little to him and in his opinion they had little to do with the other except he noticed the moon shape was repeated more than any other being repeated five times up next to the star shape he counted fourteen. It seemed to point towards a night theme; perhaps pointing towards the hint whatever magic it did could only be activated at night. “I say we have a group search for any unknown persons or creatures before dark comes then once dark has come you begin your scouring at the temple. If there is another Mage or Sage with stronger magic we should be able to find him.”386Please respect copyright.PENANALEzs8p64j0

“I am sure of that but now shall we be heading back to form the search group and to speak to the other two Mages about this unknown creation?” asked the Water Mage as he turned on his heel to face the Fire Mage who gave a nod of agreement. Looking up to the sky time was ticking by and if they would want to have the search team begin the same day heading back now was the best option.386Please respect copyright.PENANAQYMrKqkClk

“Shouldn’t someone guard this thing?” Jordon spoke up suddenly to both Mages whose eyes turned to the apprentice questioning. “I mean…this person you said has great magic, yes? So shouldn’t someone be here to guard it? What if it does something harmful and whoever constructed it returns to use it?” as Jordon spoke his legs carried him to the center where the two crescent moons were then legs crossing the youth sat down closing his eyes. “I will take up the watch as I had found it and sound an alarm if anyone suspicious shows up.”386Please respect copyright.PENANAqulzOS8I4Y

It was a bold offer for him, one without a main element to master, to stand guard against a possibly stronger Mage or even higher level Sage alone. Shaking his head the Water Mage took two steps towards the young man and reached down, grabbing the back of the youth’s shirt collar and picked him up into the air with one hand ignoring the yelp of protest or jerk from the young man as he was set back upon his feet. “You will be returning home back to the temple if you wish to continue your study to find your main element or you may return home and end your study of magic and learn another trade for work to support yourself.” Firm words from the Water Mage with eyes scolding the youth for his foolishness.386Please respect copyright.PENANA0Kp6vTMyuQ

Disgust brought worked up in the back of the Mage’s throat with his eyes on the young man of his teens. Why would a student in training to learn magic dare put his own body and life on the line to protect something they had no idea of how it worked alongside that not having any combat training yet for any sort of protection against animals such as wolves or bears or coyotes. Part of the Water Mage’s mind began to ponder if the youth were not being disciplined properly by their parents before they were allowed to pursue a job or in some cases to pursue magic. Was this their future? The ones to lead on into the next generation and teach others when the older people were gone?386Please respect copyright.PENANAbQMNrLYjjA

A chill ran down his spine at the thought with horror of what the world would come to if that was to be so. Releasing a breath the Water Mage took hold of Jordon’s shoulder turning his gaze now to the Fire Mage. “I shall escort Jordon back to the temple. Will you be returning or are you going to stay behind till secured measures can be set up with the Earth Mage?”386Please respect copyright.PENANAyHXLB7toz2

“I shall stay here for now. When you return to the temple please tell the Earth Mage for when he has the time to come here and he with I shall work out the details for securing this structure. If it does release damaging magic then it must never be used till we find some way to safely destroy it.”
