"Alpha, the Schooly Mountain Pack has been raided." Noah's voice cracked as he attempted to remain calm.
"You've got to be kidding, the god damn rogues are at it again?" Sebastian's father, Travis bellowed.
"Now, now hunny. No need for that kind of language." Alexis said sweetly, patting her husband on the shoulder.
From what I have seen so far of Alexis and Travis, they were very much like me and Sebastian. "I wonder if he made her fight the way Sebastian made me fight for him." I questioned myself.
Without missing a beat, Alexis whispered into my ear, "He absolutely did, my love. Now let the boys deal with this and we will go have some tea."
Standing on my toes, I kissed Sebastian on the cheek. "Go get ‘em batman."
Shooting me a confused look, his mouth then slowly turned up into a smile. "If I were a vampire, that would be endearing. Seeing as though I'm a wolf, wolverine works much better."
Tapping his shoulder with the back of my hand, I rolled my eyes. He always had to be so literal. Grabbing me by the crook of my arm, Alexis pulled me towards her and lead me to the living room.
Taking a seat on the maroon couch, I watched as Alexis spoke to a young woman that rushed in the room to offer her assistance.
One by one, the men marched down the hall in a straight line as they made their way to the office. Us women weren't allowed in there to listen to them.
"So, Veronica, I've heard a lot about you. I have to say, I was quite eager to meet you." Taking a sip of her tea, she relaxed back into the chair and crossed her legs.

SEBASTIAN POV
Leaning over the large brown desk, I couldn't help but feel rage and responsibility for this raid. "Someone please explain to me what happened."
All the men quickly took their seats and began whispering to each other. A tall gentleman known by the name of Alpha Samuel was the first to stand up.
"We are unsure how the rogues got past the border. Due to the threat they hold towards your pack, the surrounding packs have increased security." He paused. "We have 11 injured men, 3 missing women and 2 children unaccounted for. Not only have they hurt our people, but they have set more than half of the town on fire."
My heart sank into the pit of my stomach. "Was it Miranda?"
"No, Alpha. It was the leader of the rogues in Arizona, Allen Rosen. He seems to be working with Miranda. We believe that they both have connections with Veronica." He said, wiping the sweat that began to form on his brow.
"Connected to Veronica? How would that be possible?" I asked, watching every Alpha closely, mouth agape.
"Sebastian, she came from Arizona. There might be a link there." My father whispered as he leaned close to my ear. "Let's bring her in and ask her. I can tell she wants to help."
It felt nice having my father to support me, especially since this problem was a matter close to the heart. He always told me that it was better to take a backseat when it came to your mate and children. You wouldn’t think clearly, and your emotions would get the best of you.
Before I could even agree, the door opened. There stood Veronica. Her face had turned pale, and her beautiful blue eyes were more vibrant than ever. Despite her fears, she was here, determined to help me.
"Don't be afraid. Come, sit down." My father gestured toward the chair beside him, his words familiar and reassuring.
Clasping her hands together in front of her, she walked slowly, looking at all the men who sat around the table. Some looked at her with questioning stares, while others smiled slightly and nodded their heads.
"Luna, we have a few questions we were hoping you could help us with." Alpha Samuel started.
Smiling sweetly, she sat down next to me as my dad and grabbed my hand, placing it gently in hers. She needed to calm down, and touching me was the best way for her to do that.
"Do you know a young man by the name of Allen Rosen?"
Looking at me, she answered quietly. "Yes, I do. He was a friend of mine in Arizona. He was also my..." She stopped talking and looked down at her hands. "My therapist."
"Therapist?" Samuel questioned uneasily. Without fail, the whole room started chattering.
"Why was she seeing a therapist?" One alpha asked.
"She must be a little crazy." Another one added. 389Please respect copyright.PENANAPLHphaYXys
Standing up quickly, I slammed my hands down on the desk. "Enough!" I growled. "You will show her respect. The next person I hear making comments about her sanity will have their throats ripped out."
Hearing the men talk about her like that sent a veil of red over my eyes. I wanted to kill each and every one of them until they apologized for their brash comments.
Placing her hand on my shoulder, I closed my eyes, taking in a few deep breaths. "It's fine. Relax." She quietly said.
Standing up, she rolled her shoulders back and straightened her body, standing proudly and confidently like a true Luna.
"I am not crazy." She said, directly staring at the Alpha of the Brace pack. "I was seeing a therapist because I was attacked by a wolf while in Arizona. My mate knows of this." She added while walking around the table.
"I was unaware of werewolves until I moved here. It was suggested by my doctor to speak to someone. I was having a hard time accepting what had happened to me. I spoke with Allen once about the attack." She then stopped behind Alpha Samuels chair.
"Why are you asking me about Allen?" She questioned.
Taking in a deep breath, Samuel rubbed his hands together, preparing himself for what he was about to tell her.
"Allen Rosen is the leader of the rogues in Arizona. We know that he is behind the raid of the Schooly Mountain pack."
Her eyes got as big as saucers, and I could sense the anger starting to build within her, burning as bright as an ember.
"What can I do to help? I will not allow him to hurt anyone else." She seethed, fingers clenched into fists.
Spreading a map out onto the table, Samuel removed himself from the chair and waved his hands for Veronica to sit down. Leaning over her, he placed pins on the location where the rogues were last seen. 389Please respect copyright.PENANAz9sK2V3XHH
"Son, take a good look at our Luna. That woman sitting across the table from you is more than your mate. She is a leader. Let her take control. She is more than capable, and she will prove to you and the whole werewolf community that she belongs here." My father spoke, his voice quiet but laced with determination.
