Before we could even blink our eyes, wolves were coming at us from every angle. I felt as if my eyes were deceiving me as they jumped out of the trees, crawled out of ditches, and ran up from behind us.
"Keep them back," I screamed at Allen and Miranda, who stood relaxed, smiling from ear to ear.
We were completely surrounded, a large circle of disfigured wolves standing before us. Their eyes missing, skin hanging by threads, fur matted. These wolves were the very definition of what rogues stood for. Ugly, barbaric, and ruthless.
My heart started pounding wildly in my chest, bringing anxiety and fear to the forefront. Bile surged up from my stomach, burning as it settled in my throat, leaving a nasty taste in my mouth.
Searching my mind to get some kind of advantage I zeroed in on Cade. "Perfect!"
"Swear him in. NOW!" I screeched to Sebastian as I unlocked the chains around Cade's waist and thrusted him in the direction of his new Alpha. Tripping over his own feet from the force of my push, Cade landed on his knees directly in front of Sebastian.
If Miranda wanted to tango, she better have another plan than this one. We now held all the power. Her most prized possession, belonging to us.
"What are you doing you fool, stand up." Miranda screamed from the very spot she smirked with cockiness.
Turning and looking at his Mother, he smiled. Seeing the pain stretch across her face gave him great satisfaction and pleasure.
Without warning, wolves started charging. Their feet carrying them as fast as their mutilated bodies allowed them. Lunging forward, our pack transformed, each wolf howling as it changed. The sound of their bones cracking filled my ears, sending shivers down my spine.
Cade's black as night wolf stood along side of me, ready to help me peruse my target. I fixed my eyes on Allen, and ran. Before we could even get close, a large grey wolf charged into his side, knocking Cade off his feet. A gasp left my lips, realization of the deadly attack that was before me finally hitting home.
But I continued on, pushing forward, ready to release all of my rage on the piece of shit I once trusted.
Shoving both of my hands into Allen's back, I heard the thump of his solid figure hitting the ground like a ton of bricks. His eyes were as big as saucers when he rolled over and looked up at me.
"You really think this is a war you can win, Veronica? Especially with me?" He growled, his eyes flashing red.
"What the hell?" I whispered to myself. Fear coursed through my body, creating a knot in my stomach. Wolves eyes don't turn red.
With lightening speed he jolted himself up and into my face, smiling as he gripped his long cracked fingers tightly around my neck.
Gasping for air I grabbed his wrists, digging my nails deep into his skin, feeling each layer break with the pressure.
"You can't hurt me bitch. I'm untouchable, immortal."
He lifted my body off of the ground, sending my legs to kick wildly, searching for something solid to stand on. The pounding of my hands against his wrists were attempts at begging him to stop and put me down, but he laughed at my childish kicking and squeezed harder.
"Still want to continue?" His eyes bored deep into mine, showing no mercy.
As my head started pulsating, my lungs deflated, and a shade of black rolled over my eyes. Quick flashes took over my vision, my life replaying in an instant.

SEBASTIAN POV
Lunging forward, my teeth sank into its fur and deep into its skin. With ease I ripped its throat from its body as blood spurted, covering my once untouched white fur.
Violently shaking the blood off, another jumped onto my back, biting my scruff, triggering a loud growl to escape my chest. These rogues only fueled the fire that burned deep within me.
The force of his attack sent my body tumbling, pinning him between the hard ground and my back. Swiping my paw across his bare stomach, my claws sliced him open, allowing his bloody insides to litter the grass.
A sense of victory filled my veins as I continued biting chunks of skin and fur, rendering my enemies helpless.
"Veronica, NO!" I heard scream in my head, distracting me from the fight I was in. Before I could react, a wolf hit me, cracking my bones, and sending me summersaulting into the air while his teeth snapped at my airborne body.
Sliding against the ground I tried to scramble to my feet, howling for backup as a whimper left my chest.
Dropping back to the ground, my eyes followed the wolf charging toward Allen. There was my mate, being held in the air by her neck, limp and lifeless. The mate connection broken.
With no strength or will to live, my broken body laid still on the ground, as a mass of fur rushed toward me, digging its teeth into my leg, then my back.

VERONICA POV
My eyes burst open, a rushing feeling of heat surging through my veins. A feeling of power and adrenaline, filling all the voids.
His eyes enlarged, as he shook his head in disbelief. "What are you?" He yelled, throwing my body backwards.
Defenseless, a brown wolf jumped into his face, biting into his shoulder, shaking his body like a rag doll. Allen's scream filled my ears, drowning out all the howls and snarls of the beasts around us.
Getting up, he ran toward the wolf, jumping into mid air before landing on his feet an auburn wolf.
I could see the red eyes circling the other wolf as he bared his long white teeth, ears slicked back along his head. His snarls sounding deep and deadly, as he snapped his jaws together, stomping his paw onto the ground.
As the wind blew, the smell of iron filled my nose. The blood and guts of the wolves, leaving the scent of death to circle around us.
"You can do this." I said to myself, as I got up to run. But a large black and brown wolf stepped in my way. Shaking his fur and growling, blood dripped from its teeth. Walking toward me, it's muscles contracted with each step, making him appear more vicious. 417Please respect copyright.PENANAGQWCdqbRuq
Raising its paw he jolted forward, sprinting right for me. My only instinct was to run, but my legs wouldn't move. I was frozen to the ground, my shoes feeling like cinderblocks.
With no time to react, I raised my hands to protect my face as he leaped on top of me. Both front paws on my chest preventing my lungs from contracting and expanding with air.
The blood tinged drool slid onto my cheek as he snarled and chopped at my face. Wrestling for my pocket he bit my arm, sending a blood curdling scream to leave my body.
