"My name is Sebastian Cross by the way," He murmured while holding his hand out to me.
"I'm Veronica and this is Tessa," I replied, my voice cracking a little bit before placing my hand in his and feeling the electricity surge through my body again.
Curious as to if I would feel the electricity ignite in my body again, I nonchalantly brushed my hand against Tessa's to see if I felt the same thing. I felt nothing.
We all just stood there for a second in silence before a loud bang caused us all to jump and turn in the direction to where it came.
"Hey Sebastian, you gonna help me shop or stand around talking to the hotties all day?" He yelled from the end of the aisle as he threw another can of food into the shopping cart.
Sebastian's cheeks instantly blushed crimson as he turned back to me.
"Ignore him, he is a big mouth and a royal pain in the ass." He sighed, rolling his eyes and shaking his head.
I giggled as I turned to face the young man who was running and jumping on the cart toward us childishly. He looked nothing like Sebastian so I was pretty sure that they weren't siblings. He was definitely a little older and had shoulder length dirty blonde hair.
"Hi ladies, I'm Erik, Sebastian's be- uh, best friend." He corrected while shooting Sebastian an apologetic look.
I quickly put my hand out to shake his, wondering if my body would tingle again, but nothing happened. I felt nothing.
"I'm Veronica and this is my baby sister Tessa," I said sweetly while wrapping my arm around her shoulder and giving him a gentle smile.
I could see that Tessa was flustered. Her cheeks were bright pink and for the first time in her life, she was speechless. I looked at Sebastian with a questioning look as he put his hand on Tessa’s shoulder.
"Tessa, are you okay?" Sebastian asked. I could almost hear a brotherly concern escape from his lips.
She quickly shook her head up and down and shot me a look with big eyes. “Hurry up!” Her eyes pleaded. “I want to leave right now!”
"It was very nice meeting you both, but if you will excuse us we need to finish up and get home." I stated abruptly, as I grabbed Tessa's hand and pulled her to the cart.
I hoped Sebastian didn't think I was trying to get rid of him. I would have loved to just stand there and stare at him all night.
Before we could even leave the aisle, the boys were right behind us whispering amongst themselves. As we made a quick left, they turned right. The need to look at him one more time pulled my eyes to him like a magnet, only to see him do the same. It felt as if time had stood still. Our eyes firmly locked onto one another, taking in the full essence of our souls, before our connection was severed by the mere reality in which we lived.
This boy was going to be the death of me.
"I'll see you soon beautiful." He smiled, his perfect teeth beaming wickedly.
"I hope so." I sighed, as I sauntered away, regretting every step.
At that moment, I wanted so badly to run back to him and dive into his big, strong arms. Allow his lips to linger on mine, as his calloused hands caressed my body.
Blushing at the impure thoughts that crossed my mind, I couldn't help but turn around one last time, but he was gone.
