โWhat did you just DO?!โ Ethaniel screamed at Cameo. Tanner let out a long string of expletives and took a menacing step towards Cameo. He stood motionless for another second as the group at the end of the room began to leave. He tried to catch Infinityโs eye, but she refused to look at him. When they had disappeared, he turned to his army.ย
โI had to get my brother back, okay?โ His voice shook and it took everything he had not to burst into tears. Colton stood confused behind his brother.
โWho was that girl?โ he asked innocently. Cameo clenched his fists and gritted his teeth. His body tensed, ready to fight, to hurt, to kill his way out. He stormed through his army, back to the secret passage, and fired his grappler. As soon as he reached the tunnel, he began running. Reaching the chandelier, he jumped, falling through the air. At the absolute last second, he shot his grappler, stopping himself inches above the ground. Dropping lightly on his feet, he ran out the still-open doors. Tears stung his eyes and clouded his vision. He tripped on the stairs, knees and hands scraping along the driveway. He put his forehead on the ground, tears flowing unhindered, sobs wracking his chest.
