Cameo placed a hand on Infinity’s back. She smiled, thinking that their heartache would soon be at an end. She glanced up at him, but he stood unblinking, staring at the man at the end of the room.
“Good, young man. I see you’ve chosen the best path.” The old man smiled. “Now give her to me.”
“Cameo, what is he talking about?” Infinity whispered.
Suddenly Cameo pushed her forward. She stumbled but stayed on her feet.
“I brought her,” Cameo said, voice trembling and breaking. “Give me back my brother.”
Jaiden nodded to his guards. They uncuffed the young boy, then strolled over to Infinity and grabbed her arms.
She jerked away and ran over to Cameo. She stood in front of him, but he refused to look at her. She placed her hand on his arm, right on his wound, and squeezed. He grimaced, but didn’t move. She stood up on tiptoe and pressed a kiss onto the cut on his chin.
“Fine, Cameo. It’s fine. I know how important family is. Your brother should be placed over the girl who has spent nearly every waking moment with you, the one who has nursed you through mental illness, infection, and two murders. I can totally understand your decision.” With that, she turned and walked away, back to the guards, who tried to grab her again, but she shook them off and continued her course with her head high, refusing to be weak.
Colton ran over to his brother, tears streaming down his face.
“You came for me!” he exclaimed, throwing his hands around Cameo’s neck.
“Yeah,” he said, motionless, staring at Infinity with only utter desperation portrayed on his handsome features.“I did."210Please respect copyright.PENANAFz1SiINO4g
