and can we just please take a moment to appreciate just how symbolic this page is?; A;

We have Sasuke actually making himself questions non-pertaining to revenge for the first time since forever; and the last one he utters is a very significant one: “What am I…?” and right afterward, as if on cue, Suigetsu and Juugo break through the ceiling of the cave—thus making an opening for light to enter the darkness the cave and Sasuke were submerged in—and say “Found you!”
It’s like a direct reply to Sasuke’s question, one that coupled with the light/darkness play makes this page a very symbolic one—meaning, it’s probably a nice foreshadowing of the role Taka will be playing in Sasuke’s new quest, and the aid they will provide him with.
And that takes me to another point. Meaning, just how far Taka has come as a Team. I know this not explicitly SasuKarin, but considering they are part of this awesome and often under-appreciated team, I couldn’t help but to want to give our (awesome’s and mine’s) favorite Team some love in this blog, too.

I think there are probably enough posts out there focusing on Sasuke’s side of the Team, so I’ll try to keep this focused on Suigetsu, Karin and Juugo instead.
As we all know, while each and every one of them joined the team out of their own volition, they didn’t do so without their own personal motives; Karin did it because of her feelings for Sasuke, Suigetsu because he wanted Kisame’s Samehada and Juugo due to Kimimaro and what Sasuke’s existence had meant to him.
As such, Karin didn’t particularly care whether Suigetsu or Juugo were there or not (in fact, all the better for her if they weren’t), Suigetsu was there because the ride was a convenient way to fulfill his own agenda and Juugo was there for Sasuke.
So what kept them all together was Sasuke himself and what his presence signified to each one of them.
Yet, we slowly start to see how a camaraderie begins to grow between them—a camaraderie that becomes care, and then grows into a bond that extends to all parts of the Team, tying them together.
I won’t bore you with lengthy ramblings and descriptions and will instead let the panels illustrate this themselves because they’re worth a thousand words;~;
They went from that ‘I’m-in-this-team-for-my-own-reasons’ beginning to this.

It doesn’t mean Suigetsu and Karin bicker any less, of course, or that they’re willing to admit that they care:

But Juugo puts it like it is: they have become Nakama.

A statement to which neither of the two (nor Sasuke) can disagree to because it’s true.
The fact that they have bonded is effectively proven the moment Sasuke, who used to be what tied them together, undergoes a 180º change and turns his back on them—and yet the team does not break.

^ notice how Karin is alone with Sasuke—which is what she wanted from the get-go, and yet the very first thing she does is show hesitancy to leave Suigetsu and Juugo behind.
For his part, Suigetsu admits that there is a particular side of the team dynamic that he greatly enjoys:

And while despite that, he may claim he ’doesn’t like any of them’, what does he tell Sasuke about the scroll?

He brought it to Sasuke so that Taka can rule the Shinobi world. Together. As a Team.
Be it ’Hebi’ or ’Taka’, that name does no longer simply represents the three people Sasuke grouped together to help fulfill his goal, and neither does it solely entail a 'means to an end’ for those three—it symbolizes the bond that formed between them. One that is utterly functional in all its dysfunctional glory, and a bond they will have to remind Sasuke of.
It’s a role reversal, in a way; whereas it was Sasuke who first united them, it’s now up to the three of them to unify Taka again.
