"Whatever you do, don't let Apollo come near." Zeus said while looking at a bed, shock filled within his eyes.
"But sir..." A Nymph gave the God of Gods' sympathetic eyes.
"I order it! Do not let him see!" Zeus snapped his fingers at the Nymph. The Nymph quickly hushed her questioning.
Meanwhile, Hiatum started craving something- the crave of death. Sensing the goddesses' 'death', she quickly put her act on.
"Oh, Hiatum!" Hestia smiled catty at the black-haired girl.
"Hello, there!" Hiatum returned Hestia's smile, being more cheerful than usual. She shifted her blanket so it wouldn't fall off.
Hestia put two fingers on her lips, thoroughly examining Hiatum. "My, my. You shouldn't wear such cruel clothing like that! Are you perhaps wearing...a carpet...?" She asked, tilting her head.
Hiatum snickered. "Not a carpet at all, I'm afraid. Hades and Hecate classified it as a blanket." She responded.
Hestia let out a heart-warming smile. This caused Hiatum's heart to throb.
"Oh dear. That does sound like Hades, and Hecate getting carpets and blankets mixed up. Maybe I can lend you some clothes!" The kindly goddess offered.
Hiatum nodded in response. "Yes, that would be great indeed."
Grabbing Hiatum's hand, Hestia let out a trivial beam. She guided Hiatum up plenty of purely white steps. Rooms neatly lined up the sides, most with interesting patterns above the doors, or even on the doors. Hestia stopped at the last door on the right. Above the door were tiny stick figures holding hands. It was suitable to Hestia, since she was the goddess of lots things, such as the hearth, home, architecture, domesticity, family, and state.
"Well, here we are!" Hestia opened the door. She crossed her arms in delight, loving her own room she stayed at when visiting Olympus.
Hiatum followed Hestia into the room, closing the door behind her.
"A marvelous place indeed." Hiatum complimented and smiled.
Lights weren't even needed in the room. It was in an oval shape, with beautiful light blue marble flooring. A closet was equipped on the side, obviously with dark wood as the door. Windows made sharp turns, bringing in natural light, ringing all around the room in a perfect line. It wasn't very bright, only bright enough to see, since nightfall started setting in.
"Come! Sit."Hestia was sitting on the couch. She patted the seat next to her, beckoning Hiatum to come over.
Hiatum didn't reject, she just simply did as Hestia demanded.
As Hiatum sat down in the leather chair, Hestia got up and skipped to her closet mirthfully.
Hiatum pulled her hand out from beneath the carpet while Hestia's back was turned.
The God quickly made twelve weapons-- although they seemed like everyday items.
Hestia turned around, and in the blink of an eye, the 'weapons' were gone.
"Here! I chose some!" Hestia chirped cutely.
Hiatum nodded, heart throbbing still. "Thank you. Can I see them?"
Hestia was so distracting to Hiatum.
Albeit Hiatum seemed like a female, she was still Tartarus, a male inside.
Hestia agreed by walking over to Hiatum. She handed the clothes over easily.
It was a simple outfit, a dark purple dress that almost seemed black, with grey gloves that went up to the elbow, and gray stockings. The boots were dark purple as well, with under-guards white.
"Thank you." Hiatum said once again, very genuinely.
Hestia nodded, and sat on a couch nearby. Hiatum didn't waste anytime. She dropped her 'blanket' and placed her clothes on.
Hestia clapped her hands together when Hiatum was finished. "You look adorable!" She complimented, "Now let me do your hair."
Hiatum plopped down on the couch next to her, not saying a word.
"Now, what's this?" Hestia dug through Hiatum's hair thoroughly, like a monkey cleaning its fur, "There seems to be dried liquid in your hair."
Hiatum shivered. The ichor and other blood that had dripped down from her cave was still in her hair. "It's only paint, miss." Hiatum lied.
Hestia nodded. "It seems that way." She picked at all of the dried up types of blood.
All was in silence, and Hestia finally got the blood and ichor out. She took the time to braid Hiatum's long, wire-like hair. Hestia quickly finished by putting purple ribbons on the end, and beginning of the braids to hold the hair in place.
"There!" She admired her work greatly.
"Thank you once again." Hiatum smiled, pulling out her 'weapon' she made earlier. "This is for you- as thanks"
The 'weapons' were two pearl earrings. Yep. Weapons they are.
Hestia looked at the earrings. "How did you do that?" She queried.
"I learned some mortal magic." Hiatum lied again. She actually used the ichor and mortal blood Hestia pulled out of her hair to make the items. Free labor.
"Amazing! Simply brilliant!" Hestia clapped. She took the earrings, placing them neatly in her ears.
"Do you wish to have something?" Hestia asked, believing the earrings were far too beautiful to pass with only clothes and decorative hair.
"Merely a pen, miss." Hiatum pointed to a vase full of pens on a nightstand.
"You may take one."
Hiatum got up, and took a black pen from a gray vase.
"Thank you. I'll be leaving now." She opened the door as Hestia waved goodbye. Hiatum opened the door, and once out, closed it.
Hiatum rolled up her sleeve, and wrote, 'Hestia. PE. Saved.' On her arm with the pen. It quickly turned invisible, and Hiatum pulled her sleeve down. Licking her lips devilishly, Hiatum's eyes quickly flashed red, but appeared to their original color again.
Hiatum started walking down the hallway. Yeah, she was completely ignoring Zeus' rule to live with the mortals. She became sidetracked momentarily. However, Hiatum wasn't going to completely reject the idea. Mortals were annoying, and bred like rats, but they were also pretty quirky. Although she was only going to spend some time with specific mortals. For plans, more precisely.
Hiatum strolled down the hallway, not paying attention to anyone or anything. Suddenly, she hit someone who seemed not to be paying attention while walking as well.
"Excuse me." Hiatum looked up at the lady she had happened to bump into by accident.
The lady was beautiful...well, every immortal deity is beautiful. Having brown hair the ended at her breastbone, her eyes were accented with crystal blue eyes. Only eyes fit to a powerful person. They were far more beautiful than any other blue. However, the woman's face was completely red, with tears dripping down her face in no specific order.
"It is fine." She rubbed her hands under her eyes.
Hiatum seemed curious. Her divergent gaze shattered towards the woman.
"Who are you? Your name, please, my fair lady. I am Hiatum, goddess born from Tartarus." Hiatum introduced herself formally, bowing and everything.
The woman let out a small smile, that was obviously fake. "My name is Leto, for I am the sister of falling stars, and the daughter of Supreme Intelligence and Smarts." She responded.
Hiatum was now careful to chose her words. Hiatum needed both of Leto's children for her plan, and most likely Leto herself.
"It is simply a pleasure to meet you." Hiatum stood up straight from her bow. "May I ask you, what is bothering you so?"
Leto did not look pleased about the question. Hiatum shrank back inside, always being the type that wasn't familiar with female deities as other gods would be. Goddesses held supreme power, giving birth to the most powerful, having the greatest of divine powers. Hiatum was still Tartarus, still a male, only hidden under the skin of a dead female mortal.
"A child of mine has 'died'...my first. We believed it was impossible, but we seem to stand incorrect." Leto told Hiatum.
Hiatum nodded sympathetically. Only knowing Nyx and Gaia as female deities, Hiatum was yet to understand others.
"Well then, please allow me to set up a ritual for your child." Hiatum spoke firmly.
Leto nodded, pointing down the hall end Hestia led Hiatum before. "The ninth room, on the right." She informed Hiatum.
"Thank you, fair lady Leto. I shall grieve alongside you, and I wish you and your other child the best." Hiatum bowed one last time and started down the hall. Leto was very confused...how did Hiatum know about her other child? Were her and her children that well known?
Plenty of questions ran through her head, although they will be answered in due time.
Now knowing the final place her next target lay rest, Hiatum had a grim smile plastered on her face, obviously determined and wicked.
Hiatum now rode down the hallway as if it was a horse. She skipped, more precisely. Her excitement was clearly taking over, for the one she seeks was no other than Leto's first child.
Hiatum finally arrived at her first destination. She creaked open the pine door, noticing huge windows around the room replacing the walls. It had a fabulous look of below, were the mortals seemed to scatter across the Earth.
A bed lay in the center of the room, where a girl lay, now for eternity.
And who laid on the bed, you ask...? Well, no other than Artemis, goddess of Silver Arrows.
