"Good morning," I smile at Katya after finding her in the kitchen preparing breakfast. She has always been a cooking professional, while I was never interested in that.
"Denis told me you wanted to talk to me yesterday," I recalled our conversation last night, and she smiled.
"Just don't go crazy, please, after I tell you this," she looked at me pleadingly, so I already had a hunch.
"Are you two together?" I interrupted her, asking a very direct question.
"Yeah," she smiled shyly, waiting for my response.
"Good luck," I say briefly, not even knowing exactly how to act in this situation. I have no right to complain about them being together when I am already with Fedya.
"Are we okay?" She asked skeptically, which made me sincerely laugh.
"Of course we are. It's solely your business, and no one has the right to interfere." I let her know that I really don't mind, so I notice how a smile shines on her face.
"Did you hear, Dan?" I realize that my brother is leaning against the door and observing us.
"I did. Somebody finally started acting like an adult?" He starts teasing me, which makes me roll my eyes.
"She grew up a long time ago. You were in Spain, so you couldn't really notice that." Fedya winked at him after he also appeared in the kitchen.
"It's important that you know everything," Dan replied with a smile, but this all sounds not so funny. Moreover, there was a small dose of impatience in his voice.
"I need you. I forgot to give you something back." I point to Fedya to follow me to my room, and he starts whining.
"But I just came down. And I'm terribly hungry. Katya, will it be ready soon?" He turned to her, which made me sigh in frustration. Don't this moron understand why I'm calling him up?
"In about ten minutes."
"Enough that I give you what I owe you," I dragged him with me, so he couldn't reject me.
"And what do you even owe me?" He asks, baffled after we're already in my room.
I wrap my arms around his neck and combine our lips in a deep kiss.
"This," I smile after moving away from him, and he first looks at me in surprise as if he doesn't believe it, then starts laughing.
"How did I earn this?" He asks jokingly, and I act as lost in thoughts.
"Because you're so incredible," I answered with a smile, after acting to think for a long time. I notice that Fedya is chuckling too.
"Let me ask you something. Why does it seem like you and Dan are in some kind of conflict?" I ask curiously, which immediately makes him serious.
"It doesn't actually matter," he says, lowering his lips to mine again, avoiding answering the question.
"You know that doesn't work with me," I added after we parted ways, causing him to roll his eyes.
"Your brother is a jerk. Enough?" Contrary to my nature, I say yes, not wanting to put too much pressure on him.
"Where did you and I stop?", He smiles and tries to kiss me again.
"Didn't you say you were hungry?" I blurt out, causing him to laugh.
"I'm starving for you."
•Denis's pov•
"What was that?" Katya glanced at me, baffled, and I acted dumb.
"What do you mean?"
"That intolerance towards Fedya?" She asks again, to which I sigh.
I love him like a brother, but some boundaries must exist.
"I'm used to Vika lying to me. But that my best buddy lies to me, I'm not," I explain briefly, and Katya seems even more confused than before.
"What do you mean by that?"
"Didn't you notice that something is going on between the two of them?" I asked her seriously, so I got a chance to see the smile on her face.
"And here I thought I was the only one who saw some chemistry between the two of them. They are so cute." I look at her as if she is insane while she talks excitedly.
"I'll smash his head," I mutter, but yet Katya hears. She always hears everything.
"Calm down, Dan. There is nothing between them. If something had happened, Vika would have told me right away. She didn't even want to admit that she liked him, but I managed to get it out of her," she chuckled, and the tension eased.
"I knew exactly that all the stupidity always comes from her." Her whole life, she just keeps getting into trouble.
"Excuse me, but what precisely is nonsense here? He takes care of her all her life, he is always there for her, and he is also handsome and clever. What's there to don't like?" She frowns at me, and I surrender because I can't argue with her.
"Is that breakfast ready?" I change the subject, and Katya, rolling her eyes, decides to give me a break this time.
"Yes," I help her set the table because these two still didn't get down.
"What is taking them so long?" The nervousness increases again since they have been upstairs alone for a long time.
"Should I go call them?" I asked again and noticed that I was gradually getting on her nerves.
"You don't have to," Vika replied after finally appearing on the ground floor.
"I'm sorry, Katya, I'm sure you cook amazing, but the two of us will have breakfast in town." Fedya apologized to her with a slight smile and left the house. Vika followed him, but I stopped her with a quick movement of my hand.
"What the hell, where are you two going?" I look at her confused, already a little annoyed by their frequent separation. The two of them spend too much time together unattended.
"Are you maybe deaf? To the city." She frowned at me, and nothing was clear to me anymore.
"What the hell is wrong with you now, Vika?"
"Why do you believe you have the right to interfere in my life so much? I'm not Fedya. I will not act as if everything is normal just because I do not want to quarrel with you." It became apparent to me that he told her everything about our talk.
Fuck, Fedya, since when an ordinary conversation can't stay between the two of us?
