Alice Hughes’ POV
I don’t know how long have I been here, in emptiness, a void, a very dark void. I was alone as I looked around myself for the first time after that entity controlled my body.
‘Hello?’ I shouted but only echoes of my voice can be heard. I was alone in the dark, I was scared until a light came through the void. I blocked my eyes as I cannot control its brightness.
‘Hello?’ I asked again before the light shut down.
‘Hello, Alice,’ a familiar voice was coming into my mind. I moved my hands as I looked at the person that was shining in blue light.
‘Connor?’ I asked as I don’t think that I would ever see him again after that traumatic experience.
‘where are we?’ I asked him as he was getting closer and closer toward me. He took my hands and I was looking deeply into his eyes.
‘don’t worry, my love, everything will be fine,’ he said as he was smiling at me. My heart was relieved. At least, I have someone to talk to.
‘where are we anyway?’ I asked that question again. Connor chuckled at me. If he did not know me any better, he better answered me.
‘well, we’re in the, what the monsters said, VOID,’ he looked at me as I was looking at him.
‘huh. Never heard such thing,’ I said as I just stared at the darkness that was surrounding me.
‘well, when a witch or warlock took over the host’s body, their mind will control their actions and their appearance changed. You and I were the hosts to the two most powerful witch and warlock. Mine was Clive Thompson, he was an Ice warlock that came from the great kingdom of Crystal and yours was Abigail Hayes. The Fire witch that came from the kingdom of Ardor. They were trying to fight an ancient, evil spirit that they failed to kill 500 years ago,’ Connor explained as he was staring into the nothingness as I was.
‘so, are you saying is that our body was controlled by someone else?’ I asked him as my mind cannot be comprehended what he just said.
‘more or less like that. but, don’t you worry. We’re in good hands. They will make sure that nothing will happen to our body,’ he said as he held my hand for reassurance.
‘i hope,’ he mumbled.
‘so, what can damage our body and maybe, we could trap here forever?’ I asked him as I don’t want to an entity that existed but doesn’t exist. He sighed.
‘i’m not sure. Clive said that if he was about to die, he will immediately take off to the spirit world, where I first summoned him,’ he said as he was looking at me. Those red eyes were seeing a sad memory and he only showed it to me. I inhaled.
‘well, I hope that they will just do fine with that evil killing and all,’ I said as I was trying to cheer him up. He smiled at me before he kissed me on the lips. I blushed.
‘i hope so too, my love, I hope so too,’ he said as he leaned my head on his shoulder as we were sitting in the darkness or the VOID as they called it.
Cornelia Hayes’ POV
‘damn it! I cannot break out,’ I mumbled to myself as I was trying to break out of the cell using my fire magic. It did not work. How could mother left me here and hurt my cousin! I know I have loathed my cousin but that has been an old history between us. I don’t think I can be under my mother’s control anymore.
ever since I was little, I have been trained to loathe my cousin for she was the true heir of the Irish Fire, the ultimate power of a witch in the Hayes’ generations ever since we have founded our house.
‘come on, come on, just burn already,’ I said as I was burning the keyhole but it did not budge at all. I sighed before I went to lean on the wall using my forehead. I was closing my eyes as I was trying to figure out to get to my mother before she killed my cousin.
‘Think, Cornelia, think,’ I said as I was trying to cast a pentagram by my hand. accidentally, I turned the wrong point and it was making a different spell. I gasped as I was seeing the first time the door of darkness was forming in front of me.
‘La Porte de Ténèbres,’ i whispered before a figure was coming out of the door. Its dark energy was overwhelming that I have to shield myself. I did not know what I was doing before a hand was offered to me.
‘May I help you, my love?’ A velvety voice was coming into my eardrums. instantly, I looked up to the face that belongs to that voice. I was mesmerized.
his skin was pale as porcelain, his tousled blond hair, his high cheekbones, his chiseled jaws, and his perfect, kissable lips. I was drawn to that before he cleared his throat and I went to look at his eyes. His eyes were different from anyone else that I have looked at. It was not like my husband’s blue eyes. He was more like the younger brother of my husband, the red rubies, were what I called them.
‘so, you called me?’ He asked me after I was on my feet again. I dusted off some dirt from my butt before I answered him.
‘sorry, I did a mistake in my spell and everything messed up. I mean, not you, of course, you’re so sexy and gorgeous that I’m sure it was not a mistake. Wait what?’ I said as I was blushing hard. He looked at me intensely before chuckled at me. I smiled at him before rubbing my neck.
‘well, in that case, you might as well use the service that I can offer. Surely there was something that I can do for you?’ He asked me as he arched his eyebrow at me. I was looking around as I don’t want to look at his eyes. It drew me like a moth to a flame.
‘well, if that’s what you can do, is there any price that I have to pay?’ I asked him before I made my mind to use his service. He chuckled at me.
‘we discuss it after we finish with your wish. It depends on how heavy or how difficult it was,’ he said as he was looking at me, waiting for me making my answer.
‘very well then,’ I said as I made up my mind to use his service. He smirked at me.
‘okay, shall we?’ He said as he was coming closer and closer at me. I was hitting the wall before he pulled me into his arms.
‘i already know what you wished for,’ he said before he claimed my mouth. I gasped as I was shocked by his action and with that, we were gone from that cell.
Clive Thompson’s POV
I was trying to get out of the telekinesis power that Mona has cast on me. I cannot move much as Abigail was avoiding her attacks now and then.
‘Abigail, behind you,’ I said as I was trying to help her as much as I can. Abigail as she heeds my warning, avoided the trees that Mona threw at her.
‘shut up, you fool,’ Mona said before she waved her hand and I cannot talk. I was writhing in her hold as I was trying to conjure my power in my mind.
‘please, please, please,’ I thought as I was trying to chant some Icy spells to trap Mona or maybe protect Abigail from her attack.
‘Argh!’ Mona screamed when she was hit by icy needles that were coming from behind. I was happy but she waved her hand again and suddenly I was in a lot of pain again.
‘now you make me mad,’ she said before she floated in the air in front of me. I was being held by her magic, nonetheless. She was so powerful that I cannot even break free.
‘That’s enough, mother,’ a voice that I never thought I would eager to hear. It’s Cornelia!
‘darling, are you here to enjoy our revenge?’ Mona asked her as she was coming out into the open as I was suspended in the air and Abigail was unconscious on the ground.
‘here, I already save you the best part of our revenge,’ she said as she gave Cornelia a dagger that was glistening in the darkness. It has a red holder and the knife was so sharp and it has some engraving on it.
‘La Porte de Ténèbres,’ I mumbled as I looked at the engraving. My eyes went big as a saucer.
‘no, don’t you do it, Cornelia! I know you would never harm your cousin!’ I shouted before I was being hit a wave of telekinesis and my mind was being hit like a thousand hammer at once.
‘do it, do it now, my child and together, we will rule this realm,’ Mona said before she laughed wickedly. then, I sensed his presence. no, it can’t be!
‘well then, I guess it’s time to pay your debt to me, Mona,’ a voice that was coming from the sky. Lucifer was here!
‘You! How do you even find me?’ Mona was shocked at the presence of Lucifer. Lucifer went down to Cornelia’s side. Does that mean—
‘if you think what I think you’re thinking, Thompson, I swear I will not save you guys,’ Lucifer said as he looked at me. Mona looked at me as well as Cornelia.
‘What do you think I’m thinking?’ I said as I was trying to brush off those thoughts. Lucifer sighed.
‘right, where are we? oh, yes, your debt. You have been avoiding it since 1000 years ago, even before your daughter was born,’ he said as he was looking at Mona who was still airborne.
‘i don’t know what you’re talking about,’ she replied. Lucifer arched his eyebrow.
‘really? Maybe this will remind you then,’ he said before he waved his hand at Mona and suddenly her power was gone.
‘no, no, no! My powers! Give it back,’ Mona shouted as she recovered from her fall. Lucifer sighed before he waved his hand at Mona and suddenly Mona vanished.
‘Mother!’ Cornelia shouted as she was running toward her. thankfully, Lucifer stopped her.
‘What you do to her?!’ She asked Lucifer before I breathed normally.
‘thank you, my lord,’ I said as I bowed at him. He nodded before I went to Abigail to check her vitals. Thankfully, she was fine.
‘now, if you’re excused me, I have things to be done,’ Lucifer said before he vanished with Cornelia. By using my peripheral view, I saw Lucifer was kissing her. well, at least he got what he was promised by us. I scooped Abigail in my arms before I transformed into a dragon and went to Connor’s room. It was midnight so it will be less attention now.
‘hold on, my love, we will be there soon,’ I said before I went and flew toward my final destination.
