Alice Hughes’ POV
I could not argue with him because, oh, my, god! His kiss was so amazing that it turned my legs to jelly. I was moaning inside his mouth that get him smirked in the kiss.
‘i know you would love that,’ he whispered as he broke for a while before he kissed me again. I was trying to push him away but his powerful, magnetic aura was so strong that I have to make sure that I will not succumb to his kiss.
‘Just let me have you, please,’ he whispered as he nuzzled my neck. It was intoxicating that I don’t know what to do. I have to make sure that I don’t get too attached to this kiss or I might lose my mind. He broke the kiss before I was in a daze. He was smirking down on me as he readjusted my weight in his arms.
“see? That wasn’t so bad,’ he said before I wrapped around his neck with my legs and I smacked him to the floor.
‘ow!’ He shouted before I get away from him as soon as possible. I ran for the door before I was being trapped by him from behind.
‘nowhere to go, my love,’ he said as his hot breaths hit my neck. I shuddered but in a good way.
‘if you want to know me better, meet me at the cafeteria place at 8 PM tomorrow,’ he said before he got off from me and when I turned around, he was already gone. I sighed before I was sliding to the door and I don’t know what to do but cried because my first kiss has been stolen by that douche bag.
After an hour or so as I was just sitting there, useless and still, I wiped my tears and went to my room. I went inside the bathroom that I shared with Nora before looking at my red eyes. It was a bloody shot and for what? Just a first kiss that had been stolen by someone that I don’t even know about.
‘i will find you, you first kiss stealer,’ I said before I got out of the bathroom and went to my drawer beside my bed.
‘if you need any guidance or you have any worries, just consult this book, it will help you find your way, my dear,’ was the last thing that my grandma said to me. I don’t know why I felt like I had to look inside this book for once, especially now.
‘here’s goes nothing,’ I said before I looked inside the book. It must have been centuries old as the pages were yellow and most of the handwriting was from my ancestors’ that I don’t even know. After a few minutes of reading, I don’t understand anything that it wrote.
‘This is useless,’ I said as I put the book aside. I don’t know why I came to find this book in the first place when there must be a logical explanation for everything that has been done to me these past few days.
‘i need to consult with Nora, she might be know how to handle this kind of man,’ I said before I went to the bed and tried to close my eyes.
I was somewhere that I don’t know where I was. I was on cloud nine as I tried to look at around me. I don’t know what to say but just be in awe of everything that was floating around me. There were clouds and clouds to no end. suddenly, I dropped.
I was on the ground, there were monsters everywhere. I don’t know what to do as I just cowered in the corner of the building. Someone came to help me and before I know it, I was eaten by a wolf.
I startled as I was sweating profusely when I was in bed. I don’t know what to say but I was just breathing heavily as the dream was too real. I don’t know what I was doing at the time but when I looked at the clock, it was 3 AM. I don’t know why the wolf wanted to eat me? Was I related to the wolf or was I going to meet a wolf? How about the clouds and the hell that I went to? What’s all that about?
‘Alice, I’m home!’ Nora said before she went inside the house. She was tipsy and stumbled all over the room before I went to help her to get inside her bedroom.
‘hey, look! It’s Alice in wonderland, haha!’ She said she was hiccuping and she reeked with alcohol.
‘okay, sunshine, we need to get you into bed now,’ I said as I looked at her before I went to tuck her in.
‘you’re a nice girl, Alice, I’m sure that hunk will acknowledge you now and then,’ she mumbled before I sighed as I shook my head at her.
‘Yeah, and I hope that he will not bother me after all this. I made up my mind, I will never meet him again, not now, not ever,’ I said as I smiled before I went to get something from the kitchen. I don’t know why I was drawn to have some water like right now. So, I went.
‘Ah! What a nice drink!’ I said as I put the glass down. I was about to put it in the sink before I looked at the window and I saw him.
‘Jesus, mother lord!’ I shrieked before I turned around and there was no one to be found. Maybe it was just my imagination and I was too tired to think straight right now.
‘i need to sleep, like right now,’ I said as I looked at the window. I was delusional as I don’t know what to say. I laughed before I went to my bed again and I was so tired that I went to sleep again in no time.
Connor O’Sullivan’s POV
I looked at her peaceful face as she was sleeping soundly. I don’t know what to say as I cast an invisible spell over me. I don’t know what to do or say but just stared at her beautiful face.
‘well, it’s official, you’re in love,’ Clive said as I tried to shush him out.
‘don’t you forget what you made me do to her. It was humiliating!’ I said in my mind as I don’t want to wake them up. After all, Clive was only in my head.
‘of course, milord,’ he said before he shut up for a while and left me alone to enjoy the view of my soulmate.
I don’t have the chance to get to know her better since Ethan practically doesn’t want me to be straight forward. I sighed before I went to go back into my body.
I gasped as my astral projection took a lot of my energy. I stumbled to the ground as I was alone in my room. My sister, Ophelia, doesn’t want me to get hype as I was not used to having so much power at once. After I, I mean Clive, kissed her, I have unlocked a little bit of my power that was locked away by my father that he thought was too overwhelming for me.
‘brother, are you alright? My sense told me that you were losing energy,’ my sister knocked on my door as I was trying to get into bed. I grunted as I was trying to get up from my sleep.
‘what? no, I was sleeping Ophelia,’ I said as I tried to make voice sounded like I was just getting off from my dreamland.
‘Right, okay, sorry. I let you go to sleep,’ she said before her footsteps faded from here. I sighed before I laid back on the mattress. I looked at the ceiling and it was empty just like my soul.
‘i hope you will accept me soon, Alice. The stake of the world depends on you,’ I said before I closed my eyes and I drifted to sleep.
The next morning, I felt much alive. I don’t know what happened but I glad that I can finally enjoy my peaceful morning without nightmares to haunt me.
‘woah! You looked hyped today. Anything new to your mood gear?’ Luke asked me before I took my seat at the table. I was about to meet Alice tonight if she decided to meet me. I don’t know what to expect but hope that she will make it.
‘well, as charming as you might be, like, I don’t think I need to tell you everything,’ I said as I looked at him. He was smirking at me before Ophelia made my breakfast appeared in front of me on the table.
‘Thanks, sis,’ I said as I went to dig in. gosh, last night did make me felt hungry after all.
‘woah! Slow down. No one will take your food away,’ she said before she went to work on the chores. well, her power made it for her.
‘well, I’m glad you have an appetite today since I got rumors you have been lurking around your soulmate’s apartment,’ she said as she looked sternly at me. I stopped in my track before Ethan and Luke stood up from the table.
‘well, that’s our cue to leave,’ Ethan said before they went to the door. I put the fork down as I wiped my mouth with a napkin.
‘you told me you will never do that again. At 3 AM to add on that action of yours,’ Ophelia said as she looked at me sternly. She crossed her arms before sighing.
‘i’m sorry. I just can’t help myself. I was drawn to her like a moth to the flame. You know how it felt right?’ I asked her as I wasn’t the only one that was feeling the fire. She blushed before clearing her throat.
‘right but I don’t have to sneak around to get their attention. Patient, brother. She will understand eventually in time,’ she said as she touched my hand.
‘and what if she doesn’t?’ I asked her. Ophelia was silent before I sighed.
‘it’s late, I should get to my work,’ I said before I went to put the napkin on the table and got out of the kitchen before I went to my study room.
