Alice Hughes’ POV
After the disaster of that night, about that party, and the stranger that came to save my life, and my virginity, I cannot help myself but wondered if I would ever see him again.
‘earth to Alice, hello?!’ Nora’s voice came inside my head when I was daydreaming. I did not even notice that the midterm was over for now.
‘what are you so into the cloud nine? Thinking about that gorgeous specimen, aren’t you?’ She asked as she elbowed me. I rolled my eyes at her.
‘no, I have better things to do than anything else. Especially thinking about that douche bag,’ I said as I was getting up from my seat before I hit someone.
‘Sorry,’ was my instant word coming out of my mouth when I did something wrong, even I was not in the wrong. It’s just a force of habit.
‘woah, you better watch out where you going, sweetheart,’ said the voice that coming from my head. I looked up instantly as his voice was magnetic to be ignored. I saw the most golden eyes that I ever encountered. He was smiling before I turned away from his face as I was staring too long. He chuckled at my reaction.
‘Sorry,’ I mumbled as I gave space for him to past through.
‘no worries, I was the wrong one,’ he said before someone was calling after him.
‘Ethan! Come on, we don’t have all day,’ that voice was starting to haunt me. When I turned toward the front door, he was there.
‘coming!’ Ethan said before he turned to look at me again. This time, he smiled.
‘Sorry, I got to go now. Connor was calling after me, I believed that he already met you, yes?’ He asked before I stammered to find an answer.
‘oh my, I’m sorry. My friend doesn’t usually talk to a stranger,’ Nora said as she took my hand and was looking furiously at Ethan. He smiled before he stared at my friend.
‘of course, where are my manners? My name is Ethan and you are?’ He said as he took Nora’s hand and she instantly blushed.
‘None of your business. now, if you excuse me, we need to go,’ Nora said before we exited through the back door. I saw that Connor was looking in my direction as I know that stare everywhere.
‘what’s with you and all the guys that you meet? Why can’t I be so lucky as you?’ She asked before I laughed at her.
‘i don’t think that you understand I don’t like them getting in my way. They are way too annoying,’ I said as I went to hold my backpack steadily. Nora then stopped in her steps as I looked at her.
‘what’s wrong?’ I asked her before looking in the same direction as hers. James.
‘come on, you need to get a move on. I’m sure someone would be interested in you,’ I said before I dragged her out of the hallway and out of the building.
‘so, what for lunch?’ I asked her before she smiled at me wickedly.
‘something that you’ll definitely like,’ Nora said before she pulled me into the direction of the cafeteria that she was about to introduce to me.
‘Ta-da!’ Nora shouted as we were standing in front of the Vintage Kitchen. I was staring at the sign of the restaurant. Serving authentic Ireland cuisine.
‘i don’t feel like it today. Can we eat something else?’ I pleaded to Nora before she went inside.
‘nope,’ she said with extra pronunciation on the ‘p’. I sighed before I went inside the restaurant as well.
‘good afternoon, table for two?’ The hostess asked us. Nora nodded at her before we went to the table.
‘i’ll be your waitress for today,’ someone came after the hostess left us.
‘my name is Annabelle and if you need anything, just ask for me,’ she said before she looked at us and leave us for a moment to look at the menu.
‘hmm, I don’t know what to get. Everything looks great,’ Nora said as she was laughing at the menu.
‘right and I like Irish food,’ I said sarcastically before she glared at me. I rolled my eyes before I just settled for Irish stew that was perfect for me as I don’t have any feeling for eating.
‘Oh come on, that’s you want? Are you sure you don’t want anything else? My treat for saving me last night,’ Nora said as she looked at me. I shook my head before I looked outside the window as Nora was chatting with Annabelle and placed our order.
‘what do you want for a drink?’ Nora asked me.
‘anything. I don’t care. You pick,’ I said as I was sighing with the weather was starting to rain.
‘oh my, it’s quite rainy these days,’ the waitress said before she went to get our orders done.
‘do you want to talk about what happened that night?’ Nora finally asked me after a few minutes of silence between us. I felt like I don’t want to talk about it but I know if I don’t tell her sooner or later, she would eventually find out about it again.
‘fine, fine, you win. I’ll tell you,’ I said as I was surrendering to Nora before she popped her hands on the table and rested her face between them.
‘okay, tell me, and I want details,’ she said before I sighed and chuckled and told her what happened.
Connor O’Sullivan’s POV
‘Argh!’ I screamed as I was dropping to the floor when I reached my room. I don’t know what came over me but the feeling, the pain, it was too strong. I don’t know what to do but to ring for my sister.
‘sister! I need you! Argh!’ I shouted as I don’t know what to do. I was gasping like a fish that was running out of hair. I need to let this pain subdued or I will face the consequences of these pain.
‘oh my god! Connor!,’ my sister came to my side as I was trying to control the pain. I was grunting, tossing and turning as I don’t know what to do.
‘hang on. Connor. Take a deep breath,’ she said as she looked at me.
‘easy for you to say that!’ I shouted at her as I don’t know what to say.
‘Argh!’ I shouted again as I was pushing my hands onto my head to control it.
‘what’s wrong?’ Luke’s voice coming inside my eardrum. Great, now everyone knows that I was shouting at the top of my lungs.
‘i don’t know. He was like this when he came home. I think it has to do something with his soulmate and all,’ my sister explained and when she mentioned my soulmate, my mind rewind back to the moment when Ethan was trying to introduce himself to her. I was feeling angry that I shouted across the hall to get his butt to my side.
when she was about to leave, she looked at me as I was the most precious thing ever and I don’t know what I can do if she made that face again to me.
‘Connor? Connor! Control it, Connor. Don’t let it control you!’ My sister’s voice was fading as I succumbed to the darkness and I know Clive was controlling my body now.
‘step aside, sister, if you don’t wish to get hurt,’ Clive said through my voice as I was looking into my own eyes but my mind was completely elsewhere.
‘Look, Clive, you cannot do this. She was not ready to get involved. We need to make it as subtle as possible for her,’ my sister tried to reason with him but he scoffed.
‘and let that girl took control of our power? no, I will not allow it,’ he said before my sister’s face and Luke’s was gone out of my sight. I was in an unfamiliar place as I was looking around, I was at someone’s apartment. I can hear someone was talking before a door was slammed.
‘see you later,’ that girl’s voice was coming from the other room. I don’t know where we were but what Clive did next was very unexpected and unprofessional of me.
Alice Hughes’ POV
‘see you later,’ I said to Nora as she had to go somewhere to meet with her lab partners to do something about a project that she had to submit tomorrow.
‘Well, hello there,’ a voice was coming from my behind. I gasped as I turned around as I saw that guy from the cemetery was standing in my apartment.
‘what are you doing here? I don’t remember you coming in,’ I said as I moved back from him. He might be a serial killer for all I know.
‘it’s okay, you can trust me. I’m not going to kill you,’ he said as he tried to get to me.
‘no, stay away from me,’ I said as I was trying to put some distance between us. Frankly, he listened to me like an obedient dog. I was breathing heavily before I calmed myself.
‘how do you get in here?’ I asked him. He pointed at the closet. I arched my eyebrow at him.
‘really? You think this is a joke?!’ I exclaimed at him before he smirked at me.
‘believe me, love, there’s a lot of things that you don’t know about me,’ he said before he waved his hand at me. I was flying through mid-air as my eyes get big as saucer before he scooped me in his arms.
‘and this, you would not believe it either,’ he said before he kissed me on the lips.
