Connor O’Sullivan’s POV
When you were born into this madness world, you never heard the L-word. At least, not in the way that I was raised in. I was born in the Monster Realm when all mattered was who was at the top of the food chain.
The only rule that I have stuck to my whole life was you be strong or be eliminated. After hearing what she said, all my toughness of my strength was crumbling.
I let Alice has her share of sleep as I can see that I had exhausted her. When she was asking the question that I have shared my bed with, I lied to her. It was her first time. I don’t want to ruin the fact that I had been with a lot of women when I was younger. I was not proud of my past but it was my past, nonetheless.
‘Huh,’ I sighed as I was looking outside the room. I was standing at the window, staring at the lively night of the Monster Realm. Every day was just like Halloween. I looked at the monsters that were roaming the street as I heard some grumbling on the bed.
Alice was tossing and turning as she was sweating furiously. I went to her side as I put down my Champagne glass and went to bed.
‘Alice, Alice, hey, wake up, my love,’ I said as I was trying to make sure that she was alright. She was writhing as her forehead was abundant with sweats.
‘no, getaway. stop, please,’ she said as I was trying to contact Clive.
‘What is it?’ He asked as I was talking with him.
‘What’s wrong with her? I don’t know what to do,’ I said as I was trying to ask for a cure so that she would stop having a nightmare.
‘it was the bond. After you claimed her, she will have a transformation to reveal who she is. She was having some identity crisis as she was receiving her power. relax, nothing will hurt her,’ Clive said before he was silent. I sighed before I was about to wake Alice up, something happened.
‘Argh!’ I shouted as I was flying across the room. I was being shot by Alice as she was floating above the bed.
‘What the?’ I exclaimed as I looked at her. She was opening her eyes but it was not amber orbs, it was red as rubies. Her hair was like fire as the black was changing into red hair.
‘Hello, Clive,’ she said but her voice was overlapped with something else. Abigail.
‘so,’ she said as she went to step on the ground.
‘This is where you’ve been hiding for the past years. That’s why I don’t find you anywhere,’ she said as she went to take my champagne glass and drink it all. She chuckled darkly.
‘well, well, champagne. What a nice touch,’ she said as I was trying to escape from here. I inched toward the door before I felt like I was being held by an invisible power.
‘oh, I’m sorry did I say that you can leave?’ She asked me before I was slammed toward the wall. I was being held by her power. She turned around and floated toward me.
‘i would like to sit and chat but obviously, you are not him. now, call him out like a good boy or your sweetheart will suffer the consequences,’ she said as she smashed the glass and brought it to Alice’s neck.
‘if she dies, you die with her,’ I said before her ruby orbs were glistening with fire.
‘oh? then, I suppose Clive will die if you die,’ she said wickedly before she went to pursue the broken glass into my stomach. I was closing my eyes before a voice came at me.
‘let me control you,’ Clive said as I can feel that I was slowly slipping into darkness.
‘protect her,’ I said one last time before I was out of my own body, into a paralyzed state.
Clive the Warlock’s POV
‘that’s enough, Abigail,’ I said as I took her hand from pushing the glass into the stomach. I don’t think I can feel the senses anymore. I opened my eyes and I looked into Abigail’s unmistaken red eyes.
‘it’s about time you show up, my love,’ she said as she pushed me even more onto the wall. I grunted as my hands and feet were sinking into the wall. I was looking at her when she was floating in front of me.
‘Aw, are you hurt, my love? I guess I have to make it even better than that,’ she said as she will me to feel pain in my head. I was grunting and screaming as I was trying to surpass her power.
‘A…bi…gail…you don’t have to be…like this. No more, please,’ I said as I was begging for her to stop me. All of a sudden, I was dropped to the floor as I was coughing and blood was spewing out of my mouth.
‘well, isn’t that a little better,’ she said as she waved her hand and I was standing, more like floating, in front of him.
‘Abigail,’ I said.
‘Shut your crap, Clive,’ she said before she smacked me on the wall again. I grunted as I was hurting on the stomach and my head.
‘what’s that? You can feel yourself? well, is that nice?!’ She shouted before she waved me again, now hitting the ceiling. The dim light made her like a crazy witch as the pentagram around her that I was conjuring while I was busy laying on the ground.
‘hasta la vista, my love,’ she said as she was about to remove me but I smiled at her first. She looked at me shocked before she can’t move.
‘You! You!’ She said as she was held by hands that I have called and she cannot move.
‘get me out of here,’ she shouted as she looked at me.
‘Sorry, love, but you have to earn the crazy witch card, I cannot let you go any more,’ I said as I went to take a drink. All those fighting were tiring me up. I don’t know what to say but I just gulped down the whole bottle.
‘Now,’ I said before the sofa was behind me as I went to sit on it.
‘let’s get to business, shall we?’ I said as I was drinking the wine. Abigail laughed as she spat at me.
‘what business? The only business that I know is that you owed me a life. You bastard!’ She screamed as she tried to get to me. My icy hands were holding her back. Fire vs Ice, of course, I was stronger than her.
‘What do you want with the kid?’ I asked as I mentioned the host that she was in. She laughed at my question.
‘don’t you know anything? oh, of course not. This girl is your host’s soulmate, and since you were in that boy's body, I will be taking her for my fun,’ she said as her red orbs were staring at me with her wicked smile.
‘let her go. She has done nothing to you. If you want, you will have to face me,’ I said as I put the bottle down as I have chugged them all. She laughed as her head was tilting back.
‘and let you win this battle? You know better than that. I thought all those years we’ll spend together meant something for you. Something that you have learned from the past,’ she said as she smiled wickedly at me. I sighed before I got up from my seat and I went to stand in front of her, keeping my distance from her.
‘why so far? Afraid of me, my love?’ She asked me as she was looking at me. I scoffed at her as I went a bit closer to her. She smiled at me.
‘I will never be afraid of you. And you better not get on my bad side, Abby, or you will suffer the consequences,’ I warned her as she was staring at me. Her lips curled into a seductive smile.
‘is that so?’ She whispered to me. I felt chills on my bones as I heard that voice. Damn it, this serpent! She always knows how to hit my weakness.
‘can fight it now, can we?’ She asked me as I was trying to clear my head. Think happy thoughts, happy thoughts.
‘Come, come to your love, I will make sure you feel good, my love,’ she said as I was trying to get out of her deceit.
‘no, I will not fall for a second time,’ I said as I was trying to resist her.
‘Are you sure about that?’ She whispered again as I was trying to resist her. I conjured some hands to hold me still from doing her bidding.
‘yes, come to me, my love. Remember our love, you love me,’ she continued to whisper at me.
‘never, you deceived my love for you,’ I said as I was screaming on my feet. She was laughing at me before she looked at me, her red eyes were shining under the moonlight.
‘we’ll see about that,’ she said before she walked out of the prison that I held her.
Abigail the Witch’s POV
I cannot believe it. It was Clive, my beloved. After all these years, I have finally found you. He was still in love with me, I can feel it as I went to his side as I walked out of the pentagram that he made to hold me.
‘i thought you’ll always love me, even in death,’ I said as I held his face in my hands.
‘in your nightmares,’ he said as he was looking at me with all the hatred that he can muster. I sighed. My cousin’s lie has gone out of hands. Even in death, she managed to keep us, Clive and me, apart.
‘i will always love you, even you hate me, Clive,’ I said as I caressed his face.
‘get your dirty fingers off me,’ he spatted. I sighed before I looked at him with sad eyes.
‘Je t’aime,’ i said before I kissed him slowly. He was shocked as my tear was streaming down my face.
‘Goodbye,’ I said before I went to get out of the building through the window. I knocked it off with a fireball before I was flying through the skies, under the moonlight, wiping my tears as I went to search for my cousin.
‘you’ll pay for this,’ I said before I turned into a dragon and went toward her castle.
