One of the more touchy subjects but one of the most important subjects is religion. Christianity specifically.
A lot of non - believers say religion is not for them or that it sounds like a fairytale our mom's used to tell us as children to believe that there is a big guy in the sky who cares about us.
I see how that might seem a bit loony, but I also see the other side.
Sometimes someones religion is the only thing that is keeping them together. Sometimes it is the last hope that they have.
I know this because I have been that person. I have been the person that the only thing keeping her from diving off the side of a building or swallowing a handful of pills is God and his love for me.
I can tell you with complete honesty that God is not a fairytale. A fairytale would not keep someone from killing themselves. A fairytale does not have that much power.
God does though.
When everything is falling apart and the only thing you can do is stare - God will hold you. God will assure you: "I know it is hurting right now. I know you have lost your hope. But, trust me. There is BETTER to come. I can promise you there is WAY better to come."
That hope is the only thing that will keep you going, that hope that there is more than what is currently happening.
Hope is a powerful thing. A very powerful thing.

Without God, I don't know where I'd be. I owe my life to God because he has kept me alive so many times. He has held on to me when I was falling. He has been my light in all the darkness when I couldn't see. He has been with me even when I failed him, keeping me out of harms way. He has not left me for he is still here. Because of him, I have not fallen and I owe everything to him.
Psalms 121:3 "God will not let you fall. Your protector will not fall asleep."
