It was around 3:00am and Taylor had called me during the night. It irritated me and made me whisper yell at him. I quickly wrote a note for my father leaving it on the kitchen table, I grabbed my phone and some things then ran outside to see all three of them were waiting in Taylor's truck. I rolled my eyes and jumped in next to Jeremy who was just smiling an waving at me.
" morning sunshine" Taylor spoke
" shut up, now hit it" I mumbled and watched as he drove and fast
" is that good " he questioned glancing back at me through the mirror
" ehh, you could do better but I wouldn't" I shrugged
" lets just say we have to, to get to Egypt " Duncan explained and showed me the math and science to his explanation.
" wow someones a bigger nerd then I" I chuckled and heard the other two chuckle as well
" oh shush, im smart when I want to be " Duncan snorted
" sure yeah do man" Jeremy teased
Once they stopped talking Taylor sped up, I wish I never met them now. I might die in the process so write a good long ass easy for my eulogy okay? Great thanks.
I closed my eyes holding my legs to my chest as I feel the car crash, it wasn't until I opened my eyes that I realized it worked. The three boys were gone already, talking among themselves at the front of the car. I looked at my watch and it was going crazy, another word would be not working. I get out of the car to hear them stop talking, I looked around and didn't see them. In their places were their animal forms. I raised an eyebrow as Taylor changed back into a human.
" when we teleported the magic in the air kind of changed us" he rubbed the back of his neck and chuckled
" I understand, but holy shit Jeremy is a griffin and Duncan is a cheetah. Wow" I mutter and smile at the both of them
After a while Jeremy and Duncan changed back and crossed their arms, Taylor took some papers off of the car and put them in his pocket. The car changed into a dog collar of the car keys, I yelped and hugged myself as the boys were just laughing. I groaned and set my arms to my side, we were placed on a cliff. I walked to the edge and could see the whole city, it was beautiful from up here. The buildings were made of clay and iron, with clay roofs. Pyramids were still standing in the distance, this place was incredible.
I looked back at them to see they all changed back, Jeremy gestured me to get on his back. Of course. I walked slowly past Duncan and jumped onto Jeremy. Taylor flew ahead of us to see if everythings clear before Jeremy stretched his wings out before flying after Taylor. I watched as Duncan ran after us, actually running on the wind that was under his feet. I coughed and heard him chuckle, which made me roll my eyes. I watched as Taylor landed on Duncan's back, Jeremy took the lead and flew close to the roof tops of peoples homes. I wanted to yell and say hi, but they didn't seem to even notice and flying griffin and cheetah.
We stopped in front of a palace, Taylor changed back into a human and took out a necklace he was wearing. The statues at either end glowed blue and white, a tunnel opened up under the palace. Taylor quickly changed back into a falcon and raced through, same as Duncan and Jeremy. The door closed behind us as it grew darker by the minute, small lights guided our path towards a yellow light. The light faded and changed different colors of the rainbow, we entered a huge room with a door. A symbol of a cat was placed on it, Taylor changed back once more and spoke something in Egyptian.
" w'peh/sahad" he spoke and the doors creaked open
I tiled to the side and saw a whole new world past that door. People were walking all over, I heard they all cheered for these three when they came home. I smiled and then hid behind Jeremy's head, I was nervous they weren't going to like me. I hurried my head in his feathers as he walked forward, Duncan walked next to us to comfort me. Everyone bowed down to Taylor, which was amazing to see. He was like their king, but they already had a queen apparently. Taylor glanced back at me and just smiled, once we past everyone they went back to what they were doing. We walked through another gate and were surrounded by guards. The building went up to the ceiling, it was white and tan and had plants covering most of it, there were cats all over the place as well. Different pelts and everything.
I jumped off of Jeremy who changed back into a human, I shook my head as I felt a bit dizzy from the so called trip. Before I realized it I fell to the ground..
The next thing I know is that Im in someone else's bed. I sat up and looked around, no one was in the room and it was a nice one. I looked to my sides and side the boys were sleeping on the floor, well except for Taylor he was sleeping by my side. I rubbed my eyes to wake up more and yawned in the process. I didn't know how long I was out.
I looked at Taylor and saw he was dressed in robes and jewels, like a king would be. But he was a prince, and a apprentice. My left hand falls into his hair and ruffles it, he slowly sits up and smiles at me.
" morning Cas " he yawned and stretched out his arms before standing up and stretching his legs
" morning prince " I giggle at the word and he rolls his eyes
Duncan and Jeremy were still in their animals forms, I guess they are his protectors who follow him wherever he goes. They were sleeping as if Taylor didn't move. He takes my hand and kisses it, I was taken back by this but blushed instead of saying something. I glanced at the other two and say them smile, I glared at them then looked back at Taylor.
" come, someone wants to get you ready for today"
" alright then" I shrugged and followed him carefully
I followed him down a hallway, a really long hallway. There were flower pots on the floor, lining a path. We opened up to a quart yard, people were rushing everywhere dressed in silk robes that went down to three feet. They had gold crowns of flower petals and smiles that were two big for their faces. Taylor walked into the middle where a girl with a purple silk dress was, her green eyes shimmered in the morning sun. Her eyes looked at me and she bowed, then smirked at Taylor. he rolled his eyes and left before the women teased him.
" hi im Vanessa, his big sister" she smiled and ruffled her hair
" hi im Casper aka Cas" I replied back
" he told me so much about you, I'm so honored to be in your presence " she explained and confused me even more
" what do you mean" I asked and her eyes widen
" don't worry you'll find out soon, but lets go get you dressed " she mumbled as I felt a head nudge on my leg, it was Duncan who wasn't changing back into a human
" oh and Duncan is saying that they can't be in their human form in the presence of gods, since they are just dolls" she explained and gestured me to follow
I looked down at the cheetah, and glanced over at Jeremy. I wanted to talk to them, but why can't I. I petted Duncan's head and told him to follow me, he chirped as I rolled my eyes as him. I walked through an arch way into a room that looked fit for a king, then there was the closet. It was a big walk in closet with dresses and clothing of all sorts, honestly I was flattering but dresses didn't fit me. Vanessa came out and told me to pick a dress out and some jewelry. I nodded and made Duncan wait out of the closet, I could tell he was pouting.
I saw a black dress with gold jewels on it, my eyes lit up. I tried it on and put earrings on, twirling around in it I giggled as I walked out of the closet. Instead of seeing Vanessa I saw Taylor, I blushed as he did the same.
" don't even think about it, lets go Duncan" I muttered as my hand was placed on his head
" oh come on Cas, your beautiful " he admitted as my eyes widen
" thank you, but seriously think about the guys while your at it" I gestured to Duncan and Jeremy.
" didn't Vanessa tell you, their just dolls. They don't have emotions" he chuckled
I couldn't believe my ears, " are you kidding me, I saw them laugh and smile back home, why can't you see that here. Is it because your a prince you think your better then everyone. Just stop trying to be nice to me, your just like everyone else" I glare at him and walk away before he could speak
Once I couldn't see him anymore I ran for the garden, Duncan and Jeremy followed me. I found a bench and sat at it, crying my little heart out. Even though this place seemed magical and beautiful, Taylor was making it worse by acting like a brat. He wasn't a brat when I met him, whats wrong with him now?
" Cas dont cry " Duncan spoke
" thanks.. wait how are you talking to me now" I asked

They didn't say anything, I wanted to make it up to them after all of this. If that was even possible of course.
" where is Cas" someone yelled
I looked up from the guys and saw Taylor looking for me, I groaned as they changed back once again. I blinked and didn't think it was possible, was I the one controlling them? I walk out of the garden and see him smile, I wasn't smiling thought. I glared at him as he gestured me to follow him. I did, people of the town were gathered around a women in battle gear. She turned around and looked just like me, a smile appeared on her lips as small tears fell off of her cheeks.
" go to her Cas" Taylor whispered
" but who is she" I questioned
" my my, you don't remember your own mother" she chuckled
