I thought I was getting over my crush on him and just enjoying our friendship.
That was during winter break when I didn’t see him for two weeks. (And I didn’t text him once).
Fast forward to the first few days of school after break, three things happened that made me question wether I was over him or not.
1) I walked into health class a little late because of mandatory lunch duty, and they were in the middle of prayer. Not my best timing… so I kinda just stand there as my teacher wraps up and I say to him “that was awkward haha,” as I’m going to my seat. Then he’s like “Heyyy but you’re here,” and gives me a thumbs up. But really energetically for some reason.
2) At the end of health class he said he liked my new pin on my backpack, which is a heart made out of two pieces of a skateboard if that makes any sense. I’d never really gotten a complement from him and it was super sweet.
3) But TODAY in honors biology, (he sits next to me btw), we were standing for the start of class and he goes, “I like your sweater.” When I tell you I blushed, I FREAKING BLUSHED. I had to be like “huh? Oh thanks.” And turn away so he wouldn’t see me being awkward. I just don’t know where these compliments are coming from?? Like ofc he’s saying it because he actually likes the things he compliments, but he’s never really done that before…
