So, like I’ve mentioned before, I was new to my school last year (freshman year). As you can imagine, it was a little stressful coming into a new school, but it was also really fun to meet new people.
One of those people, would be my crush…
I’d told myself in the beginning of the year that I wouldn’t get distracted by boys. Yeah, that was optimistic. At first, I just thought he was really cool and wanted him to think I was cool too. Heheh petty, I know.
He was probably one of the nicest people I’ve met, and most innocent XD he was literally everything I wanted in a guy.
It didn’t really start until Sadie Hawkins came around in February. Obviously, the girls ask the guys, so all my friends were asking people except me. Everyone tried to get me to ask someone, but I didn’t. One of my friends suggested that I ask him, and that’s what started it all.
Id managed to keep it a secret until one day. We were standing in the hall and he walked by. My face got so freaking red I swear. So red that even tho I had a mask on (yeah it was that time of year) my friends still noticed. I tried to play it off, I really did.
It didn’t work.
Come Sadie's, it was getting worse by the day. Rumors were spreading :[
We were all at saidies just chilling and having fun until the dancing started. It was a western theme, so it was swing dancing.
My friends get the brilliant idea to ask him to dance with me.
IT SUCKED. He was uncomfortable, I could tell, so I apologized for my friends being dumb then we just kinda laughed it off.
So I avoided him the rest of the year.
Until… I told my best friend about all of this (she lives near me but doesn’t go to my school) and she already knew him so she asked if she could talk to him about me. I thought, what do I have to lose?? :D
My bff: Hey do you know (me)?
him: Oh yeah why?
Her: She mentioned she went to your school and I was just wonderin. She’s literally so nice *gives him my number* :|
He said: yeah I feel like she (me) ignores me and I don’t know why. I feel bad, is it something I did?
her: You know she likes u right?
she’d asked if she could say that lol
him: there was a bunch of rumors going around but I didn’t wanna just believe everything I heard, now I feel bad…
So yep that sucked.
And thennn I had a speech I needed to do and he offered to meet before school to help me 😭 even after he knew it could be awkward he still helped.
I barely talked to him at all the rest of the year 😁
Can’t wait for next year hahahahah
