Miles underneath King Yafeu's castle, Amaro faces Sigmond for the first time in years. Behind Amaro are the two droids. They stand in silence as Sigmond catches up with his former prisoner.
Sigmond: Look at you...It's been quite some time old friend. Looks like you've changed. The world has hardened you even more since your early wars it seems. Anyways with whatever changes you went through. By the looks of it, one thing remains the same. When I summon you. You'll OBEY no questions asked.
Amaro chuckled at the statement Sigmond makes then told him, "Summon, Obey? Haha! Sigmond I'm only here to see the state the King has got you in. And I'll tell ya, besides you still breathing I love it! You're a talking face attached to wires! So if you like that you can still talk. You better tell me why you've "summoned" me or just like Yafeu. I'll slowly take away your ability to function as a living being 1 by 1. And by the looks of it. You got nothing but your eyes, mouth, and brain that's left functioning.
Sigmond: Okay! Okay! Forgive me, it's an old habit I'm sorry. You're right I'm in no position to be taunting you like this. The real reason I've called you here is to let you know the truth.
Amaro: The truth about what?
Sigmond: A holder of one of my viruses...Bast. I want you to kill her...
Angrily Amaro replies "I'd never!"
Before he could continue Sigmond says, "Allow me to explain."
Sigmond replies, "Maybe I'm finally feeling guilty of all that I've done. Or maybe I don't wanna die on this island in this dungeon alone...Look Amaro I'll be straight with you. Bast not only has the healer virus that regenerates battle wounds and aging...She's also Adira's clone."
Amaro's eyes widen in shock as he listens to Sigmond's confession.
Sigmond: I was assigned to engineer the empress a successor in case she would fall in battle. So I cloned her a child. An exact copy of her in every way. Adira could mold this child with her knowledge at an early age, prolonging her rule beyond her death. I had her watch over you prisoners for extra training if one of you acted out.
Annoyed and angered Amaro interrupts and tells Sigmond, "Tell me why you called ME, to tell me this!"
Sigmond tells the angered giant, "I was just getting to it. As you know she won the tournament proving her body was physically capable of handling the healer virus. Well, the thing about that...It wasn't just the virus that she got. An undetectable microchip was injected into her as well. The chip triggers the next stage of her life's purpose. And that's being the next empress of this planet. The triggers that set off the chip are her nation being under attack resulting in her feeling the helplessness of the situation or her true love's death. Anyone who has the will to rule in their veins will rise just off of that. Our plan was for the clone to look at empress Adira as a mother figure. And when she dies by natural causes or unfortunately battle the new ruler will be ready and able...That's where you come in Amaro. Giving you the virus of bloodlust was the failsafe in case the Clone would not be in our control. She's fallen in love with Yafeu and Yafeu considers her as one of her dearest friends. The King doesn't have it in him to kill, but the will to kill is built in the clone. Once those triggers set her off, empress Adira 2.0 will make sure her wrath is felt and leaves her mark on this world. And look around you...The last ruler's mark is everywhere! Through my surveillance and scanner virus, I heard you around the bars here and in the castle here. I know you detest anything and everything the empress's name is attached to. Will you handle this?"
Sigmond looks to Amaro. His brow furrowed in anger. His eyes give a piercing stare toward Sigmond.
Amaro says, "Clone?...Her life's purpose?... It amazes me how heartless your type can be. You can replicate human life. You can improve human biology. Instead, you selfishly use your knowledge to create a living person and force 1 purpose for their soul existence? I refuse. Now let me get back to watching this fight with a cold drink in my hand. Haha! You remember how that feels, do you?"
Amaro begins to head out of the dungeon until Sigmond says, "They're not your children."
Amaro turns around and asks Sigmond, "What'd you say?"
Sigmond repeats himself saying, "They're not your children. Your sentimentality towards them is blocking your true vision for this mission."
Amaro replies, "And what's that?"
Sigmond says with an evil grin, "Helping me rule."
Amaro looks at Sigmond with a blank stare then out of the blue shoves a knife between Sigmond's eyes while he still has his devilish grin across his face.
The two droids who brought Amaro to the dungeon instantly collapse as the knife slams into Sigmond's skull.
Amaro looks at the collapsed droids then to Sigmond and says to himself, "Geez, I hope the kid will forgive me. At the end of the day though. What does this guy have left to tell him?"
Amaro begins to head out of the dungeon. To his surprise all of the sudden the ground beneath him starts to rumble.
The droids stand back up. Their eyes glowing brightly in the dimly lit dungeon.
Amaro smiles as he looks towards them and says, "What? Mad at me because I killed your pal?"
The rumbling stops and the two droids charge Amaro.
The giant warrior grins as the droids approach him. He jumps over the first droid landing on the second one's back.
The first droid gets back up only to be met with a swift combination from Amaro's fists. The robot's head is shattered to pieces from Amaro's punches.
The warrior shakes the oil off his fists and tells himself, "Hmm sorry about that. I didn't damage your memory cards. Yafeu could fix you up. Ya just charged at me randomly ya know. I had to defend myself..."
Sounds of a voice emanating through the walls interrupt Amaro telling him, "As I said before. You're too sentimental!!"
The voice continues to say, "You haven't used to bloodlust virus to its full potential!"
The voice is too familiar to Amaro. He instantly darts his eyes toward Sigmond. His face still with the devilish grin and the knife protruding between his eyes. Amaro says his name, "Sigmond?" Then he asks his enemy a question, "Where are you?"
Sigmond replies, "I'm Everywhere! "
A loud cracking sound echoes through the dungeon.
Sigmond's encapsulated tomb cracks. But it does not set him free. Instead, the tomb, along with Sigmond's head withers away.
Amaro's knife drops to the floor. He approaches the blade and reaches for it.
As he reaches for the knife, to Amaro's surprise a metal hand appears through the dirt and grabs his wrist.
The figure from within the dirt rises and reveals himself to be none other than Sigmond but in a different physical form no one has seen him in. Sigmond talks to his former prisoner saying, "You look surprised? What you're looking at here is simply my newly evolved form...You see Amaro I told you and the others about this before. Through training, the bearer of my viruses all have the opportunity to help their gifts grow."
Amaro says to the revived Sigmond, "You still were encased in your tomb! Training for you would have been impossible!"
Sigmond laughs and replies, "I knew you would've thought something like this Amaro. Well, let me explain it to you. My body may have been in bondage but my mind was not!"
Sigmond lets go of Amaro's wrists as they both see hundreds of combat droids begin to pour into the blown off wall to the dungeon.
Once Amaro notices this and a scowl begins to form across his face he interrupts Sigmond asking him, "What's this supposed to be here? Your buddies supposed to stop me from getting to you?"
Sigmond replies, "Oh no? They're here for me to help with the visualization of the story more. NOW! As I was saying...My body was caged but my mind was free. Every day for 10 years I used my scanning and sonar virus when your King would ask. And every day I kept learning new abilities and strengthening them day after day. One of those new abilities was mind control.
Amaro's scowl breaks.
Sigmond replies, "Ahh haha! That got your attention. Don't worry Amaro. It looks like for now I can only control low-level combat robots. It's not too complex. With their basics circuitry, all it required was a simple hacking for me to piolet their system. The droids who obeyed built me this new body. As time passed we moved our location under the dungeon. What you stabbed was just a husk of my old self I was puppeteering. Using anything above these early droids would alert the King. But who knows what these powers could give me further down the road, now that I'm free!..."
And just like that. The notion of Sigmond getting stronger from beyond what he once burned a fire in Amaro's belly.
Flashbacks of Sigmond using children and prisoners as his guinea pigs for his virus tests flash before his eyes. And Amaro charges forward with murderous intent locked in his eyes.
With enthusiasm Sigmond screams to Amaro, "Haha! Show me what you got!!! "
Amaro draws his sword then swings with all his might!
However, to his surprise he misses by a few inches.
He swings again and misses. Amaro looks behind him and sees hundreds of combat droids pulling him away from their master.
Amaro screams, "Hey! Let go of me!! "
Sigmond laughs and tells Amaro, "That sentimentality will get you killed here boy!"
Now frustrated Amaro's eyes dart back and forth. He notices more robots filling the room by hundreds.
He looks above him and to his surprise hundreds of robots fill the stairway.
Amaro thinks to himself, "My God how long has he had these low-level droids under his control!?"
For the first time in a long time doubt creeps into Amaro's mind.
Sigmond makes his way up the dungeon and tells Amaro, "The king's made you soft Amaro! What happened to the soldier that would kill anyone in his way to complete this mission of revenge you have for your soldiers and family? Haha! Don't tell me you were all talk!?"
He continues to taunt Amaro by saying, "You actually believe what that " little king" tells you? when he says droids were innocent in the war? Yes, we gave them A.I. but they're still OURS! The lives they all took were still by their hands! Women, children, and men trying to defend their homes all fell because of the droids we made. At the end of the day droid or human, it doesn't matter. BOTH SIDES HAVE BLOOD ON THEIR HANDS!
As Amaro struggles to be released from the droid's grip he tells Amaro his piece, "Blood is on their hands because people like you didn't give the droids a CHOICE!"
Sigmond tells his former prisoner, "A CHOICE? The only choices in this world are to live or die. The robots that are still here simply chose life. They were smart to obey guys like me. Hell, even you Amaro! And even now you're gonna have to make that choice. Life or death!" Once I snap my fingers every robot in here will jump on you with the intention to end your life. So if you want to continue your mission of erasing everyone who's done you and your loved ones wrong, you'll have to make a choice...Destroy these droids of war to get to me. Or be buried underneath their metal and die like your friend Nevin!"
Sigmond ascends to the surface telling Amaro, "I'll be in the throne room if you need anything Hahahahaha!!"
As Sigmond ascends to the surface the combat droids on the stairway begin to move towards the bottom of the dungeon.
More droids pour in from the blown off wall.
Amaro screams, "I'll kill you, you bastard!!!"
Sigmond reaches the top of the dungeon and takes a last look at the bottom of the floor.
Nothing is heard but a muffled scream and clashing metal.
Sigmond smirks and enters the throne room. He takes a glance at King Yafeu's throne and takes a seat.
He tells himself, "Hmm let's see what the little king is up to now...He should be here any moment."
Sigmond's eyes light up to show he's scanning Avalon.
Through Sigmond's mind control, a low-level combat droid miles outside of the castle looks to the sky and shows Sigmond King Yafeu heading towards the explosion with Supremeo by his side.
Sigmond's eyes begin to spark another color. To Yafeu's surprise, his eyes ignite the same color.
While on his throne. Sigmond says to King Yafeu, "Hello Yafeu..."
