AIGHT! I FUCKING LOVE DISNEY BUT RECENTLY, RECENTLY THEIR SHIT HAS BEEN SHIT. 

I JUST FINISHED WATCHING DISENCHANTED AND OMFG THEY NEED NEW WRITERS OR SOMETHING! IT WAS AN OK MOVIE BUT ARGH SO CLICHE OR LIKE THE SONGS WERE JUST NOT IT. LIKE MAN I NEEDED MORE BOPS LIKE "How do you know" THAT SONG IS AMAZING. FR I LOVE IT I KNOW ALL THE WORDS TAKE ME TO KARAOKE AND I CAN SING THAT SONG FOR YOU. BUT THE SONGS IN THIS MOVIE? ARGH JUST WEREN'T AS GOOD. THE ONLY ONE I REALLY LIKED WAS LIKE THE BEING BAD ONE AND MAYBE THE WISHING WAND ONE AND THAT'S IT. THEY HAVE SO MANY GREAT ACTORS TOO. IN THIS MOVIE THEY DIDN'T TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THAT. 

Honestly, this isn't just about Disenchanted. It feels like Disney is running out of ideas so they are going with ideas that went really well and are making sequels or live-action. As this works...sometimes. I kinda wish they would release a new princess who did different shit. Sure she can fall for someone but the relationship is more realistic or something maybe she has more goals. TIANA WENT WELL AND SHE WAS REALISTIC KINDA. You get what I mean. Or even, more family-based movies like Encanto or Turning Red. Ohhhh I thought of another one! Soul! It was great movie though apparently, some kids weren't a fan because of the death themes. Those were great movies and they didn't revolve around romantic love. I don't know I just kinda think they need newer ideas. I'm excited about Elementals though. Ohh I feel like they know they are gambling with the remakes and live actions. Like they work sometimes but then flunk a fair bit. Like they get attention but then no one remembers. Like the beauty and beast remake or Aladin. But then they had the good ones and spin-offs like Malificent (but they made a sequel that everyone forgot) or the sequel of Frozen which was a big hit!  Though I feel like a live-action Big Hero Six might get good responses if done right. Also, I'm starting to think they are finally being inclusive to gain attention for the movies and for promotions. Like, do yall remember the Lightyear drama? I feel like it was slightly planned. I'm happy with the representation nonetheless.

Ohhhh imma see strange world Monday too, I think it will be alright. 

Also just to defend me because the last time I talked about loving Disney to someone they went ballistic. I know they did shitty stuff. As much as I would love to not support them. I was raised on that stuff. It's like my childhood a lot of them used to be my comfort characters as well as movies. Disney movies have always felt like a safe place for me to unwind and it's not something I can just let go. I'm not defending the shitty shit they've done. Disney has done some stuff but it doesn't feel right to just let Disney go.
