Usable only by the Altiri under specific circumstances, psionic biolution happens when the Scion suddenly senses the immediate death or passing of a particular individual whom they were close with or loved dearly. The ability in question only works at the time of the target’s death automatically and without any special input from that Scion (in other words subconsciously). It will only happen on targets that Scions has very close relationships or feelings for. Sensing the immediate and distant death of a loved one without even trying is a big deal, and the parameters involved in this are still greatly unknown to the AVPSI. Scryers believe that two psionic individuals are always outputting levels of psionic information relative to their soul and specific to their psionic signature. Since psionic energy waves (even at low power) travel infinitely and instantly in space, this would explain the instantaneous timing of the ability’s trigger and reaction, but not the process. It is believed by those same Scryers that the passing of one close individual results in the termination of their passive psionic emissions, which is detectable even if that person is in a highly heated environment, bypassing the constraints of thermal energy interference, though this unexplained pulse of realization upon death is not understood.
